Something is wrong with the pharmacy. Several times they have fouled up my prescriptions. Prescriptions are called in by a doctor and it appears that the pharmacy never receives them. This is in my experience an ongoing problem, and one that needs to be fixed. I called the other day to communicate the seriousness of the problem. . I first called my doctor to ensure that the prescriptions had been sent. They confirmed and told me something is wrong at the CVS Shoppes Lane in system that receives prescriptions. I called CVS and they thought it was amusing. They told me their fax machine was done and they did not know when it would be back in service. They are one step away from losing me as a customer. read more

Firstly, there are two CVS stores on Shoppes Lane, so it gets confusing. I have been to both today. I made an appointment for the Covid booster, received a phone call this morning verifying the appointment, and arrived on time. The pharmacist could not find me in the system and claimed I had not made an appointment. I thought I might have gone to the wrong store, so I tried the other one. The pharmacist there was so rude. She said I didn't have an appointment. Then she told me to make an appointment and come back. Uh, I made an appointment. There was no one else there, so I asked if she would give me the shot. "No." Me: "There is no one here, no line, so why can't you give me the shot?" "Make an appointment. I have a pharmacy to run." The manager was no help. Said it was out of her hands. Nice. today that's 24 July,2025, time by 2.00 pm, I visited cvs 11003 Lee hwy Fairfax va, to return my sun glasses,which I boought a day back, I had my payment receipt and sunglasses with bar code on sunglasses, an old lady, with a very long face,no smile cashier comes to attend me, I gave her my glasses and payment receipt asked her for refund, she looks me in a suspicious way and asks me for my state id,what I got shocked, id is this cvs or a banking institution, I have visited multiple times in stores including other branches of CVs for return refunds with proper payment receipts no cashier never,ever asked for my state id, this old ugly uneducated,unprofessional cashier, never knew that according to first amendment my constitutional right, I f I am not driving I am not supposed to show my state id to police,how come a cvs cashier employee ask for my id just for my refund, this store is worst, most of them can't speak or understand proper English, it looks like this CVs store is located somewhere in a third world country, not in Fairfax va, USA, I have checked lot of customers complaining about behaviour, of these stupid,uneducated cashiers in this store, I wonder how in a business CVs corporate office can tolerate these idiot cashiers who are ruining their business, never entering this location again read more

I typically don't like to go to this location because of the pharmacy but yesterday I stopped by to get a few items. The staff at the front of the store were great! They were actually happy to assist me then when I was done shopping they were able to check me out. As opposed to the other locations that I go to that make you go to the self checkout. And look at you like they can't help you so go to a different location. Thanks again for the great customer service! read more

Pay very close attention as this can save you MONEY... This CVS charges 50-70% more than other CVS stores within 1-2 mile range. For example, the large Neutrogena Shampoo is $12.49 at the CVS at at Pickwick Rd off Rt 29, CVS off US 50, CVS off Old Centreville Rd, etc but it is $13.49 at this CVS. The store is staffed with unknowledgeable workers who simply don't understand Customer Service. CVS is okay as a chain but this one has terrible customer service and is priced 50-70% higher than surrounding stores and online. If one must use CVS, don't choose this one. Walgreens is much better. read more

I'm providing two stars because the staff is courteous and professional with their attitudes. The problem is every single time I try to pick up prescriptions there is a problem. They either have not run it through insurance properly, not used manufacturer discount cards or have not followed up with doctors for pre-authorizations. They simply do not pay attention which has already resulted in two health scares due to auto Refills not being handled properly. read more

I decided to try this location again. I'm honestly not sure how CVS is still in business. I have a coupon yet the item I got was buy ONE get one 50% off. I only bought ONE. They couldn't let me use the coupon because it was a promo item. I tried to explain that I'm only buying one and they kept repeating "that's how the system is." How about the employees here actually think outside of the box and explain how this makes sense rather than reading from a screen. This review is solely for the pharmacy. I scheduled a COVID test at this location because it was the only CVS around me within 15 miles that had availability. Regarding the COVID test, you schedule it online for a time/date and then on that time/date you drive around through the left lane of the drive thru pharmacy. You are given a bag to swab your nose and a tube to insert the swab into and then the hazmat box near the drive up window. Results in 3-5 days. Easy peasy! The other experience is for a RX for my mother. She was prescribed a high cost cholesterol medication and Shawn, the pharmacy manager, took his time to check whether it would have been cheaper with Good Rx and then advised me to call my mom's doctor for the generic version of another cholesterol medication and even wrote down the name of it. A huge thank you for Shawn since the new meds with insurance is now $0 copay vs over $100 with the other meds. Great knowledgeable and helpful medical staff. read more

First shopping experience was a home-run, mainly because I easily popped in here to pick up a single item -- avoiding the Fair Lakes holiday traffic mess and skipping the search for a parking spot at either Target or Wal-mart. Sure, I maybe paid $1 more for the item, but I easily saved 20 minutes. And I avoided those tempting, extra purchases at Target. :) New in Fair Lakes, this CVS is on the opposite side of the main shopping plaza and shares a parking lot entrance with the Sunoco next store (two doors down from the McDonalds). Lots of parking and a well-lit lot. The store is easy to navigate with large signs hanging from the ceiling -- simple to see exactly where you need to go when you walk in the door. I wouldn't say the service was overly friendly, but it was a fast check-out and that's a little more important in this type of store. Big bonus -- a drive-thru pharmacy! No more dragging sick kiddos out of the car to pick up prescriptions. Hallelujah! read more

CVS Pharmacy - New in Fair Lakes. - Drugstores Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

