If you're looking for yummy, grubby, messy bbq that you can smell the second you step out of your vehicle, this is your place. I read a review that said if they could give a 10, they would. When it comes to the grilling here, I wholeheartedly agree. I ordered the bbq chicken sandwich, tots, and coleslaw. The sandwich was as delicious as it was messy; the sandwich had huge, white piece chunks of chicken- moist, seasoned, and flavorful, through and through. I requested the sweet sauce on the sandwich and hot on the side. Both were solid, but for me, I'm team sweet. The tots were outstanding. Do not underestimate them. The coleslaw was good- fresh, nice tang. Amazing staff, love the artwork inside. There's a reason WHY they're 4.7 out of 5. They're that good.

I feel like this place is the only locally owned bbq spot on the East Valley. My hubby has been here several times and he loves it. I was here yesterday 1/16/26. The place is on Requa and Indio Blvd. Across .. the storage place. Ambiance was chill - maybe typical hipstery rib shack? Im not sure. Noise level is average. The space is bigger there I expected. The service was impeccable. This is what I got: 3 meat 2 sides plate (tri-tip, bbq chicken and sausage, bbq beans, salad and chipotle Mac n cheese) 8 oz dev. pot sal. 16 oz chip. Mac n cheese 16 BBQ beans Tri Tip Chili I can't speak on the meats because I didn't have any straight up. I'm more of a rib gal anyway, and this place doesn't have any... at least not on the online menu. The tri tip chili was bomb. It had squares if cornbread in it too. *Chefs kiss*. Very savory. I did add my own sharp cheddar later because I love chili with cheddar. Chipotle Mac n Cheese was yummy! I expected it to have a bit of a kick, but it wasnt spicy. It just adds a layer of deliciousness to it. BBQ beans were good. They were a bit firmer then others I've had in the past. Not to my liking, but overall still yummy. Last but not least, the deviled eggs potato salad tastes exactly as it's title. I love deviled eggs. I'd actually use this as the stuffing in a deviled egg. Matter face think I'm gna do that this afternoon! Lol I definitely recommend this place. First, because it's local so I know that money is going back into the community. Secondly because their BBQ is solid from what hubby said and their sides are tasty. Service is great too. Oh, aaaaand, I can be there from my house in 15-20min. The only reason I gave them a 4 star is because there isn't anyone this side to compare with and I can't get here during the week day (the close at 2 or 3 on Monday-Thurs). Anyhow, hit them up if you're in Indio. PS... Sorry! I only got a pic of my 1/3 eaten tri tip chili because I forgot to take pics of the rest before it was gone. *Oopsie*

Today's lunch was at a local BBQ joint in Indio. Only offers 1. TriTip 2. Pulled pork 3. Linguica sausage 4. Boneless chicken dark meat We got the sausage (needed a slight kick of spice) and chicken (was good). Baked beans were great! The MacNCheese needed a bit more cheese. The deviled egg potato salad lacked chunks of potato, too mushy. The service was very good and friendly!!

Excellent BBQ!! We stopped in after being excused from jury duty. What a great find. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the place is clean and had some great music playing. We ordered the trip-tip sandwich and a rack of bbq baby back ribs. Both were smoked and cooked to perfection. The tri-tip was flavorful, tender, and tasted great with their own bbq sauce on top. The ribs were flavorful, tender, and pulled right off the bone. We will definitely be back and would like to try their other meats (chicken, etc). Go try this place for sure!!

All week, I was thinking to myself, "Where could I order up and take home delicious bbq to enjoy on a Friday evening?"I heard some positive comments about CV BBQ. I phoned in my order, which was promptly taken without hassle. I enjoyed the chicken meal with two amazing sides. The chicken meal is tender, slow cooked, with a hint of oakwood bbq flavor. Truly an amazing chicken bbq dinner or lunch meal. I admit that CV BBQ is now my favorite bbq chicken meal in the Coachella Valley. Hands down ,exceptional ! My side orders equally meritorious positive remarks. The beans were slightly sweet and full of flavor. My other side, Mac & Cheese, delicious with a chipotle flavor! My dining companion enjoyed the wonderful flavor and preparation of the tri-tip meal. The tri-tip is perfectly prepared. You will not be disappointed. Fellow yelpers also give the tri -tip high marks for flavor and tastes. Our meals were so delicious and enjoyable. I was focused on the flavors and delight. Sorry, I neglected to snap a quick photo of our dinner meal. Too late, my meal was partially devoured. As you enter the eatery, you can feel the warmth, pride, and care for this close-knit eatery with a "family-run" feel. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, organized, pleasant, and very clean. Staff members, Prisciilla and Adrain greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. I felt truly appreciated for coming into their wonderful piece of bbq heaven. Kudos and a huge "thank you" to Priscilla and Adrian for their awesome customer service skills! As you enjoy your meal, you can taste the pride, heart, soul, and passion of this eatery. Very nice and clean place! Great service ! Noemi helped us was very friendly explained the menu and was awesome!! Order the pulled pork sliders and fries coleslaw on side not on slides, also a tri tip sandwich . The pork was so juicy and flavorful , the trip tip was also moist! The bbq sauce were very tasty!! They gave us a tasting the chili that was also very good!! We will be back again!!

