The store specializes in homemade candles, scents, crystals, earrings, kitchen accessories, mugs, gifty items, you name it. There is an additional wow factor on the left side of the store, a beautiful open space with 2 large tables for candle making. While looking for a fun outing, I googled local candle making classes and came upon this adorable spot. For around $40/pp you can book ahead (they have a select amount of slots per session) for an experience that includes when you arrive: an industrial but adorable apron to wear, a tray set out that has everything you need for the experience, and a note pad/pen. The class is led by awesome women who guide you to pick your vessel, lead you through the scent process (you get to smell scents ranging from sweet to floral to woodsy to fresh), sticker adhesives so you can name your scent, and then are assisted in creating your perfect candle (wax, wick, so on)! To note: if you don't live in the area, you can pay $7 while in the store to have your candle mailed to you within a few days post class. (you don't receive your candle immediately after because it has to set, but if you live closeby, can pick it up the next day). There are also such great eateries and places to tuck into for dessert, tastings, and more nearby, with plenty of street parking and accessibility. Plants and pots seem to be my theme lately and I'm ok with it. This cozy and inviting space is filled with indoor plants and pots of various sizes. Make sure you look high and low so you don't miss anything! The friendly staff approached me to assist, and helped me measure to find just the right size. I took home another pot, a clean matte-finish, white ceramic and it's the perfect replacement pot for my existing snake plant. Thank you Flourish Team! They also sell greeting cards and little home decor items and some jewelry. And they have a new location in Sebastopol. I'll be back!

I have been replacing my All Clad non…read morestick with Hestan titanium which Science says is the best nonstick pan that isn't bad for your health or require the seasoning and heft of cast iron. I went in to ask how to use my new pan because it was sticking a bit. Of course they knew exactly how to solve my problem. I needed to learn how to use my new pan. You have to heat the pan (dry) first, before you add your fat, then add your food (eggs for me). It worked perfectly. The pans have worked every time since. It's always a new learning experience with new technology. Classic nonstick pans taught us never to heat an empty pan. Now it's the reverse. ILeoni has the most knowledgeable staff around. We all know too well how rare good customer service is today. I shop there as often as possible. I want a family owned small business to be able to thrive and be here for decades to come. No luck, so she checked with one of the women preoccupied with her co-workers who said she didn't know if more stock was coming. This second employee announced that the rep for brand A and another for brand B hadn't been to the store and she had no idea when they might visit. I asked if she could order what I was looking for and she said "no, we have to order in bulk". No suggestions , no offer to help. I went back to browsing and the new employee located something similar to what I wanted, so I bought it and two other alternatives, as I needed a gift asap. The new employee wrapped my items up, was very kind and thanked me. I honestly thought maybe I stumbled into a reality show, where the store employees were actors trying to be unhelpful. I refuse to shop on Amazon and that's what brought me to this local shop....but next time I'll find somewhere else to spend my money. For a boutique kitchen store, they evidently don't need the business enough to appear even mildly helpful. But thanks to that new employee.
