They never open on time, they never have shit in stock but always inventory in the aisles. U can press the help button for locked items and best believe you'll be waiting 10 mins or more. Not only do they not open on time but sometimes they close early. Oh don't bother calling because they won't answer or don't speak good engish or have a attitude. I even noticed recently asset protection targeting minorities multiple times over the course of a month bc i live in the area but the middle schoolers or white college students they will walk right past them stealing but a minority they immediately call the police and lock the doors. read more

i am a 70 yr old disabled woman who had her SNAP benefits stolen at the CVS store on Harvard St,when apparently there was a "skimmer" type device placed on one of the self checkout cash registers,and sometime between the 22 and the 27 of March my snap benefits were stolen.I have called the Brooklie Pd and the Dta office to alert them of the issue,but quite frankly,the lack of seriousness with which the asst Mgr and the head Mgr took my concerns was apaualing. They have had a LONG history of lackluster performentc what with their VERY long wait lines to pick up pres as well as their frankly appauling sad lack of ANY kind of decient cutomer service skills.Please alert any of your friends and reletives,especially any elderly/disabled ones,tha tthey DO NOT CARE about you no matter how much $$$ they suphon off of all of us consumers every day?week/month/year. AVOID! Echoing other reviews and previous experiences here, this is the WORST DRUGSTORE in the area. I tried to buy Tylenol (which is now locked up). I pressed their help button 3 times over the course of five minutes and no one came, so I walked out and purchased it elsewhere. Store is completely understaffed. One employee's job appears to be to just watch over the self checkout lanes (which were empty when I left) so it must have been out of their scope of responsibilities to come help me. The last few times I came here for Tylenol, the long line from the RX counter completely blocked the pain relief aisle, so I had to awkwardly stand in the RX line while waiting for someone to unlock the products. Which brings up the last problem; the RX counter is equally understaffed and closes for lunch resulting in a backup of customers that lasts forever. This pharmacy is UNBELIEVABLY bad. The latest: I came to pick up a prescription at 145pm on Saturday afternoon. It is closed with the metal barrier down. Someone is working inside but when I call to them they do not answer. There is no sign posted explaining why they are closed and when/if they will reopen. A random person tells me she thinks they are closed for lunch. WTAF?!?!?! Update: when they finally reopened, i notes that it would be helpful to have signs if they were taking a lunch break. If you have any other options, go there. This pharmacy is an absolute fucking joke. They don't fill prescriptions unless you come in and say you need them, and then they fill them. They lose track of filled prescriptions and it takes two or three of them to scour the store, and they still don't find them. They reshelve filled prescriptions three days later even if you say you'll come get them. They never answer the phone. They're rude. They lie to your face. I need these meds to exist. Outstanding service obtaining vaccines at the 400 Washington St Brookline MA CVS, courteous and prompt staff

If I could rate 0 stars I would for the pharmacy. The pharmacy is abysmal. No one can get through to their phone line without at least a 20 min wait. When I already had refills and tried to refill it, I was told that they needed doctor authorization. The next day, it was in process. I rely on cvs for medication thats life saving and I ended up in the ER because I couldn't get medication for days. I'm unsure if its a miscommunication between dr and pharmacy or just CVS but no one should end up in the ER because they weren't dispensed medication on time. read more

Believe all the bad reviews. I read them and took a chance a few times, but each time the prescription was NOT ready at the "guaranteed time." I even went a day later to play it safe. The lines are always long and the service is terrible. You never get a clear answer about why they are always late other than "it's just not ready" and then they tell you to "go somewhere else" when you tell them you waited forever just to be told it's not ready. Every time I leave empty handed I get a text 15 minutes later saying it's ready. It's like a sick game, not a professional pharmacy. They won't start working on it until you have already wasted your time. To the worker who told me to go somewhere else, I will. And it might not effect you today but when you tell enough people to go somewhere else and they listen, you won't have any customers to disappoint. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Strike one I was given too many pills one month (they miscounted and I didn't realize there were extra pills) and then they called me and asked me to return the pills. I get why but it was still a mistake on their end and I had to go out of my way to return them before work with barely an apology. They take forever to fill a prescription and do a poor job in notifying you or your physician that something is out of stock. I needed a prescription filled and they didn't let me know it was out of stock until I was basically out. They didn't know when they were going to get more in stock and luckily told me to get it filled at another pharmacy that did have it in stock. That was strike two. Strike three I was sick and needed medication ASAP- it was for nausea so it really really wasn't something I could wait a few days for- I needed it right then. It was called in 2 days ago and according to the app (because I can't get through to a person) it still isn't ready. Thankfully I found a few expired pills from a previous illness that I was/am able to take in the meantime. This CVS location wasn't always this bad and I'm a pretty understanding person when it comes to how understaffed pretty much anywhere in healthcare is but I'll be looking to transfer my perceptions elsewhere. read more

