Today, I came from urgent care, and the PA there had sent a prescription over for an eye infection. When I get to V Care, that same pharmacist said it wasn't sent over yet. I wait longer, then ask again. She still said it was never sent over. I then call the urgent care facility, wait on hold for 10 minutes, then am told the ointment was sent over 30 minutes earlier. I then go back to the counter, tell the pharmacist it had been sent, and she magically finds it in the computer. In person isn't better. Scanning a QR code? Too much effort if it requires stepping out from the window because it's cold. I'm sorry -- I'm the sick one. This is a pharmacy. Not a weather-dependent pop-up kiosk. Updating insurance information somehow becomes a group project no one wants to do. Mina was involved here, and the same pattern followed -- confusion, resistance, and an attitude that basic pharmacy tasks are an inconvenience. I went through the drive through yesterday to drop off the paper RX the exact same Rx in the exact same format as I filled the last time The tech at the window brought it to the pharmacist ( a different person this time ) The pharmacy tech consulted the pharmacist and informed me it wasn't on the right paper .. I was informed I would have to come inside and speak to the pharmacist who flat out told me the RX was invalid I explained I filled the exact same Rx a couple of weeks ago I asked If she would check the system SHE WOULD NOT .. There was no offer of help no suggestion .. NOTHING not even an Im sorry .. Just a clear insinuation that I was somehow about to misuse my pet's prescription because anyone could just copy this and try to fill it !! I was embarrassed in front of a line full of customers!! Pharmacists take too much liberty to make and change rules .. If one pharmacist filled it the other should have .. Or maybe the one who filled it was in error Either way the rules should be across the board . If the pharmacist that filled the first Rx was wrong then fine explain that to me . For years I've struggled to find ANY pharmacy - not just CVS - who can help me get medicine that's safe for me to take. I often had to fill prescriptions I was allergic to and had to take medicine that made me sick just so my other conditions were manageable. This is the ONLY pharmacy that helped me navigate things. For years, every month when I filled my prescription I'd have to set aside several hours to call different pharmacies and check to see what brands they had in stock. Often the only pharmacy that had a brand safe for me to take was over an hour away, so filling my prescriptions every month was an ordeal. Of all the pharmacies I called, this is the only one that tried to help. I explained the situation, that CVS had an allergy alert in my chart but I still mostly got medications I was allergic to. The pharmacist helped me figure out a solution. This is the ONLY pharmacy that has made sure I get a brand that is safe for me to take. I generally hate CVS. The employees everywhere else are indifferent at best. Not here. They are lovely to deal with and so kind. I live much, much closer to other CVS pharmacies but I always go to this one because it's the only one I feel safe going to. I'm so grateful I don't have to take medications that make me sick. I wish I could give all the staff here raises and gold medals.
