Also, my drug plan made CVS a preferred pharmacy, so it was worth the cost savings. The pharmacy here is located inside of Boston Children's. It's located on the second floor near the gift shop. The location is NOT a full-service CBS. It is mainly a full-service pharmacy with a small selection of common OTC products. They are open later than most locations, given the demand and the fact that there is an ER right downstairs. My only complaint is I wish it was 24-hours. The ER ALWAYS discharges you in the middle of the night with no way to fill medicine. I'd love to see them go 24-hours or install a self-service kiosk that stocks common medicines. It would be helpful beyond belief! The pharmacists here are all highly skilled, professional, and dedicated to their job. They know the stakes are a bit higher given it is serving a Children's Hospital. They know the needs of their clientele are more unique than your typical pharmacy. I've had physicians special order medication's by brand. Most pharmacies make it difficult. Here, they're happy to order in whatever is needed if they can source it. They had my special order medicine in stock the next morning. The pharmacists truly know their stuff and will bend over backwards for their patients. I had to have an emergency surgical procedure in the emergency room late at night. My doctor ordered pain medicine. They were out of the desired medication. The pharmacy team took the time to work with my doctor to find a suitable alternative so I would not be stuck in pain. They truly take the time to ensure you are taken care of. I have yet to visit any other pharmacy that runs so smoothly and with such a high level of care for their patients.

It's nice that they have long hours and don't close for lunch like the other locations. Photos- imho they're usually pretty good here compared to other stores in the area! Wherever I order photos, I call ahead to check that the machine is working and someone is on duty to run it. It's pretty fantastic to be able to get same-day posters, greeting cards, prints etc and they often have discounts on the website. I love the peel n stick posters. Staff overall are usually nice and want to be helpful in my experience

And since I don't have the Walgreens card, an employee, who was kind, accommodating, and helpful, jumped through several hoops to make it happen. Thank you! The store overall is cozy, and the pharmacy area is tiny, meaning a line forms throughout the aisles if it gets busy. My main gripe with this location is it feels super cramped. I figure this is because of its location at the Longwood Galleria, but I wish they could at least utilize their space more efficiently. The aisles are narrow, and if there's more than two people in line at the pharmacy counter then they're bound to be blocking one of the aisles. Product selection isn't as varied as other CVS locations but they have the basic necessities. Good option if you live/work in the Longwood Medical area but not worth going to otherwise.

Well it turns out that Fenway Pharmacy is a non-profit organization, funded with grants, government money, and private donors. There's no way that they can keep up with the load, because it's basically 2 pharmacies of people all filling here. Line is always 10-15 people deep no matter the time of day. I've had my prescriptions take so long to be filled that they were delayed and then my doctor had to re-call them in. They have been out of several of my prescriptions that I NEED for weeks to months on end. It's so hot in there that while everyone's waiting we all break out in a sweat. I have a heat triggered condition and I know if I go to the pharmacy that it's the last thing or sometimes the only thing I'm able to do all day. There's no seating for elderly folks. I've watched 80 yr old patients with mobility devices forced to stand and sometimes sharing or arguing over the one chair provided. If you have a question they will not answer it at the full line once you get to the front and instead have you wait in a second and almost equally as long line. Every time I've been here it's taken me 30 min to an hour and a half to take care of everything. I changed my pharmacy today because I just can't support the corporate system abusing their pharmacists and closing a needed pharmacy in the area, nor am I physically able to stand for that amount of time.
