First of all, I stopped by the pharmacy to pick up my prescription and they were very friendly and great customer service. Then, I decided to get my friend a birthday card, her favorite candy, and a Starbucks giftcard. The young lady checking me out was friendly and nice, but I told her I wanted a $10 Starbucks giftcard. She proceeded to ring me up and repeated to me that it was a $10 giftcard. I walked out to my car and just happen to look at my checking account and questioned how I just spent $50+ ?? I checked my receipt and realized that the girl charged me $40 for the Starbucks card. I literally walked back in to the cashier, never left the parking lot, and told her that she gave me a giftcard for $40 instead of $10. She apologized and tried to give me a refund or switch out the cards. She tells me that these giftcards are non-refundable!!!! Then she called the manager over to help her do the refund and she said the same thing that it was non-refundable and the young lady should have told me that. I told the manager, that could hardly speak English and was hard to understand, that the other girl never said anything about the giftcard being non-refundable nor was there any sign by the giftcards saying non-refundable, and nothing is on the receipt!! I become infuriated because they just keep saying that it can't be returned and I need to call the phone number on the back of the card! I literally walked out to my car and back inside and the sales clerk should have told me it was non-refundable, and she should have realized that the card was for $40 instead of $10 and that my total at the end was $50+ and I just had a card and candy. So now I have to pay for the mistake that your sales clerk made! I told both of them just to return everything and I would never shop there again due to the horrible customer service and rudeness of the manager. She was laughing at me when she saw how mad I was and just kept saying" I cannot return, no return on these cards" she said she would call the 800 number on the back of the Starbucks card...by this time I am furious! Again, why am I the one being penalized for a mistake her cashier made!! I told the people in line behind me that apparently they don't return gift cards even though it was not my fault and walked to my car and back inside after realizing I was overcharged. The kind lady behind me walked back in 5 minutes later with $40 cash and said she would just buy the Starbucks card from me. If it wasn't for the kind lady I would have left there with a $40 giftcard, that I never wanted, and did not need all because they made a mistake and never told be anything about not being able to return the card or issue me another card. The manager was not nice at all and laughed in my face when she saw how mad I was!! She was rude, could hardly speak English, and was not helpful at all!!! She never even apologized for their mistake! I will never shop at this Walgreens again!!!! NEVER and will even be transferring my prescriptions to another location!!! read more

I called the pharmacy three consecutive days to ask if my blood pressure medication was on the recall list. The first day I was told they would not check for me and they would not take down the medication name/manufacturer/lot #. I was told to call the next day. The next day I called and they told me they would look into it and call me. They did not call me. The third day I called and was told the medication was not on a recall list. When I asked why I was not called as they said they would, I was told they were busy, but they had made notes!!! That is the worst customer service ever! Please go elsewhere for photos, especially when processing multiple cameras. The photo quality is poor. They quote an inaccurate processing time. For disposable cameras, they only send them out once a week. While they included a snapshot of the order, they managed to cutoff the name on multiple sets so I don't know whom the photos belonged to. I had to pay for a set that had NO photos - they said the film was not exposed to any light. One set had photo scraps/cut edges in the package too. read more

I am not one to review on YELP but you know positive vibes are needed every once and awhile. I went to Walgreens today for a FedEx drop off and to purchase batteries. First time visit here. I was greeted at the door, assisted immediately with my FedEx drop off which entailed printing me a return label since my printer is no longer working and help locating a battery for my car lob! Everything here seems overpriced. They never have enough staff, so standing in line at checkout is a given. You'll also stand in line at the pharmacy, at least twice, once to submit your prescription and again to pick it up when it's ready. It'll take a long time to be filled, so be prepared to wait. I would try any pharmacy but this one. They are overwhelmed and under staffed. But they have been for a long time so you would think that those in charge would try and improve the situation. My Dr. called in a prescription 2:00 yesterday. I went up there 3 times and each time it wasn't ready. It has been almost 24 hours since that time and still no prescription. I've had numerous issues with this pharmacy but the most recent one prompted this review. My doctor called in a Rx for 15mg 2Xday. When I picked up my prescription, I received them as 5mg 2XDAY. I confirmed with both my doctor and with Walgreens that they did receive the prescription written as 15mg 2Xday. Rather than owning this mistake, Walgreens has claimed to both me and the office administrator for the clinic that they were out of 15mg pills and therefore substituted with the 5mg. This would make sense, if they had actually provided enough pills to make up for that dosage, or if the bottle didn't explicitly say "5 mg 2XDay". I'm not sure it is within the power of a pharmacist to change a dosage without consulting the prescribing doctor. Furthermore, Walgreens' inability to say "we prescribed the wrong dose" caused a lot of confusion between me and the clinic. This is a controlled substance and I am lucky that I have a good relationship with this clinic and medical staff. But the way Walgreens handled this is irresponsible, negligent, and can absolutely make patients appear drug seeking. After resolving the dosage issue, I was informed I may have to pay out of pocket for the pharmacy's mistake. Luckily the medical administrator called them and was able to rectify this. The medication was still being "verified" this morning, despite Walgreens having been sent a new script and, to my knowledge, speaking with the clinic at least twice yesterday. When I called this morning to ask why, the woman I spoke to was exceedingly rude, condescending, and implied the dosing issue was not Walgreens' mistake. I have been massively underdosed and the Walgreens team has been misleading with both me and the office administrator of the clinic. Not a single apology from Walgreens, but continual disregard. The medical staff at my clinic, who are in no way responsible for this, were more apologetic and empathetic to this situation. read more