The hours of business are crazy, it is off the beat and path in Indio , and the bbq menu is very unusual. We first wanted to go one Sunday but they are closed Sunday and Monday. It's clean and cute to dine in but it's very confusing to try and order the first time you visit because the items are by the pound and half pound. The young girl at the counter was very sweet but she couldn't answer any questions about amounts. So we ended up ordering way too much sausage which wasn't our favorite. A half pound would have been enough. There were three of us dining at home. The potato salad was exceptional followed by the Mac and cheese , tri tip-, and the spicy bbq sauce. The beans were good but a tad sweet .the chicken was boneless thighs which might be better in a sandwich than eaten alone. I thought the garlic bread, slaw, and the corn were just ok. It's far to drive so I'm not sure if we can dine there too often.

Absolutely my FAVORITE bbq between here are Corpus Christi Texas where we also have a home. Employees are ALWAYS super sweet and helpful. They always check to be sure you are enjoying your order. My only request is that they switch to paper for the hot beans and mac n cheese. I try not to eat hot stuff out of plastic. Only eat the center part where it does not touch the plastic. But it wouldn't stop me from eating here. They could serve it to me on a bed pan and I would be happy.

We throughly enjoyed our lunch at CV BBQ! We tried the BBQ chicken sandwich , which is juicy and tender as can be! And we also tried the bbq tri tip sandwich that was so good! It was filled with tender strips of tri tip and very filling. We had the potato salad and crusted baked Mac and cheese sides. They are homemade in-house and excellent! I am picky about potato salad; I don't want anything that tastes like it came from a carton. You could tell this was freshly made! And the Mac and cheese was great! I love it when you find a Mac and cheese with buttered crumb topping baked on top! They seem to have a lot of regulars that came in while we ate our meal. That's always a good sign! Parking is easy in the lot by the restaurant. It's a few blocks off the freeway, but easy to use your GPS to find. They are only open for the lunch trade (10:30-2:00) and only four days a week so it would be best to double check before you head over there. I hope someday that they are able to open everyday! It was our first visit but not our last. read more

This was the most delicious tri tip and pulled pork sandwich I've had! The service was SO quick and so friendly, I will most certainly be returning for those yummy sandwiches and not to mention the sides were magnificent! Try the corn OFF the Cobb, so buttery and good!! Overall AMAZING experience here. 10/10 would recommend! Plus they have super cool murals inside the store! read more

This is the spot if you want great bbq! I can only eat chicken so it's really hard to find a great bbq chicken spot! Look no further. Not only is there food super delicious, their customer service is great! Although i don't eat beef or pork, it smelled heavenly and was very tempting to try. Check this place out to get your bbq fix. This place serves great tasting BBQ. I highly recommend the Tri Tip sandwich and the spicy BBQ sauce! The decor isn't special, the location isn't special, but the BBQ is very special. It is so good it will make you want you to slap yo momma! If taking selfies is part of your food routine, this probably isn't the spot for you. read more

In an area where there are not many options and variety of foods CV bbq is a welcomed addition. The brisket and sausage were moist and the bbq is yummy. The Mac and cheese was creamy and the coleslaw was perfect. You can tell all the things made here are by hand. I wish the food came out little hotter. Our meals were a bit warm but overall very delicious!!! read more

Simply put FANTASTIC!!!! This valley needed a great BBQ place, well here it is! I had the Tri-Tip plate which was out of this world juicy and flavorful and my wife had the BBQ chicken which I tried to steal away a couple of times because it was so good. We had the honor of meeting Sean and Yvette the owners and they are amazing people who you can tell put a lot of time, effort and love into their food and making customers feel at home. Yes it is only open 2 days a week but it gives us something to look forward to. I can't wait to try everything on the menu. If you love BBQ like I do this is a MUST MUST MUST try place! My mouth is watering even writing this review!!!!! ENJOY, you won't be disappointed. read more

Amazing food good price too . Had the the chili really good lots of meat . More meat than vegetables and beans. Service was great and nice . The gentleman was making bruschetta he said it was for a party . I really wish bruschetta was on their regular menu as a side or salad that would be my only suggestion read more

