If there is anyone else in there, everyone ends up shouting. The main dining room is loud, the side room is intolerable. And they know it's an issue but don't seem to be doing anything about it. After days of mediocre to flat out horrible dining experiences all along 30A, this was a welcomed breath of fresh air! We made a reservation the day of (Wednesday) for 8:15pm. Our table was ready upon arrival and the restaurant wasn't too busy. We brought a few of our own bottles of wine and paid the $25 per bottle corkage fee. Our server was Tracy and she was attentive, but not obtrusive. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered escargot, Caesar salad, and French onion soup. Everyone enjoyed their first course. I was not a fan of the bread that was served, but, that's just my personal preference. We had filet mignon that was cooked perfectly and very affordable at $36. À la carte side dishes were all delicious. Mashed sweet potatoes, traditional mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. At $10 each, I felt they were an appropriate size. Dessert consisted of key lime pie, banana bread pudding and a sampler platter. Everything was tasty, and again, Tracy made our experience even better. Both times we were encouraged to come with the understanding no reservations. Both times we arrived to find reserved tables in the bar area that had not yet been claimed. Both times we got no answer on how some people can get reservations while others fend for themselves. If you like to go out for a pricey meal in a nice restaurant that will make you feel like an idiot this is the place for you. We ate nearby and on our way out noticed Cuvée had mostly empty tables. Had a great dinner with friends celebrating a 45 yr friendship at this very inviting restaurant. Jacob was our server. He was accommodating and easy going with a big smile. He loves his work and is exceptional at it. He took pictures of our group and was part of several pictures as well. Jacob made suggestions on entrees and also wine pairings for each. I had the pork chop on his recommendation and it was flavorful, juicy and delicious. I'm still thinking about that chop!! We booked the private room to celebrate my friend's wedding. When we arrived your self-proclaimed General Manager, who was running the host stand, seated us in the private room where they had seated two parties. I asked your General Manager if she would be willing to accommodate the other party, to which she replied that she had no tables. She also said that the room was not reserved and just because we were told we would be in private dining room, that we were not guaranteed a private dining experience. . I have attached both the confirmation text of our reservation from your staff member and a picture of the dining room when we left. We did not eat at the restaurant and we were willing to pay the $1500 reservation fee charged (as that is what we expected to have been charged when we reserved the room). The other party in the room were also willing to be moved. My friend's wedding night did not go as planned because of your GM and her lack of customer service. We were a party of 16, which was a pretty good party for your waiters to serve as well. I do wonder if the issue was that we were a party of 16 Black people? I certainly hope not, but it sure felt that way. My suggestion to you would be to find someone with better customer service skills to run your restaurant. Your GM said there was nothing she could do. That is unfortunate. It is also unfortunate that I will be leaving a bad review on yelp, tripadvisor and google detailing our bad experience at Cuvee. read more

Cuvée One of my favorite Destin Restaurants has closed. Cuvée located at 36120 Emerald Coast Pkwy, Destin is no longer open. Yelp has this listed as Cuvée-Old. So if you are a Cuvée fan like I am, you will head to 30A We decided to take the 30 mile drive that was approximately an hour's drive in traffic to Cuvée 30A. On this evening and special occasion we learned very quickly that our server was starting her first night ever as a server and we were her first customers. She was very kind and we encouraged her as she didn't yet know the menu or have any real experience serving. She was shadowed by an experienced server that helped her and we were taken care appropriately. I see more and more of this with people having to work multiple jobs outside of their own element since our county's economy has been in the toilet for last eight years. Let's just hope it's turning. We started off with a bottle of bubbly and munched on some bread and olive-oil for a bit while we decided on appetizers. We then proceeded to order the nightly special mixed green salads and appetizers that included Fried Oysters, The Beef Carpaccio. The tiny Mixed Green Salad that consisted of some Mixed Greens, Cherry Tomatoes, Walnuts and a Warm Bacon Dressing was very good but very small and lite which was good. The Fried Oysters was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The Beef Carpaccio was Absolutely Excellent! This is truly the only beef carpaccio that we've eaten that's I believe is in the same class of Frank Stitt's version at his Resturant's in Birmingham AL; Highland's Bar & Grill and or Bottega. For entrees we ordered the nightly specials that included a 14 ounce Bone in Ribeye that was cooked perfectly medium-rare as ordered and very tender. We also had the King Crab Legs. Both were delicious. The King Crab Legs were very large, tender and the shells were pre-cracked so that eating them was very easy. Delicious! We were packed and decided to skip desert and ask for the bill. When I made the reservation I was asked if this was for any special occasions and told her it was. So instead of bringing us a check, they brought us a really large piece of Banana Cream Pie with covered with white chocolate chips beautifully decorated on a desert plater with a candle. What a surprise an a awesome finish to an exquisite evening. We'll be back in July. read more

