Not only was I welcomed with a genuine hello by this employee but also asked if I needed help finding anything. While at the register he offered a CVS CarePass that would save me 20% off CVS health brand products. He was informative, professional, and respectful. Though this time around I did not take advantage of this offer, I do plan on returning to this Burbank CVS to purchase the CarePass from Joseph. Talk about a job well done!!! Absolutely the worst customer service at this pharmacy! Every time I have to get a prescription filled for my father it is an ordeal. Prescriptions are not ready when I come in, the clerks have terrible attitudes and are quick to say "no" before they even check. I have to call in several times for various reasons and I am ALWAYS on hold for over 20 minutes! Today, I waited on hold to speak to a pharmacist for 23 minutes and then was disconnected! So here I am, on hold again for 15 minutes so far. I can understand if they are busy, but this is just the norm for them. It's horrible!! read more

Horrible pharmacy service. Tonight at 8:05 I tried to drop off my prescription with a big woman with long dark hair. She said, "We're closed. There's a store open 24 hours in Hollywood." She was still standing there working on the computer 10 feet from me. It was only a few minutes after. instead of just taking tje piece of paper so someone could handle it in the morning, she told me to drive an hour each way. Worst service, ever. There is always a song and dance with those people. Don't expect any of the women there to go out of their way. read more

I love CDS I love the coupons I always go to CVS however today at the pharmacy and CVS on victory Boulevard in North Hollywood high and the other people in line at the pharmacy were a palled to hear the pharmacist Brook I believe is his name Who worked at 11:30 on August 21, practically yell and rudely reprimand the little girl who worked in the pharmacy with him. If he has a problem with her work he should speak to her and train her it is his responsibility to train her not to yell at her! Most probably this man grew up watching his father yell at his mother and she took it because she had no choice. Tell him to wake up educated men do not treat women like that in America in this era! This has to be the worst CVS I have ever encountered. My new prescription was out of stock for a couple more days at my original CVS location and they called me and helped me find another CVS that had it in stock today, I was told this location had it. I called ahead to make sure, and the woman who answered the phone at the pharmacy informed me they did not have it in stock, mind you I only gave my name. So I asked her if she could at least search under my Rx number, DOB or phone number she didn't even bother. It's obviously an important prescription, otherwise I wouldn't be looking. She finally pulled my info up and said nope sorry. And that was it. I asked if she could help me find another location in stock, since my original CVS was able to see their inventory , she didn't offer to help see when another shipment would be there, nothing. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt : maybe she isn't tech savvy to search. Yet I just called another CVS location and they had it! They even mentioned that this location has plenty in stock, and didn't understand why they would say they didn't. This lady has no empathy for people, or customer service etiquette. I wonder if she even has a credential to work in a pharmacy. This medication (not trying to air out my business like that) is so important for my health , and I need to start taking it asap. And I told her that. She still denied her pharmacy was in stock. She was rude. Don't bring your prescription here. It's the worse service. Pharmacists are rude. Refill is untimely, no follow-up, missing diagnosis, You will wait for weeks for nothing if you don't call and follow-up your prescription to your doctor you don't get your medicine. They want you to do their job. I'm now happy with different pharmacy. Our medicines and refill are being taken care in timely manner. They dealt with our doctor and all required info so we can all the medicine the same day. read more

Let me go on record that I truly despise this store. The lines are always long and employees are few and far between. But today... there was one employee that changed that all around! I walked in the store and went straight to the cashier to ask if they carried essential oils. A young male employee by the name Juan sent me to aisle 10. Now knowing there are several types of essential oils, that vary in cost, I was leery being sent to the cosmetic area. Sure enough, there were the oils, at a pricey $10.79 for your face. Deciding I know I could find non cosmetic oils somewhere else I began to walk out of the store, when Juan came over to me (with no prompting) and said, you know I believe they have other oils near first aid and one more aisle. I thanked him and continued my mission to the back of the store, where I would have originally expected to go, and yup...there they were. In both of the two other places he suggested..And at $2-$7 a bottle (depending on fragrance) instead of almost $11, this was exactly what I was looking for. I originally came in for 1 bottle and ended up leaving with 4! Way to go Juan! Increased sales, changed my star rating and review, and gave an old customer a new outlook on this CVS! What really concerns me is this "pharmacy" dispenses medication to the public. From a customer service, medical and pharmaceutical knowledge, and accuracy perspective This pharmacy is really scary. I find that picking up from the pharmacy always takes at least 20 minutes or more if you're going through the drive thru. I understand if they don't have a lot of people back there, but if they at least acknowledged the customer and let them know they will be with them shortly, it wouldn't be as aggravating. :( Even when I come inside to stand in line, as it tends to be quicker, it feels like they ignore everyone in line while they do their work in the back. Honestly just saying they will be with us shortly rather than being completely silent would make it much better. I never thought I would give a 5 star rating for a pharmacy but here I am. I was traveling in LA and needed to make a pharmacy stop to get some some OTC meds and some other items. This CVS has drive through which is kinda cool though I did not use it. On the inside, it is not terribly large but is well organized and well stocked. They had meds of course but a lot of food options, even clothes a good gift selection including some electronics as well. They were plenty of helpful staff as well. I think this is the closest I have come to a pleasant trip to the pharmacy. read more

