Could not get a human pharmacist on the phone to ask about the availability of a medication not currently in my prescriptions

Improperly staff at pharmacy counter. I am standing 1 minutes in a line that is more than 12 people now... One person working, inefficient process even with multiple people working there... quest should allow people to independently can in and facial scan if needed, see prescriptions , pay on line and then only have clerk verify person, payment and hand over prescriptions... a joke .. Walgreens down the street better service... and this town has 2 CVS's ... one as bad as the other...CVS corporate must be bunch of losers not promoting operational efficiency. read more

CVS Pharmacy - 2nd here for same prescription... 1st time not ready 6 inline - Drugstores Near Me - Needham, Massachusetts

I filled a month's prescription for a generic drug that has been on the market since 2003. They only gave me 6 tablets instead of 20, a months supply for $20. They told me that my insurance company will only pay for the 6 tablets. I called Union Pharmacy in Needham (they opened about 3 months ago). Without insurance, it would cost me $10 for 20 tablets. Then I went to the following website. https://www.wellrx.com/. It states that it is a discount card. I can get all 20 tablets for between $12 - $14 at Hannaford, Shaws, Star Market and Stop and Shop. This makes no sense. It is a lot cheaper without insurance. 6 tablets for $20 versus 20 tablets for $13. read more

Despicable. CVS Pharmacy on Highland Street in Needham lied to me. They confirmed my appointment for COVID + Flu vaccines. At the appointment, the pharmacist greeted me and gave me one shot. I asked about the other shot. She said they had only flu shots, no COVID shots. CVS gave me NO prior notice that there was no COVID vaccine available. The pharmacist did not tell me about the lack of COVID vaccines until after giving me the Flu shot. I had arranged two weeks of activities (blood donation, etc.) around getting both shots today. read more

The pharmacist is one of the greatest of all time. Nicholas really puts on his best work here. I really enjoy going there when he is there. He always goes beyond for everyone and might I say, he's the greatest immunizer of all time. He's charming, funny, and everything a human should be. I think the world is better off with him around, a very special and distinct person. read more

Short Staffed, unfriendly and not very knowledgeable! I shouldn't have to fight with CVS Pharmacy every time I need a prescription filled. The person I spoke to was rude. I was put on hold while I was in the middle of talking, I was told to call back later because she was having trouble figuring out how to put in for the prescription? Aren't they a Pharmacy? Great staff very friendly and helpfull even though they are so overwhelmed with work. They run around like children with head cut off but they smile and acknowledge you when you inter the store immediately. If you book a vaccine appt, you should be told it's not available before you take time away from work to get it. Not only that, but I was not even told it wasn't available until after they'd given me a flu shot. Shame on you CVS! read more

The worst CVS i've been to. I got there two minutes before closing time to buy a pack of gum and was told to leave because they were getting ready to close. By the time i wrote this, the store had not yet still technically closed... glad i drove there... I wanted to give Zero stars but it wouldn't let me. These horrible reviews are not nearly the way I feel about my experience in this CVS recently. Even though I don't live all too far away, and visit Needham often, I hadn't ever been to this specific CVS store until recently. I had always gone to the other location in Needham Center or the Walgreens further down this street, but for some reason never stopped here. It's not the largest CVS, but somewhat consistent with the other Needham location (both rather small but both have a full line of products), and with the efficient staff and no issues of any type, this is my kind of place to go. I haven't used the pharmacy, so I cannot comment on that, and even though others seems to have lots of dissatisfaction with this place, I find it to be more than fine. Associates are friendly, and keep a fair number of checkout registers open (this place is normally fairly busy). Make sure to remember to scan your ExtraCare card at the price scanner for coupons! I saved over $10 here due to ExtraBucks and coupons. Parking is available in the rear side of the store, and access to the store is available from Highland Avenue or the back parking lot. Not much clearance, but lots of seasonal stuff, so I assume they do have clearance somewhat often. The layout of the store is not ideal, but works due to the weird shape of the store. Organized well, and overall, it's well stocked and clean. I'd come back in the future and suggest others to stop here. This really isn't nearly as bad as others illustrate. 4 stars. read more

This is a review about the Pharmacy. I used to get my prescriptions here all the time and I'm not sure why it took me so long change pharmacies. 9 out 10 times I have a horrible experience here. Here's some of my complaints: * Rude Pharm. techs * Disorganized Lab (often can't find the medicine, misplace it) * Long Lines * Disinterested Pharmacists I once had to call 3 times to make sure the pharmacy received the medicine I desperately needed ASAP, I had to call my doctors office and the pharmacy to make sure I could get my medicine. CVS Pharmacy kept saying they didn't have it, when in fact they did. When I arrived 20 min later (the time frame they told me the prescription would be filled) I still had to wait. They put my medicines on automatic refill when I never requested it. So while the locations is extremely convenient and the CVS Store is nice, I will never use the pharmacy again. read more

Wow! This place has completely changed. Refilling prescriptions has been super easy on line and walking in. Service inside the cvs is great. I was asked 3 times by 3 different employees if I needed help finding something. Very impressive! read more

