The CVS rewards program is really great. Once signing up, just punch in your phone number. You will begin receiving coupons on items you regulatly shop for. You also begin earning reward points to use in-store, or online for anything purchased, even prescriptions. This is what makes shopping at CVS affordable. Everything is easy to access through the CVS App. I was shopping at the CVS in Austin yesterday (border of Dripping Springs on hwy 290) . I scheduled a flu shot appointment at this location and ended up waiting 45 minutes without any indication of when I would be seen. While the staff appeared busy, the point of setting an appointment is to have that time honored. I ultimately had to cancel because I needed to be elsewhere. Unfortunately, the level of customer service here is disappointing. I only use the pharmacy for prescriptions, but I do not look forward to coming since the pharmacy staff is not friendly. read more

I've lived all over the country and dealt with countless pharmacies. This one has the dubious honor of being the worst out of any pharmacy I've dealt with. Even doctor's offices in the area have warned me against using them. When my doctor called a script into them, they were not able to fill it for several days. I guess they must be chronically understaffed, because the word "slow" doesn't even cover how pathetic their service is. I just hung up the phone after being on hold for the pharmacy for over an hour. No one ever answered - I guess they've just decided to stop answering their phones now. If you need to get anything from them with less than a 72-hour lead time, the only way to do it is to drive in to the store and inform them that you are waiting until they fill your prescription before you leave. Expect to wait an hour for them to slap a sticker on a box and ring you up; longer if they have to put pills in a bottle. The only reason that I continue to use them is that I have to - my employer's insurance provider is CVS (which means I can't use any other pharmacy) and the nearest other CVS is 45 minutes away. read more

I have recently chosen to leave this pharmacy after 2 poor experiences with the same German (?) lady. Most recently she has refused to apply my insurance to a medication because apparently my provider does not have a contract with cvs and it would've taken her too much time to apply it for it to potentially not discount it. She then made a comment that it was only $19. She was extremely abrasive about answering any questions I had and I'm moving my meds to HEB. read more

If you're like me, i don't visit the pharmacy unless I'm sick. So when i recently came down with the flu and strep at Christmas time, and my doctors were still located in Houston, this Dripping Springs worked with my doctors office and my old CVS to get my prescriptions transferred seamlessly and within a couple hours. Fortunately, my medicines were in stock. The wait through the in person or drive thru can take 15-20 minutes which I'm not used to but with only one CVS and one Walgreens in town, keep expectations real. read more

Don't bother using the drive-through. Unless you want to sit and play on your phone for 15 minutes at minimum, get horrible service when you're at the window, horrible ie; they won't do anything other than take your money and give you your medicine. It's a waste of your time. Get your out of your car and go stand at the cut line at the counter. You get to the window, and then they leave the window to go help people in the store at the counter, no explanation, no apologies, no consideration, all the while, watching other workers with their nose down, minding their own business not utilizing any team concept whatsoever. I saw the pharmacist, asked to speak to the pharmacist and was told he's really busy right now. What? Excuse me, so I'm better off calling in and just waiting on the phone?! This is not the first time for this type of experience. This is the regular occurrence. Where is the manager? Don't bother asking for one. Nobody here could be bothered. read more

This review is specifically for the Pharmacy. We went to get a prescription that my husbands doctor prescribed to him earlier that morning. The text came through that said one medication was delayed and the others were ready to be picked up. When at the window the pharmacist YELLED, pointed her finger and HIT THE GLASS with her hand while telling us that this medication is the wrong thing that was prescribed and that it doesn't do what the doctor thinks it does. To the pharmacist that went above and beyond to prove herself an ass. You are there for one purpose and one purpose only. To fill the prescribed medication. End. You are NOT a doctor, you do NOT know my medical history and I don't give two shits about what your personal opinion is. Do your job, and let my doctor do his. SHAME on you for your atrocious behavior at your work place. You should be fired. read more

Horrible pharmacy service. Never polite. I am still waiting on an RX for them to be filled a month ago! Lancets for my Blood glucose monitor. No one called me I finally just parked and went inside and nobody could give me an answer but "we are still waiting on them". Really? Please let me know. Also.... I never leave bad reviews but I will never return after todays experience. My Dr. called in eye ointment for pink eye yesterday mid afternoon. I just drove through 24hrs later, with a severe eye infection, to be told "ma'am I don't even work at this location and it's not ready yet." Well someone could have called or texted bc this location is backed up too far to be able to treat people who NEED their meds. Ridiculous. Just lost all Of my business. read more

Today I went to pick up a prescription and the pharmacist was extremely unnecessarily rude to me when I asked her how much longer it was going to take very nicely. She said 10 minutes after they had already said that to me so I asked her if she was sure it would be 10 minutes and she was very very rude back and said "I'm the one that has to sign off on it and I'm also the one answering the phone so maybe 10 maybe 15." and I told her it was just a question. I was there for almost an hour. My god. I seriously never want to come back to this pharmacy again. read more

Dirty pharmacy, needs a cleaning. Boxes piled up too. The pharm tech needed a bath, stringy greasy hair. Pharmacist obviously over worked, no confidence for me. Gross and untrained. Okay, I've filled prescriptions here before, not the fastest place. When i had run out if thyroid for a few days i had my physician call in an "emergency" script to carry me over until my regular prescription was delivered by mail. This lady 1) told me they didn't have enough in stock to fill my prescription without knowing what my doctor had ordered. They did have more than enough in stock to carry me through. 2) i watched her start to fill my prescription and count the pills. As she's holding the medication bottle, she just rests the opening of the open bottle on her face by her mouth. Then returns my pills into the bottle. I didn't get a pic of that but her ungloved hand shows her thumb also over the opening as she puts the pills in and out of the bottle and keeps recounting them. I typically wouldn't post this but the location did not seem all that concerned by her behavior and simply told me in response that then i couldn't get my medicine filled . You decide, I'm pretty confident that there are protocols being broken. I don't want her germs. Thank you. read more

