To get answer to a question is like pulling teeth . They messed up my RX as well . It was difficult to get it correct without my doctor being on stand by . The worst pharmacy. I had a prescription sent over yesterday. I went to pick it up and was told they did not have time to fill it and come back in the morning. I returned and a rude pharmacist screams at me she did not have enough staff to fill it and I need to wait 25 min I will never use this location again. Always a problem read more

The Pharmacy is great, very happy with the new Pharmacist Devin. My problem is the sloppy service with the Photo Department and the lack of concern by the manager. When I went to pick up my online order at the Chestnut Hill CVS they couldn't find it and sent me to 978 Boylston Street CVS. The young cashier, Lulu, at the 978 showed me that my order was at the Chestnut Hill CVS. I turned around and went back, when the order was located the manager could have cared less that I was wasting time and driving up and down Boylston Street in rush hour traffic. read more

Came back on a better day, the pharmacist definitely tries to work as fast as she can, I think her name is Rita. She is courteous to customers and gives accurate waiting times. I guess you have to keep in mind that this CVS is quite popular. Some of the pharmacy cashiers have no experience working with customers. They seem young and inexperienced. More than disappointed with this CVS store. For the actual store, I had no HUGE issues. The store was extremely organized and they had everything I needed in stock, yet it was a bit small than preferred. Yet, so far 4 star CVS. Then I come to checkout. With only a 12-pack of Nestle small Water bottles, and a few other small items. My cashier was "John", and his nametag read, Assistant Manager. He was friendly at first, yet when the 12 pack of water came up at the register at $2.67, and the sign read $2.19, he basically said it couldn't be. I brought him over to the sign which read "2.19, Nestle PL WTR 12PK" (PL is for Pure Life). He said he would match that price, and would fix the error. Since that item is a grocery item, and CVS sells more than 100 grocery items, by state law, I am supposed to get one unit of the water for free. Specifically, this happened at the Dedham CVS Pharmacy at 947 Providence Highway, a few months ago, when manager Melissa handled it personally, and took an interest in trying to get the law posted at that store, and to figure out why they didn't have them posted. She also gave me my item for free. Here, this guy "John" turned sarcastic and rude and ended up still being friendly, yet not giving me one unit of the water for free, he put in a $1 off coupon. I guess, CVS corporate will have to get a call about this. He said "You're going to go the law about $2, it's going to cost $10,000 to go to court over $2", it's a law they are supposed to go by it. Plus, the other CVS down the street, on Route 9 is remodeled, hassle-free and consumer-friendly, without John. He was friendly, and astonished at some points, so I'll give him credit for not being miserable, yet really, you couldn't have just given me one for free. Hopefully, CVS corporate can send me a gift card for $2.19, so I don't have to contact the Division Of Standards. After all that, my receipt (which I posted a picture of), reads "1195 Boylston Street, Brookline MA 02146". INCORRECT! Should be "1195 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill MA 02467". Annoying and in need of fix. Overall, fine store, just don't go looking for customer service. There is barely any good service at this location. UPDATE : 9/17/15 : Called corporate and got call back from store manager saying that the city line is in the parking lot so Star Market is in Chestnut Hill and CVS is in fact, in Brookline, therefore, CVS.com is incorrect, saying it is in Chestnut Hill. read more

My husband had surgery and was discharged at 8:30 pm from the Brigham. He needed a pain prescription filled. I called the Chestnut Hill CVS and spoke to the pharmacist knowing we wouldn't arrive until 8:50 pm and they close the pharmacy at 9 pm. He told me he wouldn't be able to fill the prescription that night because his shift ended at 9, and it would take 15 minutes to fill. We asked if he could just stay a little late so we could have the medication that night and he said no. What medical professional won't stay an extra 5, 10, 30 minutes late to help a patient? It's really terrible and CVS doesn't deserve my business. I went to Walgreens in Newton instead where they were nice and helpful. CVS, you should be ashamed of yourself. read more

Pharmacists are friendly. But every time I have been here, people stand on your heels at drop-off, consultation, and pick-up. You have zero privacy! None. I'm giving you my address, insurance info, allergies, etc and I have someone breathing down my neck. I've mentioned to the pharmacist twice that they need to put a sign or a piece of tape or something to show ppl where they need to stand to respect customer privacy. Most pharmacies have it. Considering driving the extra two miles just to not be uncomfortable. This is not a difficult or expensive task for the store. I'll buy the d*mn sign! Fix it! read more

I called to call in a prescription I was never asked to be put on hold but was on hold for a total of 15mins and was rudely asked "can't you just fax it in" then placed on hold again. Had to call back to get fax number. Will not recommend. read more

I have usually found pretty good service at this pharmacy but over the last 2 months have gotten multiple calls to pick up a refill I hadn't called in. During the 4th phone call to remove myself from the automatic renewals "I must have signed up for" (I did not) I was told that I should have called them, put on hold after 15 or so minutes of conversation and given to a different employee to start the whole thing over. Strange, Martha bagged my items , asked me for my cvs card. I said I forgot mine. Told me she used a courtesy card. Still paid full price.Checked out but had to come back in because I was missing one item. She pulled it from a basket full of similar lost items. Why put it there if I might come back for it. I went to this cvs the other day because I needed change, so I decided to buy an energy bar that it said was on sale. I went to register and it rang up at the regular price so I ask the cashier if it was a mistake and he rolled his eyes at me and started to tell me that I was supposed to give him a cvs card and that I probably didn't read the sign correctly ina very rude manner. By that time I just wanted to walk out but he checked the items price on the computer and said, 'Ha! See, I told you. You have to learn to read. It says if you buy four!' Normally, I would have bought it anyway but he was so rude that I just left him with the bar and went to the cvs in newton center where the staff is a lot more friendly. read more

So this would be an awful review if it wasn't for the most wonderful employee, Susan, who completely saved this review. I dropped two disposable cameras off to be developed at the beginning of july and over 3 weeks later I hadn't received any notice to come pick them up. I called the store and was like ??? and the guy said oh just give me 30 min i'll print them right now. Like why couldn't that have happened 2 weeks ago?? Whatever. So when I opened the photos, they had only given me 1 CD, like 7 copies of some photos and 1 copy of other photos, and a grand total of 30 pictures when I was supposed to have 52. I went back the next day to inquire what the fuck happened and they said they couldn't find the order at all until my girl Susan stepped in and handled the whole situation. She called the company and told them to resend all the pictures asap and printed me all new photos and CDs. Moral of the story, go to Walgreens to do photo stuff. It will be a lot less time and probably a lot more accurate. And also god bless Susan. read more

I had a very unfortunate incident here. I ordered a special bandage for my elderly mother and was quoted $25 per package. When I returned I was surprised to hear that the price was now $45 per package. I told the pharmacist Missy that the item was available on Amazon for $23 per package but she didn't care and she refused to honor the representation made by their employee 3 days before. Missy claimed that she wasn't responsible for mistakes made by the employees who worked for her. I don't agree with this philosophy especially when the item is commonly sold for less than they had quoted me anyway. read more

My experience at this CVS has not been good. The lines are always too long, there is never enough staff, and the staff that is there is either poorly trained or way to busy. As a result, the staff tends to be rude. I had a problem with a prescription and had to wait a long time to be seen -- the apathy was not welcomed either. So, unless you have time to waste, don't go there. I'm taking my business elsewhere. (And after reading the other Yelp reviews/warnings on this site, I should have done that earlier!) read more