Very unhappy with the pharmacy support. I needed help choosing an OTC product and headed to the consult desk at the pharmacy. The pharmacist COULD NOT be bothered. She was aloof, would no come to the space to speak with me and only spoke to me via a cashier running back and forth to her. This was on 6.20.17. Awful service, she recommended the wrong item and I'm paying the price after hours with intense pain and discomfort. I'm not going back. Flipping my scripts over to Walgreens. They are soooo much nicer and far more helpful. read more

Phantom texts about prescriptions being ready and showing up at the store with no such prescription waiting to be picked up (common occurrence). Ordered refill through the automated telephone system and showing up at the store a few hours after the appointed time and there is no prescription waiting (again, a very common occurrence). Complained to the pharmacy tech and met with a simple shrug of the shoulders. Placed order in person with the pharmacy tech and went to pick up the next day. When I brought the prescription home, there was only seven pills! Yes, seven pills. I was supposed to get 30 pills for the whole months. Wasting more of my time again. Thanks a lot CVS! read more

This CVS located in the Trader Joe's Plaza in Needham Heights is convenient to my home, but I am really tired at the lack of attention to keeping the parking lot entrance to the store clean. There are always cigarette buts and trash all around the entrance. The carpet inside the doorway is VERY dirty. Today I asked to speak to the manager to share my concerns. Her immediate response was "I will notify the management company." I could not believe my ears. My response back to her was "don't you have any pride in your store?" If I was the manager, I would have sent a staff member outside to address my concern. If the entrance is dirty, I can only expect the pharmacy to be dirty too. Walgreens, here I come! read more

Rude and inattentive! Ugh- I always get attitude at the pharmacy in this CVS. And more than once they've failed to read the "no substitution" at the bottom of my script. Today they did not have the medication I needed in stock. I was in the middle of asking the gentleman "helping" me (older guy w/ white hair, mustache & glasses) to call and see if they were in stock at another nearby CVS when he proceeded to answer an incoming phone call and completely ignore me. They are consistently rude. I frequently leave the pharmacy disgruntled because of the pharmacists or the long line at the pharmacy.

I go to this CVS because very close to my home. They are horrible! One time some stole a few Vicodin from the bottle and hastily screwed the cap onto the paper bag. Another X I saw a pharmacy tech drop pills on the floor and scoop them up and put them back in the bottle and put it back on the shelf. I questioned this and the response was " oh he's young". Last week wrong dose of medication in bottle and different from the label. read more

This is the worse Pharmacy EVER. I have had to wait well over and hour for prescription to be filled. I watched an employee drop pills on the floor and scoop them up and put them back in the bottle and return the bottle to the shelf!!! I have received the wrong medication on 2 different accounts and another time someone helped themselves to 3 vicoden and when they sealed the bottle back up it was all caught up in the paper bag. I have called corporate a few times but to no avail. Run away!!!!!! read more

This is a very well-managed CVS. There is rarely a long waiting time to check out, employees are very helpful when approached and generally want to help. Shelves are well-stocked and neat. Pharmacy sometimes has a longer line, but in general is still very helpful with minimal fuss. I go here every time and I plan to continue doing so! read more

This Pharmacy dispensed the wrong antibiotic for my son. The antibiotic they gave him was ineffective on a sinus infection, and he suffered for 5 days until the mistake was realized. No apology from the store! I will never go back there. read more

Yikes ... the worst CVS in the area and I have been to many across the region. Pharmacy staff prefer to look at their computer screens than to facilitate or help. The place is in desperate need of some corporate intervention and customer service training. Checkout is a dismal, life diminishing experience. Lines are painfully long; no self checkouts. Clerks are rude, sullen, and grumpy. Trying to find an item? Good luck to you. Don't dare ask for help. They won't listen and rather ignore you. Here's an example: After my items are rung up, I use my my chip credit card to pay for items. I insert the credit card and after a few seconds, I place my thumb on the card. I don't remove the card. I simply have my thumb ready so the card can be removed once the transaction is complete (I want to get out of this place) The clerks barks at me. Yes, barks at me like a two year old. DON'T REMOVE THE CARDDDD! I told him I wasn't removing the card. It's my card and I'm keeping my eye on it. No response. Obviously, I didn't remove the card because the transaction completed. After the transaction is complete, my items sit on the counter. Hello? would you mind bagging them. I'll bag them myself, but could you kindly reach down on your side of the counter and give me one? When I ask for a bag, his answer: You want a bag? Well, yes, I have bottles of Listerine, toothpaste, band-aids, etc. Sort of easier to have them in a bag, don't you think? These people in the pharmacy are just plain R-U-D-E. They act like you're bothering them when all you want is your Rx or ask a question. One time I waited in a long line to ask if my Rx is filled and some middle aged menopausal unhappy woman said I had to step over to the "consultation" window. I said I've been in line for 15 minutes. So she nastily repeated herself "We don't answer that here GO TO THE CONSULTATION WINDOW, then rolled her eyes and said "NEXT". Then I moved over ten feet to the stupid consultation window, where some weird old man ignored me until I spoke up and said can you please help me? he rudely said, "I'll be with you in a minute" and then he just kept ignoring me. And I just stood there. I looked over at the poor sick people in line and we all just shake our heads. And this happens nearly every time I go there.. Also, They loudly ask your date of birth and if you're "age sensitive" and don't want to yell it they will yell it out for you just to be A$$holes. If they are so miserable there then find another job. Do us all a favor quit. Why doesn't Corporate read these reviews and take action?!?!? read more