Man, I should have read the reviews about the pharmacy a long time ago... Except for the poor woman that tried to help me today, because it is the first time I've been helped by her--these so-called pharmacist technicians are IDIOTS! Someone put my meds in the wrong alphabetical category. So I am waiting forever while this poor woman searched all over the place in the right categories. And because there were other people waiting she gave the task to the pharmacist. The pharmacist also couldn't find my meds... So now no one's helping me...but then I looked straight ahead of me and saw a bag of meds leaning forward exposing--hey guess what?--MY meds. I saw AR for the first two letters of my last name and the meds name. I got excited! The sweet technician that helped me was helping someone and all the others were on the other side of the room. So I raised my voice and let them know I spotted them. So two stupid, young, technicians came over and one of them was trying to snap at me saying I am yelling. I explained that all of them were across the room, and I really wasn't yelling. The idiot told me I was and was still yelling. Okay! Well sure I was at that point because they triggered me. This isn't the only time these silly people have triggered me, as a matter of fact I get more triggered there then not. So I need to make a change before someone goes too far and I jump over that counter and do something crazy. Nope! No more. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Pharmacy computerized system promises prescription refills will be ready at certain time. Never happens. Calling to ask about prescription status doesn't work because pharmacy does NOT answer phone. Sometimes I must make 3 or 4 trips to the pharmacy to ask if refill is ready, then to return later only to be told that it isn't even in stock, and must return the next day to get it . . . and on. While I wait there, I always hear other people making some exact complaint. Corporate CVS took a fine, caring, experienced pharmacy staff--and now has an understaffed, harried, hassled skeleton crew. I leave and get texts that it's ready, I come back, stand in line and then they say "come back in an hour". Very disorganized and honestly probably needs new management. The problem with this location is that it is just too busy for the staff to handle the number of customers that use this pharmacy. Despite that, I believe that Kedeshia, Jasmine and Kathrine try very hard to help their customers in a professional and timely way. First the good: convenient location and the pharmacists are kind. Now the BAD: pharmacists are over worked, a cvs closed in this area and everyone went here. There's no way that they can keep up with the load, because it's basically 2 pharmacies of people all filling here. Line is always 10-15 people deep no matter the time of day. I've had my prescriptions take so long to be filled that they were delayed and then my doctor had to re-call them in. They have been out of several of my prescriptions that I NEED for weeks to months on end. It's so hot in there that while everyone's waiting we all break out in a sweat. I have a heat triggered condition and I know if I go to the pharmacy that it's the last thing or sometimes the only thing I'm able to do all day. There's no seating for elderly folks. I've watched 80 yr old patients with mobility devices forced to stand and sometimes sharing or arguing over the one chair provided. If you have a question they will not answer it at the full line once you get to the front and instead have you wait in a second and almost equally as long line. Every time I've been here it's taken me 30 min to an hour and a half to take care of everything. I changed my pharmacy today because I just can't support the corporate system abusing their pharmacists and closing a needed pharmacy in the area, nor am I physically able to stand for that amount of time. The line here goes pretty quickly.theyre now offering email receipts instead of their printed scroll. They also have fancy reusable bags. DO NOT FILLL YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE!!! The actual store, and it's employees are wonderful and deserve a 4/5 at least. Unfortunately, the pharmacy is a total disaster. As other reviewers have stated, the pharmacy techs are quite rude. Beyond that, mistakes are constantly being made. In the year i have been filling my rxs here ( a year too long) the following errors have been made: - I have received the incorrect DOSE - I have received another individual's medication - I have received two of the SAME prescription (charged twice and given twice the prescribed quantity) - I have had my prescription SPLIT so instead of receiving 90 mg, I have to go to the pharmacy twice a month, once to get my 60 mg and again for the other 30! My doctor did not call in the rx this way but that is how the pharmacist transcribed it, so I have the pleasure of dealing with these gems twice as often - I have constantly been texted and called to inform me my rx is ready, only to arrive at the store and it NEVER IS READY This was especially concerning earlier this week, when the temperature reached the high 90s and there was a line forming of elderly customers all waiting for the prescriptions they had been told were ready. Awful and getting worse. I waited with an older woman in front of the Advil, which was behind a locked plastic barrier. I pushed the button for help three times and waited 15 minutes for anyone to come, just to get Advil. No one came. I mentioned this at the front register, asking someone to please go help the older woman who needed medicine, and the person working at checkout clearly did not care. In the last 3 days, I have needed to drop off and pick up a prescription. The wait to drop off the prescription was over 30 minutes and to pick up close to an hour. There were plenty of employees just standing around but only 3 behind the counter. When I asked the manager, she said there was nothing she could do. This is the single worst drugstore I've ever been forced to patronize. It's an affront to accessible healthcare. It is easier to get medication in third world countries. Literally. They do not alphabetized filled scripts. I repeat....the 20-45 minutes everyone posts as a problem at this location is largely related to the fact that they DO NOT ALPHABETIZE filled scripts. You cannot get a person on the phone ever. It's has to be a social experiment; one of the most literate and liberal zip codes in the country and a breadline pharmacy that can't seem to stock normal medications and even when told you are paying out of pocket for a regular script 2 days before refill is due because I'm leaving on a trip, they cannot allow it. I strongly recommend that you avoid this pharmacy with long wait lines most of the day and staff that are clearly over worked and may also be under trained, or not up to the jobs. Several weeks ago I went to pick up a med when I had been informed it would be ready. When I got to the front of the (long) line they told me when to return to pick up a medication, only to find that it was not ready - after waiting on line and coming back at the promised time a second time. The third wait on a line, the script was ready. Tonight they closed down with six people on line, not to open for another 14 hours. Sick people need their meds. By way of a justification, the tech referred to making an overhead announcement, but not that any of us heard. We were all on the line way before the cut off time. I purposely went out 15 minutes before closing because I was still ill and did not have the stamina for a long wait. So, go anywhere else. Clearly understaffed, long waits, rude staff (although I imagine that some of it is from the stress). CVS you owe it to the customers to do a better job at the pharmacy. This is disgraceful. I repeat. Go. Anywhere. Else. Someone else, in their complant noted she was contacting the Attorney General. I had to wait over 1.5 hours for a simple prescription while there were many staff. As a healthcare provider myself, I found it so incompetent to make patients wait for this long while they had many staff working. They kept telling me they would expedite it while making me wait for another 30 minutes. Not feeling well, I informed them that I wanted to leave and then they had my prescription ready. Thee stars and fading in my opinion. I used to have no problem with this location. they always had my prescription within 2 days, knowledgeable staff, willing to help. NOW, even the pharmacists are even cluelessl. I asked if they had calcium citrate the other day and they had no clue what I was talking about. And with the new pharmacy shut down for half hour makes a HUGE difference. who ever in corporate came up with that idea is certainly not the smartest person. dont you think its better to have shorter lines throughout the day than one 7-10 people deep at 115 and right at 2 full of angry customers? Each time i go to get meds now, it ALWAYS takes at least a half hour and i have to plan around work just to pick up my meds. today i saw at least 5 elderly folks almost faint because the line was so long. They rarely answer the phone so if you have a question you have to physically come in. If you do by some miracle get someone on the phone they are pretty much useless and can't answer your questions anyway. They don't fill prescriptions unless you ask them which makes no sense. My provider sending the prescription should be indication enough that I would like it filled. I never had these problems with the Beacon street location. read more

