I got very sick and had to go to the Doctor after receiving a prescription from Austin Compounding pharmacy. I am having a forenic analysys check the perscription to see what else is in it. I brought it to thier attension and they ignored me, so be careful with this place read more

I transferred my prescription to this pharmacy one month ago. Within that 30 days, the pharmacist called me and accused me of abusing my prescription. He then refused to fill my prescription because I wanted to switch to another pharmacist, he then hung up on me. What kind of pharmacist or doctor treats her patients this way after 30 days. I've done some research and they have several other complaints regarding the same issues. There's plenty of other better compound pharmacies out there to use. Don't risk yourself with this one because the pharmacist is a hothead with issues. read more

I had a doctor send a prescription here and it hadn't been sent across yet but a guy named Joseph and another guy that were there kept checking on me and the status of the prescription while I was waiting. I'm glad I got to start the therapy today instead of waiting another day. Thanks again. read more

Love coming here for my supplements and prophylactic medication its compounded with genuine care. This pharmacy treats its customers with kindness and respect. I will continue coming here it's not your traditional chain pharmacy and that's what makes Austin compounding unique. read more

I recently visited and picked up my first compounded medication, ever, before the holidays. My experience with the pharmacy and its customer service was just fine. The lady helped me at the front was cordial and quick. I later met the pharmacist, who was very helpful and friendly. He was able to assist me with my dosage when I mentioned that the higher dose made me extremely tired. He said he could switch it out to a lower dose for me if I couldn't adjust after a few days, which was very kind of him. The only tiny complaint I had was that he might've forgotten about our conversation because my order wasn't ready for three days until I called to check in on it. We then had the exact same conversation again. Funny. However, it all worked out, hence the 4-stars. read more

They have been great for the last year and a half working with them and they have something very rare in this field and that's a heart for their patients and willing to go above and beyond when the time comes. read more

I didn't realize how much their Angus Road location spoiled me until they closed down and I had to switch to an unnamed chain pharmacy. I still order a compounded medication at their Bee Cave location and they deliver it to my N. Austin address for a small fee. I was in the need of arnica Montana in pellet form that was lactose free due to recently filler injections I had done. If you didn't know, arnica is excellent to combat bruising. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and asked the pharmacist for help to find lactose free arnica. We looked at all the different brands of arnica on the shelves and finally we found one that met my needs. I was extremely happy as the other arnica I had from two years severely upset my stomach due to the lactose. Boo!! Make sure to check in on yelp so you can use a 20% discount. read more

This pharmacy provides excellent service and provides quality customer service and care

Most friendly, warm and caring pharmacy and staff! A friend recommended this pharmacy to me after me feeling disillusioned by the big box commercial chain pharmacies. I spoke with Ben who was so professional, friendly, caring and presented me with options to meet my prescription needs. He was able to transfer my prescriptions from a previous pharmacy and have them ready for pickup within 24 hours and saved me over $175.00!!! Thank you for supporting and standing up for individuals' rights to choose medical treatment and freedom. I will definitely be back! read more

I love Austin Compounding Pharmacy! They are super efficient, friendly, and give personalized service. Highly recommend!

Filled our prescriptions quickly and mailed the prescriptions out promptly. Thank you! Thanks for the strength against all odds (and evil) to do the right thing. Our regret is we did not find your pharmacy earlier before our illness. God bless! read more

Do not use this pharmacy. They clearly cannot handle the stress of operating a pharmacy and further, are extremely unprofessional with their language and how they handle liaising with doctors. We use this pharmacy to fill our dog's congestive heart failure medicine. We called in a refill on a Friday and still had not heard back on the following Tuesday. At first they said they could not locate our account, then after we gave them the prescription number, insisted they had not gotten our vet's approval which was sent the best day after we called for the refill. When calmly asking for an explanation of what happened to the original vet approval, we were put on hold by the sales person who answered the phone and abruptly transferred over to the owner. The owner told us if we want our prescription today, he was going to charge us an arbitrary extra $100. Then accused us of arguing with the sales person even though we were simply asking for an explanation what happened to the original vet approval. At no point did we raise our voice or curse at anyone. The owner of this pharmacy told us they were "busy as shit" with COVID related work and then again said if we wanted it filled today (five days after we called it in) he would demand an extra $100 from us. We are currently looking for a new pharmacy to fill I'm the vital prescription for our dying dog as we are fully out of the prescription despite calling it in with enough time not to run out. read more

Since their north location closed, this is not only the Mothership, it's the only ship. But never fear, if your doctor prescribes compounded medications and you fill it here, they will deliver for a reasonable fee. They also fill other prescriptions. They have an impressive array of vitamins and supplements from quality manufacturers, and can help you find them so you don't have to hunt forever. They also stock various modalities of remedies for colds and flu and stress. Very nice and knowledgeable folks. If you check in on Yelp, they sometimes have a special running, so it's definitely worth checking in to see. They also offer other specials at various times during the year. read more

