I transferred my prescription to this pharmacy one month ago. Within that 30 days, the pharmacist called me and accused me of abusing my prescription. He then refused to fill my prescription because I wanted to switch to another pharmacist, he then hung up on me. What kind of pharmacist or doctor treats her patients this way after 30 days. I've done some research and they have several other complaints regarding the same issues. There's plenty of other better compound pharmacies out there to use. Don't risk yourself with this one because the pharmacist is a hothead with issues. read more

I recently visited and picked up my first compounded medication, ever, before the holidays. My experience with the pharmacy and its customer service was just fine. The lady helped me at the front was cordial and quick. I later met the pharmacist, who was very helpful and friendly. He was able to assist me with my dosage when I mentioned that the higher dose made me extremely tired. He said he could switch it out to a lower dose for me if I couldn't adjust after a few days, which was very kind of him. The only tiny complaint I had was that he might've forgotten about our conversation because my order wasn't ready for three days until I called to check in on it. We then had the exact same conversation again. Funny. However, it all worked out, hence the 4-stars. read more

I was in the need of arnica Montana in pellet form that was lactose free due to recently filler injections I had done. If you didn't know, arnica is excellent to combat bruising. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and asked the pharmacist for help to find lactose free arnica. We looked at all the different brands of arnica on the shelves and finally we found one that met my needs. Do not use this pharmacy. They clearly cannot handle the stress of operating a pharmacy and further, are extremely unprofessional with their language and how they handle liaising with doctors. We use this pharmacy to fill our dog's congestive heart failure medicine. We called in a refill on a Friday and still had not heard back on the following Tuesday. At first they said they could not locate our account, then after we gave them the prescription number, insisted they had not gotten our vet's approval which was sent the best day after we called for the refill. When calmly asking for an explanation of what happened to the original vet approval, we were put on hold by the sales person who answered the phone and abruptly transferred over to the owner. The owner told us if we want our prescription today, he was going to charge us an arbitrary extra $100. Then accused us of arguing with the sales person even though we were simply asking for an explanation what happened to the original vet approval. At no point did we raise our voice or curse at anyone. The owner of this pharmacy told us they were "busy as shit" with COVID related work and then again said if we wanted it filled today (five days after we called it in) he would demand an extra $100 from us. We are currently looking for a new pharmacy to fill I'm the vital prescription for our dying dog as we are fully out of the prescription despite calling it in with enough time not to run out. read more

But never fear, if your doctor prescribes compounded medications and you fill it here, they will deliver for a reasonable fee. They also fill other prescriptions. They have an impressive array of vitamins and supplements from quality manufacturers, and can help you find them so you don't have to hunt forever. They also stock various modalities of remedies for colds and flu and stress. Very nice and knowledgeable folks. I previously posted a very negative review for this pharmacy because my 1st and only experience with them was horrible. It was due to the supporting staff and had nothing to do with the pharmacist or the compound I received. Shortly after my post, I was notified by pharmacist Tom Schnorr who had read my review and was immensely apologetic for my experience. He informed me he recently had some staff changes and was actually away when my script was prepared. I have to admit I was very surprised by his call, because this kind of thing just doesn't happen in today's culture of lousy customer service. He also compensated me $55 off what I paid for my 30 day prescription which also included an erroneous shipping charge (I had it mailed). Now that is what excellent customer service looks like !! After 4 years as your customer, I spoke to Jason who called to tell me they would no longer take my insurance " because they never paid us". I asked why nobody ever mentioned it before. I asked if he would fill it and give me time to find another compounded location or if he could forward it and was told "NO"...again he said "no & we're just glad to get rid all tricare patients".. Although I've never made it to their store (they have free delivery), I feel as if they are friends. I have been having my prescriptions filled here for a couple of years. They are always efficient, polite, and personable.

This place is incompetent and dangerous. I have had two prescriptions compounded and delivered monthly for the last couple of years. I regularly received only one of my two prescriptions, and was told that they just "forgot" to put the second one in the bag so I started picking up my meds. I recently had an employee lie to me about why one of my prescriptions wasn't ready (she said the doctor hadn't approved it until after I had already picked up my first prescription, even though I had just left the pharmacy 20 minutes before) and another employee hang up on me when I called back the next day to see about getting it delivered. Tom's excuse is that they are busy, stressed, on no sleep, etc. Like they are the only ones. This morning he complained when I asked for a refund for a fee that I should not have been charged. After I told him I was taking my business elsewhere he actually called me back and cussed me out on my voicemail. Incredibly inappropriate behavior from the owner of a place that handles controlled substances. Their on-hold message says that ivermectin taken prophylactically on a weekly basis is effective against Covid and shills for their compounded Covid remedies. Inaccurate and potentially deadly advice. Employees do not wear masks either, which is incredibly irresponsible when they are serving potentially ill and immunocompromised pharmacy customers. read more

Austin Compounding is a small, locally owned pharmacy that is a sister store of Apothecary Shop. I was using both until recently. The store experienced flooding in May, and when they renovated, the owner of the building and the business, Tom Schnorr, removed the one and only disabled parking spot claiming that an inspector told him that he was grandfathered from needing a disabled spot because the building was built before 1970. This is false information. Schnorr then told me that he was "glad" that he didn't have to have a disabled parking spot (because parking is in such short supply in their lot). When I asked him to replace the disabled spot, he initially refused. I've also had issues with this location where the pharmacist who was opening that day didn't show up until 9:40 a.m. when the store opened at 9 a.m. (See my review on Apothecary Shop for more about this business/owner.) read more