DO NOT FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE. Awful customer service. They won't contact you if there's a problem with your prescription, so if you show up & you're out of medication, you're out of luck. I have a chronic seizure condition and suffered severe withdrawal issues because they were supposed to fill my prescription and hadn't told me that they needed my doctor to call them. No coherent explanations given by pharmacists - they will fill prescriptions for months and then suddenly tell you there's a conflict without explaining why. Zero empathy, the pharmacists here have no pride in their jobs whatsoever. read more

Not sure what all the horrible reviews are about, though some of them seem to be about the pharmacy which I don't use at this location. This is about the retail section. The employees are very polite, friendly and have been much help when I cannot locate an item or I have a question. It's your typical CVS, and they don't vary much as far as I know, but again the customer service from the retail employees makes it worth it. read more

Do not get your photos or film done here! They are so disorganized and incompetent. I've gone here three times and they can never find my photos, they once thought my photo was printed wrong so they cut it to the wrong size so I re-ordered it and went back and they couldn't find the photo so I just requested a refund. My film order is completely lost and after complaining the manager finally offered to try to help find it. read more

I only come to this pharmacy because Anthem Blue Cross made some kind of sweetheart deal with CVS. The people at this pharmacy are some of the rudest humans I have ever had the misfortune to encounter in a business environment. They are all lazy, entitled, rude and dismissive. How CVS corporate allows this substandard customer service to continue is beyond belief. Every single transaction I have had at this location has been miserable. This locations is nasty looks like they've never washed the side walk to the store it's disgusting but that's besides the point. I needed some Tylenol and I was grabbing food from blazin across the street so convenience made me stop here and boy do I regret it! I went straight to the pain aisle because I wanted to be in and out I had food to pick up. I decided what I wanted and proceeded to push the button for assistance keep in mind there are maybe 3 people in the store shopping. I wait nothing I push the button again and wait nothing. I push the button a 3 and fourth and wait finally someone. I tell the young man this one and he hands it to me I say thank you no answer or acknowledgment whatsoever... I walk to the register and do self check out as they clearly lack customer service. I pay and the extra care bucks I was supposed to get doesn't print out I go over to the same young man that gave me the merchandise. And he said we're you supposed to get extra bucks? I said well there was a tag and he says we'll see as we walks back to check if I'm lying when we get there he says no you need to have the app. I said it says app or coupon station he says then you were supposed to print it out at the coupon station before I said so the coupon should still print out now at the coupon station for a future purchase and he nodded and walked away I went to see and what do you know no coupon. So I ask the cashier ALLEN if he could call the young man because no coupon printed. I didn't get the young mans name who was a MANAGER btw because he was so professional he has no name badge. Allen rolls his eyes and makes silent eye contact with someone behind me it's the young man he walks me over like a child to the coupon station because clearly I'm incompetent and he proceeds to put my number in for me because I haven't already tried. And he asks me again and again and again no coupon. He then says "someone must have used your card then" and walks away at this point I'm positive my food is cold and I've wasted so much time I'm frustrated because clearly this kid doesn't know how to do his job but not only does he not know what he is doing but he is a total rude unprofessional demeaning jerk! Like I said I didn't get his name because no name badge. I got his friend the cashiers name who didn't know what was going on but decided he also needed to be a jerk and roll his eyes at me thanks for nothing as well ALLEN. If you have to go to a CVS, choose any but this one. They are regularly out of medications and when you ask for help in solving the problem they pretty much tell you to figure it out yourself. No, "I'm sorry" or even "let me see how I can help." It's your responsibility to figure out how to navigate the pharmacy rules and norms even though they keep those practices, policies, and information completely hidden. They literally could not give less (ahem) cares. Earlier this year when I had surgery, they refused to fill my rx because they said it interacted with another medication that dr prescribed. My surgeon had gone over the directions with me in detail and was fully aware of potential interactions and how to mitigate them. When I asked them to call my surgeon to discuss, they refused and said I'd need to call my surgeon and ask them to call the pharmacy. So, that fell to me to do, just hours out of anesthesia and in excruciating pain, I played middle man because they refused to make a simple confirmation call to the prescriber. Even my surgeon's office was horrified by their lack of empathy and professionalism. Not sure what type of complaint procedures CVS corporate has, but I'll be finding out today. read more

