The vet called in a prescription and I wanted to know when to pick it up. Here's how the phone call went: Hi. Our vet called in a prescription. When will it be ready? When would you like to come in? As soon as possible. What time is that. It is 9:50 right now. I can be there at 10:10. That barely gives me enough time to get it ready for you. OK, how about 10:20 then? Depending on what time you will come, I will rush or not rush. What time are you coming? Fine, I will be there at 10:15. I was trying to reasonably flexible and help the guy out, but clearly, he was too stressed or grumpy to be pleasant. So I don't think I will be coming back here for any prescription refills ever again. My boss and I came here to pick up a prescription for one of our clients and we did't really appreciate how the girl at the pharmacy counter spoke to us. We were to told to wait while the pharmacist finish putting together the medication. When the girl called our name to pay for the medication, the first thing she decides to ask is, "Are you paying out of pocket?" My boss said "Excuse me?" She then went on and asked the same question again along with "Do you have insurance because this medication is very expensive; did anyone tell you the price? ." How we decided to pay for this medication for OUR client does not concern her! I thought it was very rude to ask due to the fact it is none of her business. Convenient location to run in and out...that is unless you get the older lady with white hair ringing you up. Yelper Trudy complimented this cashier but she is my complaint. If you are in a hurry, pray that she isn't ringing up your order....she is slow, talkative, and talkative. If you don't have a CVS card, she will give you a lecture about why you need one. Thankfully, I have one but I've seen her lecture others. I've also seen her not be patient or understanding to those who are not native speakers of English. She has the mentality "If the customer doesn't understand what you're saying in English, speak LOUDER....then they will understand!" She has no problem belittling customers if they don't understand her. That's not right. There have been a few times that I have walked in and out of that store not buying anything because the older lady with the white hair was the only cashier working...yes, it's that bad! It's a CVS Pharmacy now. Long's was tolerable. This is horrific. I got recommended an over the counter medicine from my doctor, with the warning that store usually don't stock it, but can special order. I called Walgreen's first, who picked up right away, but it ended up that they couldn't order it. So, I was forced to try here. After being on hold for 15 minutes, the pharmacist said she couldn't look it up now, and would call me after the pharmacy closed. Weird, but I rolled with it. Whereas Walgreen's said it could come in 6oz for $20, CVS said the smallest they could order was 15oz. It would be $30. I guess it's not fair to compare, since CVS could actually order, but this price difference ended up being irrelevant, as you'll see later... They told me it would be there in the morning. By morning, they actually meant "11," so I show up after work, and I'm told they don't have it. As condescendingly as possible, the pharmacist explains that if they had the medicine, it would be on the shelf. She told me that "no," they "can't check to see if it was even ordered or when it should arrive." With some more goading on my part and describing what it was, it miraculously appeared. "There wasn't a note" was the pharmacist's excuse. She goes to ring me up. "$50" she says. "What?" I ask, wondering if I misunderstood her thick accent. It really was $50. I told her that I was quoted $30 (and though the previous call quality was low, I think it was this same person who gave me that original price). She voided the transaction. I walked out. Never going back again. I wish I could give zero stars. I guess one has to be for being able to order the thing. I want Long's back. read more

Convenient, well-stocked, and clean, this CVS should do the trick. Sometimes they have some pretty good sales on chocolate and wine. The cashier I had was very friendly, I had a leftover container from Crepevine and the cashier asked were I ate. I said Crepevine around the corner, have you ever been? I came in here on Friday night having just one HELL of a day and to top it all off with a cherry on top, my phone died JUST as I was trying to see the last piece of directions on my GPS and JUST as my friend texted me likely telling me where to meet them. I was already running just a tad late but now, I had no idea where to go, so I pull into the parking garage next to the CVS and barge in there desperate and almost in tears! I had the pleasure of dealing with Jeff (the assistant manager) who was soo kind and was willing to do anything and everything to make sure I was okay and got what I needed, which at that time, was to charge my damn phone and find out where to go. Initially, he was going to pull a product off the shelf for my use but I had my wall charger so I asked to just use an outlet, which happened to be behind the counter. Jeff was soo incredibly nice, he let me sit back there and charge my phone! I also dealt with Alfredo who was very attentive to my needs. I honestly won't forget their generosity that night! I have been coming to this pharmacy since 2012. At one point, I was coming into the pharmacy at last 2-3 times a month. The service here has been absolutely STELLAR. Never had any issues and the on-duty pharmacists are very responsive and professional. The customer service techs are courteous and provide excellent customer service. To sum it up, I have a choice of picking up my prescriptions at several CVS locations, but I chose this location over others nearer to me. 6 years of great customer service! Great job! read more

