Made the mistake of giving them a second chance, came to pick up medications and buy vitamins only to be told by pharmacy staff to go to the front because vitamin on sale was not ringing up with sale price, front store staff kept complaining that sale price is not showing because of my loyalty card, ok that's not my problem but they were so focused that it's my fault they don't even apologize or try to resolve. Finally called supervisor who walked as slowly as possible whilst playing with her phone only to tell me the same thing. Seriously ? I asked for their names because "supervisor" wasn't even wearing a name badge, immediately she tries to be nice and helpful, to me that's too late. read more

This review is of the actual pharmacy, versus larger store. Pharmacy regularly makes errors which it lacks ability to correct. One small example: CVS pharmacist mis-transcribed doctor's electronic instructions to take medication once daily, changing instructions to once every other day. Result was that it was impossible to get refill on time, and despite my doctor's efforts, it proved impossible to work with pharmacy staff to correct original mistake. In person, some CVS pharmacists are friendly and helpful, others lack social skills. Overall, avoid if possible. read more

I have to say that this is my favorite CVS to go to. Somehow they have been able to carve out a large retail location in Coolidge Corner, and they have a great selection of stuff, from beauty products (deodorant, hair care) to toys, stationary and even food. They are also open late, although the Walgreen nearby is also open till midnight. Ont thing I really like is that they sell a decent selection of packaged food, so you if you are wondering around the area and all the restaurants are closed, you can find some grub. The rudest staff I have ever encountered. The pharmacy associates at this location made a life or death mistake on the computer and now I can't get my meds until tomorrow. They made as mistake and didn't try and reconcile or help. They accused us of trying to break the law by getting free meds when they are the ones who promised me my prescription that I've had filled before. Is this real life? I've never been to a CVS quite like this - it might be the king of all CVSes, putting all others to shame. Ready to eat food. And beverages. And juices (Naked Juice!). And frozen meals. (Really? In a CVS?) And socks and tights and aisles and aisles of things and more things and clearance items I don't need but I buy them anyway because they're on sale! And then I self-check out so the cashiers can't judge me. Open late! Pharmacy open late! I get that Beacon St is, you know, on the T and stuff. But just around the river bend, waiting just around the river benddd (or street corner) is this glorious establishment. read more

I lovingly refer to this CVS, where I purchase all my household needs, as the mama CVS of the baby one on the corner. Why two of these stores exist so close together is beyond me. Perhaps lazy people can't be bothered to walk the extra couple hundred feet to the mama CVS (or the Walgreens across the street) when all they want is a pack of gum (which is basically all the baby has to offer). I would rate this particular branch more highly if it didn't smell like cat litter all the time. It has everything I need (albeit for obscenely high prices--where's a Walmart or Target in walking distance when you need one?!), but it would be nice if I didn't have to walk around the whole time pinching my nose shut and breathing through my mouth. read more

Someone please explain to me why there are two cvs' within a block of each other??? Seriously such a waste of space The general customer service is fine if not a little awkward. Regardless they're always as helpful as they can be. The photo department is just AWFUL however. I used to get all my photos printed here but the last few times I've had to wait over a half an hour because the photo person had stepped out to go buy a drink or take a smoke outside. Ridiculous .... And when they got back they were completely unapologetic and rude. Refused to answer a lot of my questions and just generally completely unhelpful. I go elsewhere to print my photos now even though it's a little more expensive. On the other hand, the pharmacy is great. Always super helpful, returns my calls promptly and the text messaging service works great. Another thing : I don't really understand why they got rid of the self checkout area. It's a cvs -- obviously people are going to be checking out embarrassing things???? I've seen multiple instances of people trying to pay for tampons / condoms / plan b / etc. and the cashier being horribly awkward throughout the whole thing. I am not ashamed to say that couponing is like a drug addiction to me. CVS (extra care rewards) is the only system that I invest in and it has saved me lots of $ and I've vowed never to pay full price on necessities like toothpaste and shampoo. All that to say, this is my favorite CVS store. It's big, selection and stock is always good, and there are plenty of self-checkout stations that are well manned by friendly employees. During every visit, they literally have to come by multiple times and override my transactions and coupons but they don't give me a hard time about it which I appreciate. So much better than the corner CVS down the street - I've made the mistake of going to that one but ending up going to this one instead because of selection. Sales start on Sunday, print coupons from the coupon machine, and save those Extra Care Bucks for later! Note: Sometimes the coupon machine is down which is really annoying and the employees were unable to remedy. read more

This CVS is rather big, located in Coolidge corner. I like it here. Stuff are usually easy to find and the staff are eager to help. This was the place where I first saw the self-help check out. I had very mixed feelings about it. It's great that it's self check out and the lines are usually shorter and can go fairly quickly, and on the other hand, it also means they hire less people so people don't have jobs anymore if it's manned by machines. Like any CVS, they're similar in design and offers you similar things and can find things fairly quickly because they're designed that line. read more

This CVS is very big and just around the corner from the "mini-CVS" that stand at Coolidge Corner. For some reason you've got 2 CVS' AND a Walgreens all within 10 steps of each other here, but everyone makes plenty of money--someway some how. I usually will stop by the mini-CVS first since it's right off the T-stop, but if you're ever missing anything, this CVS has you covered! Remember to bring your CVS card so that you can scope out the deals of the day, I've gotten free candy bars and 50% random household items just by scanning my card out of habit whenever I step in. Of course, we must all realize that these places are not the cheapest, but with that in mind...this place is fast and convenient! The people are nice for the most part and there's a wide selection of all the nick-knacks and holiday decor/candy/gifts for that occasion you forgot was coming up. Due to a mini version of itself and other stores so close by, there's hardly ever a line which is another plus. Come join all the fun! read more