If you want professional service and a wonderful Atmosphere of knowledgeable, caring holistic Pharma pros--This IS THE ONLY PLACE TO GO IN AUSTIN. Tom Schnorr, an extraordinary man, makes you feel better with his bright smile, extraordinary credentials and experience--and most important: his empathy. Austin Compounding came through for us in a pinch and did it gladly. I have had nothing but great experiences with the helpful, knowledgeable, and cheerful staff. A good review has been too long in coming from me! Thanks, y'all. read more

I previously posted a very negative review for this pharmacy because my 1st and only experience with them was horrible. It was due to the supporting staff and had nothing to do with the pharmacist or the compound I received. Shortly after my post, I was notified by pharmacist Tom Schnorr who had read my review and was immensely apologetic for my experience. He informed me he recently had some staff changes and was actually away when my script was prepared. I have to admit I was very surprised by his call, because this kind of thing just doesn't happen in today's culture of lousy customer service. He also compensated me $55 off what I paid for my 30 day prescription which also included an erroneous shipping charge (I had it mailed). Now that is what excellent customer service looks like !! Thank you so much Mr. Schnorr for your call and the compensation. It's very much appreciated and you now will be refilling my next script. read more

After 4 years as your customer, I spoke to Jason who called to tell me they would no longer take my insurance " because they never paid us". I asked why nobody ever mentioned it before. I asked if he would fill it and give me time to find another compounded location or if he could forward it and was told "NO"...again he said "no & we're just glad to get rid all tricare patients".. Jason really did your company a disservice that day, poor customer service, argumentative, talked over me until I hung up. And I'm an RN and had always recommended you but no longer. read more

Tom Schnorr sets the bar for Pharmacists. If you take a lot of medications, supplements, or have uncommon prescriptions you need to drop your chain big box pharmacy and go see Tom. Call ahead and make an appointment to sit down with him and review everything you take. He has a lifetime of pharmacy experience, will watch for conflicting medicines, and can give you amazing insight into what might work better for YOU! I would give Tom 6 stars if I could, he's THAT good. read more

A great combination of skill and compassion! Every dealing I've had with ACP--and there have been quite a few--has been well above pleasant. Although I've never made it to their store (they have free delivery), I feel as if they are friends. Tom even dropped off one of my "I could really use it today" deliveries that afternoon on his way home. They're always willing to get refills directly from my docs so I don't have to. I kind of feel like they should be in Mayberry. read more

I have been having my prescriptions filled here for a couple of years. They are always efficient, polite, and personable.

I've known Tom Schnorr for over 15 years now. As the owner and pharmacist at Austin Compounding (as well as The Apothecary Shop), Tom has a wealth of knowledge, synthesizing Eastern and Western medicine with great facility. I've been well served over the years by his 'outside the box' thinking, often benefitting from an idea or product I'd never heard of until Tom brainstormed my situation. While they're known for their excellent compounding skills, remember they can can take care of your your regular 'big Pharma' scripts as well. Do yourself a favor and move your pharmaceutical care to Austin Compounding Pharmacy! You'll be glad you did. read more

This place is incompetent and dangerous. I have had two prescriptions compounded and delivered monthly for the last couple of years. I regularly received only one of my two prescriptions, and was told that they just "forgot" to put the second one in the bag so I started picking up my meds. I recently had an employee lie to me about why one of my prescriptions wasn't ready (she said the doctor hadn't approved it until after I had already picked up my first prescription, even though I had just left the pharmacy 20 minutes before) and another employee hang up on me when I called back the next day to see about getting it delivered. Tom's excuse is that they are busy, stressed, on no sleep, etc. Like they are the only ones. This morning he complained when I asked for a refund for a fee that I should not have been charged. After I told him I was taking my business elsewhere he actually called me back and cussed me out on my voicemail. Incredibly inappropriate behavior from the owner of a place that handles controlled substances. Their on-hold message says that ivermectin taken prophylactically on a weekly basis is effective against Covid and shills for their compounded Covid remedies. Inaccurate and potentially deadly advice. Employees do not wear masks either, which is incredibly irresponsible when they are serving potentially ill and immunocompromised pharmacy customers. read more

So friendly and reliable, I cannot say enough good things about this pharmacy and Tom. And, it's not just for compounded or specialty medications- they are a full retail pharmacy. You'd be crazy not to try them out. read more

Austin Compounding is a small, locally owned pharmacy that is a sister store of Apothecary Shop. I was using both until recently. The store experienced flooding in May, and when they renovated, the owner of the building and the business, Tom Schnorr, removed the one and only disabled parking spot claiming that an inspector told him that he was grandfathered from needing a disabled spot because the building was built before 1970. This is false information. Schnorr then told me that he was "glad" that he didn't have to have a disabled parking spot (because parking is in such short supply in their lot). When I asked him to replace the disabled spot, he initially refused. I've also had issues with this location where the pharmacist who was opening that day didn't show up until 9:40 a.m. when the store opened at 9 a.m. (See my review on Apothecary Shop for more about this business/owner.) read more