Armed with our gift voucher we stepped in. We always like to eat early so 4.45 pm it was. The rehearsal hour - or happy hour as they call it. The food was average, fried green tomatoes with crawfish,(brown butter sauce and crawfish were delish, the tomatoes a little over cooked and soft for our taste) caesar salad, (small), spring rolls (greasy). Pear Martini (no pear) eww in those stainless steel martini glasses me no like. Manhattan, deep sigh. The main problem was the staff, surly and chitter chattering about the challenges of the evening ahead. We came to relax - not listen to their woes or their planning. Dont talk about this in front of the customers!! You need to be ready at happy hour, we are paying guests! Oh and did I mention when the friedgreen tomato came out, the deliverer was on their cell phone. We had a gift voucher so did not feel cheated but here's the thing, we wanted our servers to be swans gently paddling downstream (poncey I know but is it too much to ask). Did we feel wanted? Appetizer first. They had a seasonal appetizer of Alaskan crab legs served cold with clarified butter. DELICIOUS. One of the best things I've eaten in a while. From there, the meal declined sharply. All told, the meal took 3 1/2 hours. Add another 30 minutes for the waitress to find my card, which she lost. She was erratic, sometimes rude, and often sarcastic. She spoke in condescending tones in response to reasonable questions. We had a party of 8, and I always try to give servers a little extra patience. But my patience was tested and broken. More on the food: Steak was raw, not medium rare. Tuna was delicious, although slightly over seasoned. Scallops were undercooked. Salads were bland, but presented well. We didn't have reservations so our group of three ate at a high top at the bar which offered the unexpected bonus of an extended happy hour! Everything was lovely - drinks, service, ambiance and food! It was a nice surprise to see Prisoner offered by the glass - it's a favorite of mine and I can't finish a bottle on my own We enjoyed the chef's nightly scallops preparation which involved watermelon and was interesting but not something I'd order again! Our entrees were good but not very memorable. Due to a computer glitch, our sides didn't come out until we had finished our entrees and while our server indicated they'd be taken off our bill, they were not. Excellent meal! After a few days of seafood only dinners, I was in the mood for chicken. I ordered the roasted chicken with mashed garlic potatoes, Madeira garlic sauce and subbed the green beans for the Brussels sprouts. The Madeira garlic sauce perfectly complemented the chicken and potatoes. The Brussel sprouts were crispy on the outer leaves without being burnt. The feature dessert was apple pie - omg good! To begin, the female serving as the hostess is lacking in many areas including friendliness, professionalism and problem solving. She should not be the face of any upscale establishment. We ordered the salmon appetizer and beef Carpaccio for appetizers. They were both bland and insipid. The heirloom tomato salad was nearly inedible and completely unappetizing. The presentation of this dish was a disaster. My husband also ordered the chicken with burrata mashed potatoes. This was not terrible but a far cry from the 29.95 price tag. They tried to charge us twice for one appetizer and did correct this. So watch your check. There are many places to eat along 30A that have great food but unfortunately this is not one of them. read more