Well, another corporation has made its way into the former sleepy town of Dripping Springs. But James, shouldn't you be excited about a Walgreens someone asked? Let me give you the reasons why I was and the reason that I retracted my joy. First, they close at 10 which makes me sad. That late night call to pick up milk after I get off work sends me to Oak Hill after 10PM. I've noticed I can't rely on Walgreens for milk anyway; all the Vitamin D milk expired the next day when I tried to buy it over the weekend. Little Rooster drinks alot of milk; but even he can't polish off a gallon in 24 hours. Jenny used to have her meds filled at Walgreens until the Doctor switched her prescription. The pharmacist advised us that they did not have that particular medicine; so we switched to HEB which carries it. So that's twice this new store doesn't make our life any better; unless you count the "AS SEEN ON TV" section which makes me chuckle every visit. Look honey, I used the Mighty Putty to make a handle for my Ped Egg! The major plus for this store and the biggest factor in my rating is the staff. Every visit the folks are genuine and friendly. I recently moved to Dripping Springs and needed a place to drop off Fedex packages for my business. We provide IT support to a nationwide sales force and the computer equipment we ship sometimes requires one day service. So I was pleasantly surprised to find a Walgreens 2 minutes away to drop off packages. Unfortunately, we had a 1-Day Express time sensitive package dropped off at 10am on a Friday. It needed to arrive in Michigan by Monday. Walgreens never gave it to the driver on Friday at noon like they advertise. It only takes one time to lose a customer. 92 year old immunocompromised gentleman has been trying to get a COVID booster and they repeatedly allow him to make an appointment but then call and cancel. Their system of scheduling appointments is primitive and wholly unacceptable. Try calling to get an answer to any question and getting a simple answer has proven to be impossible. Not only the slowest but the rudest pharmacist and techs that I've ever experienced in any Walgreens. One of the pharmacist argued over a prescription that my doctor prescribed saying that she did not know why he would prescribe that particular drug as is she is a doctor. Everyone needs to get on good RX for a coupon to lower the drug sometimes almost up to three times less.So the very young, very old or maybe somebody that doesn't understand the language are paying these high prices because the pharmacist doesn't bother to look for a coupon. DO NOT GET YOUR PHOTOS PRINTED HERE. I had 50 photos printed here and 25 of them came back incredibly blurry. When I went in to get them fixed, one of the employees happily helped me, and fixed the problem. Half way through fixing them she had to leave to the register, and the manager came to help. He was very rude and did not listen to me whatsoever. I told him I only needed 8 photos re printed (since the other employee had already fixed the other 13), and he ignored me and went ahead and reprinted ALL 50 photos again. The new 50 photos were also blurry and he proceeded to tell me they're was nothing they could do. I told him that the other employee was able to fix the photos but he refused to print them again, saying "we are unable to fix them," and then walked away from me. read more