I know this is a thing for CVS stores in general, but I feel like an idiot. I was sent a 30% off coupon in the mail, and saw they were charging wayyyy too much for Coke Zero 12-packs ($4.50 each!) but I figured with the discount it would at least be regular price. Clearly I didn't read the fine print that "sale items are not subject to the discount." So, I used my coupon which only got me 41 cents off the entire visit, and I paid $9 + tax and CRV for 24 cans of soda. I know this is CVS policy throughout, though I would have hoped the employee would have told me. He was very nice, though, this store is seriously understaffed and smaller than most CVS locations; it's also got the worst selection of the many in this area (and Verdugo Ave.'s location by McDonald's isn't that great either, but at least it's better than this one). I guess I learned my lesson though, and I warn everyone to read the fine print. read more

Today this store was on point. We were looking for some baby medicine and had trouble finding it. We had a store attendant come to us and guide us to what we needed. If you have a prescription in hand that your Dr just handed you, that you can fill everywhere else, but they make you wait 2 hours and then tell you they refuse to fill it and refuse to call and speak to the Dr you just saw to review it. Seriously disappointed in the manager of CVS. An elderly customer was having car problems, after shopping, and had left her cell phone at home. She asked the employee if she could use the stores phone to call AAA. The employee said he had to ask the manager, the manager came to the counter and simply said "No!". This place is horrible but the pharmacy is like a nightmare. You think such bad treatment has to be unreal but NO! As a customer I do my part by calling to notify a late pickup. Talk to a women who says she will hold till end of week. When I come in, end of week, Im told it was put back. I told this women I called to have it held. So I get scolded and told she will do it for me ( like shes doing me a favor) but a 10 min wait. Funny thing...SHE was the person who told me she would extend it!!! Awful pharmacy. Even if you phone in a prescription, they never have it ready by the specified pick up time. In fact, I'm pretty sure they don't look at the prescriptions that have been called ahead until you arrive to pick it up, because I had to wait over half an hour for them to fill when I got there well within the pick-up time! I also pulled through the drive-through once and waited for five minutes for someone to come help me, only to have them shut the shutter on me after looking directly at me without saying a word. And yes, I know all of this is incredibly first-world problem-y, but I'm just saying... if you can avoid coming here, do it! read more

Been here twice so far and both times have had to wait 40+ minutes for the prescription to be filled, AFTER dropping the printed prescription off an hour before and there's no one else they were helping. I'm not sure if it's because I'm new in their system and there's confusion caused by similar names/birthdays or if it's just because they're short staffed (3 people total working in the pharmacy area). But to have to wait this long when you're sick, it's miserable!!! The store itself I OK, they always seem to have the products I need. The photo center is constantly broken or they always seem to have some issue where they can't print my photos. The pharmacy is abysmal. The only reason I have a prescription there is because Target does not carry it from their supplier. It seems like no one actually likes working there and they constantly screw things up. One staff member actually had to call over to another pharmacy to ask them how to bill my insurance. I am actually shocked that this CVS has such a poor star quality. I average shopping here about once a week. There's always a sale on Friskies & Fancy Feast, which draws me in, as well as their drug-store make-up deals. There's always lots of extra bucks sales, and I do use many of the coupons they print out for me from my receipt. I am a frequent user of their 6x4 photo prints, although i wish the quality of the paper was better. What makes this my favorite CVS, is that it always has what I need. Also, everyone that works here is very friendly and helpful. I see these people more often than i see some of my friends, since I shop here so frequently.