Honestly I've had nothing but bad experiences at this location for the last year or so. The line is consistently insanely long, for starters. Actually, I'm writing this review while still standing in line after arriving about 30 minutes ago and watching several customers in front of me bail due to the long wait time. When I've tried calling before coming in to try to save myself time waiting in line, I've waited on hold for over an hour at times. I had a surgery recently and needed post-op medications and had to come in person and wait in the line 5 times before they finally got the prescription right (which finally happened 3 days after my surgery, and I started trying to get this script the same day as the surgery itself. As a doctor, these long delays and hurdles can be problematic for patients' health). I will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere, the inefficiency and poor service is not tolerable anymore. read more

Have been using this CVS pharmacy monthly for many, many, years with only good experiences. Per other reviews: visits here in past month (I've had to make multiple visits, all unsuccessful!) - have been like stepping into the twilight zone. It's impossible to put into words how disorganized, nonsensical, and frankly bizarre it's become to pick up a simple blood pressure med. I'll spare the details, but suffice to say....it was too stressful for me to see how stressed all the other poor folks in non-moving lines were....especially when people are told, after standing 30 min in the pick-up line, that they first need to go to the non-moving "drop-off" line - to request that a prescription their doc called in the day before actually be filled. Nobody knows what's going on - least of all the staff (who were formerly excellent!). I've had my prescriptions called into to another pharmacy. Problem solved! Strongly advise you do the same.