Deliciousness! The best Tri-Tip I've ever had, and that chicken, moist and delicious. Oh and the Linguiness spicy sausage! Clearly the sides are home made and the best. Sean, it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you for the best wedding catering experience! What a great place!!! Just went to their opening day today and I am thrilled to have genuine bbq in our area!!!! The food was delicious. I had a tri tip sandwich and it was awesome!!!! The sides were delicious as well. Fresh and simple. The portions were generous sized and stayed good even later for leftovers( that's how you know a place is good, when even the leftovers are amazing)! Clean and cute country decor inside. Family owned small business which is great. You can tell they really care about their food quality and customers. Will definitely make this place a regular stop. As of now they are only open Monday's and Wednesday's for lunch. read more

This is by far the best bbq in the Coachella valley! We have had their food before at several of the music festivals and events out here and were happy to hear they opened up a spot for lunch. The food is delicious, our favorites are the tri tip and the Mac and cheese but everything is so good you can't go wrong. This will definitely be one of our regular lunch spots from now on. read more

This is definitely the best BBQ in town. You will 100% love everything on the menu. They cater the most insane tri tip and chicken (plus more) of anywhere in the world. And their sides are amaze (the Mac and cheese is pure heaven and their Caesar salad is perfection), and we are so beyond stoked the opened a restaurant. You will absolutely not regret trying everything they have. Plus they have such a great deal on a HUGE BBQ meal, even the biggest eater will be full after a meal at CVBBQ. It's so awesome they grill right in front of you, so it's not only a great meal you can also see your trip tip sizzling right in front of you. We highly recommend trying this place if you haven't already. read more

Ordered to go and my order was ready on time Chili was delicious, not what I was expecting but in a good way. The chili has more meat than beans, it is not your typical chili. Tri tip was nicely cut and tender very good taste with the sweet sauce. Deviled egg potato salad is the best side!!! Hopefully the portions on sides increase, cuz I could eat this salad all day! Definitely prefer the ribs on fridays though! The other meats are okay but the ribs are worth waiting all week for. Keep up the good work read more

If I could put 10 stars on Yelp I would . This small business not only has delicious bbq they also have a owner with great integrity ! Me and my wife booked CV Bbq for our 10 year Vow renewal months in advanced prior to covid 19 . We later tried to move our date to the end of the year not knowing this situation would still exist. Having to make a hard decision & postpone our event yet again to a unknown time we spoke with Sean at Cv to receive a full refund. Sean understood and with no questions asked refunded us . With no issues, like some of our other vendors we have booked with , we definitely will be using cv bbq for our event and recommend them to others. Thanks again Sean ! read more

Let me just say, I'm a creature of habit. I love to try new restaurants, but absolutely hate when I am disappointed with a new venture. Yesterday, I was not disappointed! My husband has had CV bbq on his radar for at least three months now. I love and KNOW good bbq and was hesitant to try CV. Yesterday was the day. I had the 2 meat combo (Linguisa and chicken), total delishishness! The meat was served w/o sauce which I like. Not that I don't like good, saucy bbq, but the meat should first speak for itself...then add your sauce. Sauces are served table side, hot and sweet, both were yummy. The chicken was so tender, and not overcooked. The sides we're good. I had the potato salad (in my humble opinion, it could use a little salt, but I understand everyone can't have or doesn't like additional salt in their food. Salt and pepper was provided at the table so I could add some.) The Mac and cheese was divine! I only gave 4 stars because I had my heart set on BBQ ribs, but yesterday, they weren't on the menu. I was informed CV has ribs also, but they are on a rotating menu. I can't wait to try them! The staff was attentive, and friendly...the restaurant was clean, welcoming, and bright! We were in town and after reading the other yelp reviews we thought we would try to find CV BBQ and give it a try. It did confuse Waze a bit, but we found it! There were a few people sitting down eating when we arrived at 11 am. They opened at 10:30 am. However, by the time we left it was pretty full of locals. Always a good sign when the locals eat somewhere regularly. The menu is straight forward reminds me of some of the ma and pop bbq places in Oklahoma. We had pulled pork quesadilla my 9 year old ate it all! I had the bbq chicken sandwich special with Mac and cheese, daughter had the pulled pork sandwich with amazing bbq beans and hubby had the two meat special with bbq chicken and tri tip. CV BBQ's owner, Sean Smith, is no stranger to bbq and to a customer service background. Growing up on the central coast, Sean learned and crafted his bbq skills and techniques at an early age. Living in the Santa Barbara area Sean was introduced to the local areas choice cuts, seasoning and spices while continuing to educate himself with a hospitality customer service background. Sean has now landed in the Coachella Valley where he has brought those techniques, flavors and selections to create a new bold, fun and exciting brand known as CV BBQ.

Definite one and done for me. Not sure how they have almost 5000 mostly positive reviews. Maybe people in Indio have different taste buds? Who knows. I shall not return. Meh.

The BBQ is so good here I came back a week after my first visit! I have yet to try their pork ribs. On both occasions they were either sold out or it was a day porkribs are not prepared.