It is not a bad location as it is away from the main crowds across the street with the big stores like BJ's and Wal Mart. The employees are always nice and try to be helpful. The store is clean. Usually there is only one person at the check out and lines can form. Often they have to call for someone to come open up another register and it can take time. Like many pharmacies they will not fill a prescription for a Schedule VI drug like Percocet or Vicodin, if you were standing there with compound fractures and bloody mouth from a truck running you over and had a legal, signed, limited amount prescription for a narcotic analgesic they will tell you they don't stock it and don't know anywhere in the Western Hemisphere that carries it. Some people in the Rust Belt and Appalachia overdose with their babies in the car, so if you are in moderate to severe pain you can't get your script filled here. With herniated disks, arthritis, and stenosis I can not get a prescription filled here or any CVS. I go for non pharmacy things. Searches of the internet consistently list CVS as one of the worst companies in the US to work for, a toxic atmosphere. So, I feel sort of sorry for the employees. read more

My wife and myself took the covid 19 test, it's being five days and we do not have results neither delay information, there is not information regarding our tests in the CVS "mychart" and nobody answers the phone. I dropped off my prescriptions earlier today and told the tech I wanted to run a few errands and come back. She told me they would be ready after 25 minutes. 45 minutes later, I returned and was told they were not ready because they were put in the system for tomorrow. I was told I would have to wait 25 more minutes. Very frustrated. Plus, the second lane of the drive thru as well as the basket for exchanging payment and medication have both been broken for many, many months. read more

I came in on a Sunday with $10 in Extra Care bucks that had expired on that Friday. They wouldn't let me use them and acted helpless/clueless when I asked about a corporate number to call. I get it... they don't reissue expired Extra Care bucks because there are a minority percentage of scammers out there who ruin it for everyone.....but you can at least pretend to be helpful. Of course when calling customer service (corporate) the rep seemed pleased to tell me "no" and that "he doesn't make the rules" and then hung up on me. The silly thing is that the rewards expired before the return window, so I simply returned everything I bought and will never shop at a CVS again. I used to be EXTREMELY faithful to them and their high prices, but obviously my business isn't worth $10 to them. read more

Ordered two prints and a photo cube. Arrived an hour and a half after the time promised. No record in the system. I had to pull up the order on my phone. Manager finally found it. It was obviously not done so he asked me to return later in the day. I was unable to do so. I needed the two prints today. He said he would print the two prints, no problem. Oh wait...printer isn't working. Ridiculous. This is not rocket science. Should have just printed them at home. Have always gone to Walgreens in the past for prints. CVS was more convenient. The rating is for service but there's no cero option for some employees proyection. I have no complaint with the good service and helpful staff but.... How is possible that in a pharmacy where people get medication for their health problems and where they sell personal hygene products (among other things of course) some of their staff have breath and/body odor? I understand some people might suffer some kind of health problems but today, THREE of them? Is the manager even aware?They should be located in an area where don't interact so close to clients and still had a job. The cashier area.... no way. Don't ask this Pharmacy for prescription delivery. I asked the delivery and confirm with my home address. However, it still sent to the wrong address. The worker is rude and hard to communicate，they would like to take responsibility and resend, but just ask me to pick up. During the COVID-19, I don't want to go to cvs store. After talk to customer service twice, about 2 hours, the only way I can do is to cancel. The customer service said "you need the medical and the only way is to pick up, you can't buy this prescription by insurance again". How can it be?? After arguing, it is canceled. read more

I don't really understand why every time I go here the pharmacy takes ages to even come to the pickup counter. There's never a line and every time I go there's 3-4 people working. Nobody acknowledges you standing there until you've been there for 5-10 minutes. I have stood there for 15 minutes before as they filled prescriptions and chatted with each other. read more

I was so happy to transfer my prescriptions to the new CVS, but, I kept having problems with the quantities of one medication. The prescription should have been for 60 tablets, 2 per day for 1 month. I called them at least 6 times when I only received 30 tablets. It said on the bottle: 1 tablet TWICE A DAY, well that equals 60 per month. I asked they call and straighten it out with the doctor, never happened. I got so frustrated after trying for 2 weeks, that I am taking my business to Wegmans . . . maybe they can count. read more

New store and Pharmacy - extreemly clean and well organized -not at all like other CVS's. The Pharmacy staff was incredibly helpful. They have a drive through also - which they manage well even though they are short staffed (because they are new and don't have the business to justify hiring more people) - so be patient they will get there. i do not recommend this CVS to anyone , pharmacy staff do not know what they're doing , i went three times to pick up my RX and it wasn't ready , second time they failed to transfer it from the other location three visits and was still not done , they told me i have to pay 200 for a hear burn medicine and its not covered i called my insurance and it was completely covered at a copay of 5 dollars when i took to walgreens , i continuously keep on getting text message for rx i never filled and when i call they have no idea of what im talking about , i will never go to any CVS as a matter of fact.especially this location!!!!! not to mention staff at pharmacy are so rude! read more

Forced to transfer all my prescriptions to CVS by my insurance. Would give 0 stars if possible. Its process is a nightmare! Transferred a prescription through CVS online, received confirmation on the CVS app, yet when I got there to pick it up (two days later), I was told they had no prescription in my name. I showed the pharmacist the confirmation and was told, "yeah, this happens a lot. Our system doesn't always send us the info." WHAT? Then get your system fixed if you're already aware of the problem! She then informed me that if I had my bottle with me, she'd go ahead and fill it. I'm sorry, but I don't walk around with all of my medication bottles when I've already received confirmation that you've gotten my refill or transfer request. This incompetence required a second trip to the CVS, which isn't anywhere on my daily route. read more