Literally only writing this review because of a bad experience with a pharmacist - I understand CVS is just another drugstore and I don't expect much in terms of customer service, etc. I went to go pick up my prescription and was helped by LATOYA who was the worst pharmacist, ever. She was extremely rude and had me sign the agreement that states you were asked if you have any questions regarding your medication, without actually ever asking about my medication. Then I asked to put in my CVS card phone number, and the screen asked me to sign more things then the receipt came out. I told her it never prompted me to put my phone number in, to which she responded that I messed something up. WTF? read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I spoke to a pharmacist to request a refill for my child's medication and was told the refill was all set. Two days later, it turns out that the pharmacist never requested the refill, there is no medication available, and it can't be in stock for 3 days. This is the latest in a series of problems I have had with this pharmacy, including waiting 45 minutes for someone to answer the phone, being billed incorrectly for medication, being given incorrect information about what is covered by insurance, and medication not being ready at the stated time. I was recently told by the pharmacy staff, "If you don't like it (the fact that they didn't order my child's medication), go someplace else." I will! read more

This used to be a great location, but it has gone severely downhill. The staff at the front of the store are frequently rude. I've actually witnessed one of the male workers moving in an inappropriate way while saying things that are derogatory towards women recently. The pharmacy is hit or miss, but lately it has been much more of a miss. They have double charged me for a prescription,and they frequently mess up prescriptions when getting them reauthorized from my MD. It has gotten to the point that I call my MD and get them reauthorized myself. The worst thing, though, was one day a man intently watched me refill a prescription, and before I was even out of the store, he was aggressively trying to make me sell him my prescription, though he didn't even know what it was. When I called the pharmacy a few minutes later to inform them of what had just happened in their store (after getting out of the store and away from the man) they told me they knew he was doing it, and they had kicked him out of the store many times. I think that maybe something more drastic, like calling the police, might have been appropriate. I am extremely cautious when at this pharmacy now. Do NOT go here for your flu shot. I made an online appointment, which they seem to have no record of when I arrived (right on time). They had to redo the process of getting my insurance information, even though I had entered it all on the online form. Finally, 35 minutes late, I got my flu shot. read more

I like this CVS location. I get all my contact lens solution, soap, and drugs here. When you're in a bind they also sell convenient products like batteries. While this location is currently under construction, which now is a little inconvenient, I still don't understand why Coolidge Corner needs two of them. FYI this CVS does not have self check so expect to be waiting in line at least ten minutes every time you come in.

The workers here are terrible! Just got laughed and looked at like I have two heads because their passport pic taking doesn't start until 9am although their website reads 7am. Then had to wait 15 minutes because the CVS employee was late. Upon arriving all they did was socialize and goof around with other employees. Saw so many employees just standing around laughing, on their phones and texting. You have got to be kidding me! Seriously, for coolidge corner, I am deeply disappointed! Downgrading my review to two stars. The length of the wait at the checkout lines has gotten out of control, especially since there used to be several self-checkouts that resulted in no wait at all. Also, the employees, though friendly, are not helpful because they are completely unfamiliar with standard products that this and just about every other store sells. For example, I recently asked where I'd find Saltines and the employee had no clue what I was talking about (I eventually found them on my own). The same thing has happened a couple other times with equally common products. read more

It's a CVS, what can I say? I can walk in here to buy some nylons and somehow leave $50 poorer. In terms of the stock, I think this is a pretty decent one. They always seem to have what I am looking for. The pharmacy staff is really nice and helpful. The front of the store staff usually have an attitude. They seem really annoyed to be there, and when the self checkouts (inevitably) break down, they are really irritated to help you. However, I can almost always get what I need and the extra bucks rewards is great. Always love the quarterly money back. read more

I just moved to Brookline and was happy to find not one, but TWO CVS stores within a minute's walk! This one, on Harvard Street, is the larger of the two stores and I find just about whatever I need right here, even good quality chocolate and a few grocery items ( great when Trader Joe's is closed!). Had a horrible experience today. I tried asking Wendy one of the associates at cvs for help, When I approached her, I said "hi" and was completely ignored. Not knowing she heard me the first time, I said hi again, she finally responds and rudely says, "you can ask your question" shockingly Wendy continued to ignore me. Only 2 stars for convenience. The pharmacy basically sucks. Staff turnover seems to be about 100% every few months. Most of the pharmacists look like they are right out of pharmacy school and act in accordance -- clueless, disorganized, and slow. The more senior ones look and act miserable. Perpetually understaffed. I recently had to return 3 times because: first time they said they didn't receive the prescription; second time they had received it but just didn't bother to fill it. They were also out of one of the drugs, so they could only partially fill it. Tried the CVS in Cleveland Circle, but they are even worse. Sigh. read more

CVS Corporate should look into this location. The staff is rude, argumentative, and dishonest. Many times the yellow sticker sales price is NOT what you are charged at the register. Today I had to go back to retrieve $3 because they over charged me - not the first time. While I was there, the woman who seemed to be the manager, was yelling at a customer who wanted the sales price. This is evidence that overcharging is a common practice. read more

This CVS pharmacy has the worst customer service. I want to give them a 0 star or below if possible. The manager and few other staff were very rude towards customers and showed no responsibility or patience. I would have fired them if it is up to me. My doctor called this morning to change the dosage on my prescription but no one at this CVS updated their system, therefore I ended up getting the old prescription with a wrong dosage instruction on the bottle. When I found out and tried to talk to them, the manager yelled at me on the phone and asked me to show proof that my doctor did call. They massed up the system and blamed on my doctor. How rude is that?! And the manager also hanged up on me before I finished my sentence. I will never go there again. read more