It seems like this place is always empty of staff. They do not have enough cashiers for the number of shoppers. I've found the selection a little bare...there won't be enough of an item or if on special, they've almost always sold out. Seems like they're afraid to overstock. Do not ever order photos to be picked up at this location. The same thing has happened to me twice now (1st time I gave benefit of the doubt and when I needed a photo again a few months later I used this store because it's closest and figured they had fixed the issue). Last week, I ordered a Same Day pickup for a single photo. Went in to pick it up the next day and they tell not only me but also the lady behind me in line that their photo printer is down. She's smart and asks "Can I cancel my order and get it somewhere else?" then leaves. I had also ordered a photo gift shipped to store so had to stick around to wait for them to find it. Note the photo gift had nothing to do with this location; it was created online, manufactured elsewhere and simply mailed here for customer pickup. It took two employees and a manager nearly half an hour to locate the package with my name on it. In the meantime, they were talking and it turns out their photo printer is not "down" but rather out of photo paper. The manager stated that he would order some more and I could pick up my photo early the following week. I waited until Thursday the next week just to make certain (as in, it has now been 9 days since my *Same Day pickup* order). Went to pick it up, told "photo printer hasn't been working for the last two weeks." First of all, that's outright dishonest. Secondly, they should not be accepting orders if they can't be bothered to fulfill them. The photo I needed happened to be for a government document and lucky for them I was completing it early rather than last-minute. If I had actually needed it the same day they wouldn't have gotten my nice side. Finally doing what I should have done in the first place and reordering from another store. I will not even go into the pharmacy issues I've had at this location. This was last straw and they will not see my business again. read more

This location has everything I need. It can be busy at times but it's a block from downtown MV. They need to fix the outside lights on the corner of California and Bryant. I came to this CVS for the first time about a week ago, and was pleasantly surprised at the organization and clean look of the store interior. I suppose it's because they recently switched over from Long's drugs, so the new feel was a result of the interior renovation. The size of the store is surprisingly large for this location, so they can stock a decent variety of everything. It's in a good location that can be easily accessed from downtown, and they even have a downtown parking garage attached to the store. All in all, good location and great place to pickup something you need fast if you happen to be in this area. read more

Really terrible service. The worst cvs i have ever been to. The pharmacy is super slow and staff are not knowledgable at all. They are constantly messing up my prescription refills and somehow can't figure out how to work the autorefill system. I was left on hold for 15 min when trying to call in a refill and then got hung up on before talking to anyone. The cashier 'forgot' to ring in my cvs card and then tried to make me go to the end of the line to do a return and re-ring everything to fix it so i could get the discount. The employees are so slow and never help the checkout line, making you stand there for 10-15 min at a time. read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for 8 months and today is the last. Without fail every time I pick up my monthly recurring prescription at this pharmacy they screw it up-seriously. Their customer service is nonexistent. Perhaps they wouldn't have this problem if they hired pharmacist from countries who understand the concept of service. Be aware when you get a prescription filled at this pharmacy. Today, my son went and got one filled and they had instructions to put in 2 drops in his eye that had recently got a corneal transplant. The doctor had told him to put in one, so he called the doctor's office and they confirmed that it was only one drop 3 times a day!!! How does one get this wrong? It was not that busy. They also got his address wrong too, which is not that big a deal. If an elderly person follows the wrong instructions without checking with the doctor it could be dangerous! So, if you use this pharmacy make sure you check that the instruction on the label matches what the doctor said or you may be sorry!!! read more

While noone willing to do my return as online return process is so complicated and I have to do a return for 72 single items. He actually have me scan all 72 items and return them all while there are difficulty in term of shipping with the Corporate CVS. read more

At any rate, I was looking for some decorative tissue for filling a gift bag, and Longs had it conveniently in a display with other gift wrapping options (and this already included XMas items? omg, how commercial can we get!). The store also had some Glaceau(tm) vitaminwaters that I favor when I need a pickup. However, they didn't exactly have what I was looking for in terms of Halloween accessories. {sigh} I guess you can't just get it all at one place. Pharmacy at this location is unprofessional, unorganized, and lacks customer service. Scheduled an appointment days in advance for a shot needed for my pregnancy. I showed up on time (9:00AM when it opens and no one was in line) and when I proceeded to check in, the pharmacist that day immediately said they didn't have any of the vaccine left and that there was an order submitted days ago (he also told me that the vaccine would come on the following Monday). If the pharmacy was already aware, they should have called (they didn't) or contacted me by email to inform me to reschedule or find a different location. Instead, I received 3 emails reminding me of my appointment. The pharmacist lacked customer service skills. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience (no apology was given at all), he said "a lot of people came in last weekend to get the shot". How does that help me? And instead of asking me if I wanted to reschedule (after I had asked him when they would get in the vaccine) to a different date/time, or asking me if I had time to go to the next closest location, or what was convenient for me...he made assumptions and just called a pharmacy and asked if they had the vaccine. They confirmed they had it and he responded that he was sending the patient over there now. Had he any consideration, he would have known it was not convenient for me to go to that location, I had to take time from work, and I have no vehicle (I walked). Again, no apology. I assume other patients who schedule online appointments do not receive callbacks to reschedule if they are out of a vaccine. Also, does not appear that the pharmacy is proactive in ensuring they have enough vaccines for scheduled appointments. Let alone organizing the pharmacy to begin with. Boxes were all over the floor, opened and unorganized, medicine bottles laying around all over the back counters...just seemed like the CVS pharmacy at this location does not have it together. read more

I love this CVS. I was purchasing some vitamins and didn't see a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" sign, but the cashier insisted that it existed even though the transaction already completed. He did some fancy stuff with his computer which allowed me to grab another bottle of vitamins. He could have let me walk away with just 1, but he made sure I received the special pricing. Otherwise, I routinely have to wait on hold on the phone for 5 minutes or more just to find out whether a prescription is ready, and the wait times in the store are usually even longer. Note, now Longs Drugs has their own card (like Safeway) so you will only get the sale prices if you have signed up for their card. You don't need to carry the card with you.