This pharmacy is utterly inept. They've messed up our prescriptions countless times, yet we continue coming back due to the convenient location. Never again. Today they charged me for 3 bottles of a prescription when I only ordered 1, and they refuse to give me a refund. I was surprised at the price but she said she double checked and it was accurate. Then I got home and opened the bag to find 3 little bottles instead of 1. Went back and spoke with the same woman that did the original transaction and she said the pharmacist refused to refund me $120 for their own mistake. I'm livid and want to warn others. The convenient location is NOT worth the time and money you will waste here, not to mention the risk of them getting your medication wrong, which they've also done to us in the past. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Rather than putting forth an effort to help a customer get life-saving medication (insulin!), the pharmacist put forth minimal effort all the while rolling her eyes. I truly wish licenses could be revoked for such disregard and little care. The pharmacist at this store is a terrible human being. Thankfully, another pharmacy in the area helped and all is well. I'm pleased with the service and attitude of the pharmacy staff. They always treat me as if I'm their first priority, and offer empathy as if they were trained to sense the need for it. It's easy to see they are overworked and understaffed sometimes, but I never mind giving them the benefit of the doubt, or waiting in line if there is one. If I could give no stars, I would! Avoid this CVS and drive to H-E-B. The self checkout was clearly marked "No Cash" so I went to the regular check out counter and waited and waited. I finally grabbed someone's attention and a girl walked up. She scanned my items, when I presented my cash she said (and I quote) "we ain't got no change." I told her I was at this register because it clearly said no cash on the self check out, if I wanted to use my card then I would have used the self check out instead of waiting. She called the manager who said "we don't have any cash, our manager just went to the bank". Not one "I apologize" or "sorry for the inconvenience" from either employee. Terrible. Called asking for a specific medication I needed filled today. They told me they had it in stock. I drove half an hour away to pick it up even though there is a CVS next to my house. When I got there they said they didn't have it in stock. The staff was rude and unapologetic and told me to come back tomorrow like it was no big deal. This is my first experience switching from HEB to CVS. I will not be using CVS pharmacy again. Going back to HEB. Very disappointed. read more

I only continue coming to this pharmacy for convenience sake. The pharmacist is rude and condescending. The staff act as though you are inconveniencing them. They do the bare minimum mediocre service...if you can even call it that. One woman can barely speak English. Another I totally heard her say "close the window. We don't have time for that." They notoriously open the window late but I promise will close it right on the dot for lunch and at closing. No exceptions. I have started to fill my prescriptions at the HEB on Slaughter. They are consistently kind, respectful, and professional. The CVS pharmacy on Dripping needs an intervention and training on customer service--after all, without us, you kinda don't have a job. And this includes you rude tech in training with dark hair and talon nails (also super unsanitary when handling my meds and interacting with sick folks). I would tell you to "get your act together," but y'all have been doing this for over 2 years with the continued excuses of being "understaffed." Maybe they should just shut you down completely. read more

So I have to give you a little inside scoop on my last 24 hours. I have been to three cvs pharmacy's in the 24 hours and have experienced horrible service at all three. First of all the dr called in my script to the wrong pharmacy not the pharmacy's fault. Second of all after waiting almost three hours last night only to find out the store I was waiting at didn't have it. So they called it into this location to pick up. Showed up this morning first girl was nice. My script still wasn't filled. They called the pharmacy. And said it would be 20-30 minutes not a big deal. A second girl came to the window and was extremely rude. This is the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. Customer service sucks here end of story it is never ok to be rude. read more

I've been coming here for years, and have had only good or neutral experiences; however, the past two weeks, my family has had two prescriptions screwed up at this location. The first mistake was CVS switched the # of milligrams with the number of pills (script was 30mg, 60 pills; CVS filled 60mg, 30 pills. Nope! The second mistake: Doctor wrote an identical script for each of two of our kids; CVS only filled one of them, not both. Both instances required CVS spending too much time calling doctors to validate prescriptions that should have been received and filled right the first time. I'm not sure if CVS Pharmacy at this location hired someone recently who doesn't know what they're doing, or if the Pharmacy management isn't doing adequate employee training or quality control, but two screw ups this close together is not a good sign. I'm frustrated and disappointed with the lack of quality and attention to detail at this CVS Pharmacy. One more strike, and I'm going to another provider. read more

If I wasn't including the pharmacy in this review, CVS would get 5 stars. The store employees are ALWAYS so friendly and helpful! The bad news bears = The Pharmacy. A year ago, I switched my prescriptions from Walgreens to this CVS because it was closer. Wish I had not done that. The Pharmacist or Pharmacy manager, whoever he is..is always in a really bad, stressed out mood. He yells at his staff and gets impatient with customers. I cringe everytime I have to go pick up a prescription and they're busy because I know he's going to be in a bad mood. His staff is friendly, not sure how they put up with working for him. Prescription not done even after having called ahead several hours! I was at Seton SW being sent home with RX for 1 blood pressure medication. It had initially been called into a different pharmacy but bc CVS is closer to our home I called CVS several hours ahead of time to have them transfer the rx. The technician assured me it would be done by 5:30-6pm. I sent my husband down at 7:30pm and they had not even gotten the transfer yet!! The whole trip should have taken 15 minutes, but instead took him 45mins. Meanwhile, I am home with my 4yr old and 2yr old and suppose to be on strict bed rest. Very unprofessional and will not use this pharmacy again! read more
