I had no engagement with staff while in the store so can't comment on that bit. I took a Waymo so can't comment on parking either but I was a little confused at first by the different set up here. They have 2 stories! So if you're looking for something and don't see it on the first floor, head up the stairs and it'll probably be there. They do have an elevator, as well, if needed. By the registers, they have 3 Self Checkouts for easy self-serve shopping. One staff was monitoring the operations but it was a seamless experience for me. You just gotta keep in mind you are downtown so you may encounter unhomed people and all that comes with that.

I especially appreciate everyone at the pharmacy and the pharmacist who do a great job. I get all my shots there. They are very welcoming. If you live downtown and can walk it's great. If you don't - beware, parking is pretty challenging.

I had a problematic insurance situation, and both the pharmacist and the technicians really went out of their way to get the mess figured out. This was a situation that stretched over several days, and required the pharmacy to make multiple phone calls to the insurance call center, then ultimately get creative with how they filled the prescription so that it fit within the insurance company's requirement (they didn't do anything wrong, there was just a glitch in the system that prevented the prescription from being filled even after it was approved, and they managed to outsmart the system). Best of all, I didn't have to go to the pharmacy and deal with all of this in person. They answered my phone calls, worked it themselves, then called me back with updates and the ultimate resolution. When I went back for a flu shot several weeks later, the pharmacist remembered me. Oh, and I love that they text you when your prescription is ready for pick up. Great. I noticed that another review commented that no one greeted them as they came and went. Perhaps after seeing that review, the store manager corrected the problem, because now the person working the register by the door ALWAYS says hello. The first few times it happened, I was caught off guard because it so wasn't expected. I wasn't sure he was even talking to me, so I ignored him, but then it happened again and again. So, good on CVS for responding to this feedback. Like others, I don't normally review chains, but I thought this was an example of excellent customer service that should be noted.

Ok now that is out of the way. Review time: I really love this location so much. The store is huge with wide aisles making it easy to navigate compared to the smaller stores. Even if it's crazy busy on a Sunday afternoon you can still get to the items you need with ease. The store is still very clean and of course modern since the rebuild. Employees are friendly. The shelves are stocked fully 99.999% of the time. I live extremely close to the East 7th Street store (5 min away) and opt for this location time and time again.

One additional major pet peeve I have is that they frequently want you to walk over to the area across from where they have their computers. You're no longer on the other side of a counter. You're standing in front of bay of saline solution and such. There's no privacy and it is such an awkward situation. I really like the convenience of the location. Once upon a time customers felt like they had a relationship with the techs and pharmacists there and it was a pleasant experience for both sides. It feels like those days are long over.

When I called back and interacted with a woman (maybe Alyssa or karissa can't remember exactly) she was extremely helpful and got my coupon applied. It was then fast and easy to pick up my RX later that day and be charged the price quoted to me over the phone once my coupon was applied. Because it was my first time at the pharmacy I did have to engage in a brief review of the medication with the pharmacist but that was quick and easy. I am hopeful this pharmacy will continue to be able to fill my RX with my coupon in the future. Again, quick and helpful technicians. Very happy with my experience.

For instance, the pharmacist forgot to include needles for my syringes even though I had paid out of pocket. Always double check your prescription at pick up to ensure that everything is included in the package. An example of great service is that twice out of the three times I have been to the pharmacy, my medication has been ice packed for me which has been a great note of attention to detail. A lot of the medication provided by the pharmacy is not covered by insurance so it can get a bit pricey. Be sure to double and triple check with your insurance beforehand.