After reading all the laudatory praise of Walgreens corporate culture in "Good to Great", I'm still baffled at how poor customer service flourishes in some of their stores. This Walgreens is one of those locations that doesn't have to try hard because it's in Dripping Springs. I stopped here on the way back from a trip to Wimberley a few weeks ago because I needed one of those "Walgreens-only" items. When I went to the department, nearly all products in that section had been unloaded helter-skelter on a cart in the middle of the aisle, with no store clerk in sight. As luck would have it, the item I needed was one of the last few still on the rack, so I could grab it and check out without digging through the cart layers. On the way to the registers, I happened upon another cart (there's a theme here, I think) that advertised clearance candy at 90% off. So, I came across items with prices of (big) 9 (little) 9 and (big) 3 (little) 2. I was a bit perplexed. Was this candy bar originally $9.90? And the Snickers bar $3.20? Or were they charging gas station prices today, like 9.9 cents? So I asked at the register (obviously interrupting a personal conversation among the two cashiers at one register--or come to think of it, I may have found the cart lady): "Oh, no, those aren't 90% off. Just the Easter candy. So they're 99 cents and 32 cents." "So, why does the sign say 90% off?" "Yeah, that's confusing, isn't it?" No sh_t, Sharlock. It's not deceptive. At all. read more

I'm done with this place! Their hours are way too short, and I've wasted hours waiting in lines where the I find the average time taken is 10 -15 mins a car. If there are 2 cars in front of you (and there usually is that or more), plan to sit there for 30 minutes. Maddening! They so grossly overcharged me (compared to other pharmacies) for a pet Prescription, it was an insulting ripoff! They constantly screw up getting refill status' right, leaving me without pills I need... This is the most irritating business I've ever struggled along with. NO MORE. I had a similar issue with them not billing insurance like they should have. When I pointed out the error on my next visit they said the five day window passed to report it and I was on my own to fix with insurance. The problem was I had no idea they ran no insurance, kind of seems like a common thing for a pharmacy to do. Anyways makes one more person going to the HEB. I tried to give the manager a chance to help fix the problem but they seemed disinterested and kept repeating policy is no fixes after five days. Update: Manager did follow up with me and resolve the issue a day later so revising my review a little. Nice store and convenient however Pharmacy is under staffed with long wait times for prescription's. My doctor had faxed in an RX for antibiotics and an inhaler, with a note to fill ASAP. 1 hour later in the drive through and it hadn't been touched, A sick child with 102.5 temp. Who just wanted to go home and I am told it will be at least another 30 minutes. Ugh. As a follow up they did call in extra help and the pharmacy tech. was extremely apologetic and helpful in getting our RX filled. read more

I have been using this Walgreens for a number of years and find all the staff friendly and professional. The pharmacy stays on top of my prescription needs and I get text messages when they are ready for me to pick up. They even were thoughtful enough to arrange for 90 day supplies with my doctor when the Covid-19 hit. The pharm. who gives the flu shots is the best...completely painless...just all around wonderful, professional service over years. I am grateful they are here in Dripping. read more

My husband and I have had the EXACT same experience with this Walgreens billing the wrong insurance, telling us that prescriptions are ready, only to arrive and find that they're out of stock on that prescription, and these are medicines that we have to take daily, anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds. We've had the exact same experience multiple times now with them saying they never received faxes from our doctors. I'm not sure what to say except there must have been an exceptional staff turnover. I have been trying to get my diabetic supplies for going on 3 weeks now. First they tried billing the wrong insurance so when it wasn't covered they shelved the order. I shook it loose when I called to inquire. This isn't the first time I've had this filled, so I don't understand why they billed the wrong insurance. Next they said my doc wasn't returning documentation. My doc has faxed it twice and has called the pharmacy directly to ascertain receipt. Now they say my insurance is not responding. I was promised an update call that has yet to come. Anybody besides me see a pattern here? On top of that the number for their region al office doesn't work. Im at the point of being ready to complain to a regulatory body. Like always, it is all about what is in it for them and not for the patient. They constantly substitue gernices without informing the patient. It is plain simple, not all medications are the same and some have different fillers and release mechanisms that effect some people differently. If we do not send a loud message to our government saying that we are fed up with what they have done and are doing to our healthcare system we will be in serious trouble in a few years. I challenge each of you to ask your senators, congressmen, congresswomen and President as to where they get their healthcare and if they are honest, they will tell you that they have access to special healthcare that we do not. read more

I've only had to deal with prescriptions from this pharmacy a small number of times, but they always seem to be "running behind" "working on it" or "experiencing delays". If just one person would say "Hey man, we are the only Wallgreens for almost 10miles in either direction, it might take a few more days than usual to get this filled, and we get a lot of calls being the only one in this area, so you might be on hold a while", I might be cool with that. But they don't. Not once have I ever had anything filled within the time frame I was given. I've heard "just once second" "let me transfer you" "hold on" and listened to half an hour of elevator music enough times followed by, "it looks like will be ready by noon" "it should be ready by this evening" "it should be ready by tomorrow morning" "we should have that for you this afternoon"...to feel justified in complaining. So..just be prepared for that. read more