My husband and I went to Cuvée a couple of nights ago with high hopes. While the service was fine, the food itself left much to be desired. We tried to put in our appetizers when we ordered cocktails, but the server said that we weren't able to do that and it all had to be put in at one time (preventing us from being able to pace our meal to our liking). I could potentially understand if the place was completely packed and that they didn't want you to stay too long (although that diminishes the dining experience in and of itself). This was a Monday night and it was fairly dead. We ordered the smoked salmon and lobster bisque as appetizers and then the pecan crusted grouper and duck for mains. I was thinking about ordering the chicken, but found out that it is just a half a chicken on a plate without any accompaniments at all. The salmon was supple and flavourful, but it was obvious that they plated it early on in the evening and then placed it in a refrigerator to chill as the horseradish cream that they lightly painted onto the plate had dried to the plate making it hardened and unable to be eaten. I tried my husband's lobster bisque. There was definitely a nice essence of lobster in the background, but it was incredibly salty (and I tend to LOVE salt) and the teaspoon of lobster meat in the center had a large piece of shell. I know that you can get a bit of shell every now and then and might expect it when there was quite a bit of shellfish meat, but I am being generous when I say that there was a teaspoons worth. The duck meat was fairly tender and flavourful. We were told that it was going to have a crispy skin. It was very flabby. The sweet potato mash was good (nothing to write home about, but not bad either). My husband's grouper fish was a joke on so many levels. The fish was incredibly thin, dry, overcooked and the breading on it as thick as the fish and peeling off. The honey Worcestershire sauce must have been mostly honey as it was cloyingly sweet. I don't particularly like my savory dishes to be sweet, so I'm not the best judge, however my husband who does like sweet things felt like he was eating a dessert. We had wanted to get some wine to go with our meal, but as they were in control of the pacing(not giving us 5 minutes between appetizers and mains) the server never had time to come and see if we wanted anything else/how we were doing. At that point there was no way we would have been able ​to get our wine in time to enjoy with the mains. As the dishes don't come with sides (or anything green), we ordered parmagean asparagus and what was supposed to be roasted portobellos with "gremolata" on top. The asparagus were fine although not that flavourful, but the mushrooms were truly wet, flavourless slices with what I think was supposed to be a bit of soggy breadcrumbs on top? No gremolata to be had. It's possible that the experience would have been different if we hadn't gone during the week, but some of it was just the recipes and how the restaurant itself is set up. For the price point it was extremely disappointing (it would have been disappointing even if it wasn't in the higher price point, but that just added to the pain). read more

This place came very highly recommended by our friend but we were super disappointed in this meal. Grouper "Sliders" a small piece of fried fish on a bun cut into four slices (definitely not sliders). Two of the four sliders did not have a single bite of fish; just all bun with lettuce and tomatoes. The two flatbreads were very dry with very minimal toppings and fell apart when picking them up off the plate. We got 3 drinks total: a carafe of Ned - Sauvignon Blanc, a pear/ elder flower martini, and one bottle of beach blonde 30a. The beer and wine were both good and not too overly priced as it was happy hour but the martini was not great as it was overloaded with the elderflower taste. We were sat right next to the fire exit and were so close to another table that we couldn't move and my chair was up against the emergency exit the entire time. I will say, our server was very overwhelmed as he advised us they had given him more tables than he normally had but he was fantastic. He was very attentive and checked in on us regularly. Though the service was great, the food was just subpar and not worth the high price. In our short trip this week, we have been to a different restaurant each night and this was by far our least favorite. We really enjoyed the Shades across the street and loved Stinky's further down on 30a. read more

We had a huge party, and not only did he go above and beyond for us but he was helping other servers at the same time. Went to Cuvee 30A for my fiancee's birthday in December. Booked the Chef's table and it was a huge mistake. Overpriced and the actual Chef ignored us. The only interaction was at the wine cellar, when he asked us to move so he could grab a bottle of wine for his own dinner. He soon left without any acknowledgment. The Chef's table is expensive alone and unknown to us, instead of actual wine pairings, Cuvee30A forces you to buy bottles of wine at your own selection with a minimum of $300. No mention of this when making a reservation or on their website. Service was poor as our hostess had multiple tables and the restaurant was busy for the holidays. We politely asked for no cheese due to an allergy but every dish that was with cheese had cheese on it. After the first time, one would have taken pride in their work and not include cheese but that was not the case. Our hostess apologized after each mistake but the kitchen couldn't care less since they refused to alter their dishes. Terrible. The actual food was mixes with some good and some not so good. The first three courses were good but the last two entrees were not. After spending three hours, we decided we had enough and took the dessert home. I would avoid paying the price and spend your money at another restaurant on 30A that cares about their quality and service. read more

Why this restaurant has only 3.5 stars is a mystery to me. It's by far the nicest place in the area. If you want a nice place to have a classy dinner with outstanding service and fantastic food, then this is your place. Let's break it down: Atmosphere: 5 stars. We had a very pleasant table outside on the patio. The evening was perfect, the furniture very comfortable. Sometimes you give up comfort by sitting outside. Kudos to the owner for not going cheap on outside furniture. Service: 5 stars. If I could rate this a six, I would. Our server, bill, was simply fantastic. He provided great recommendations, handled our 3 year old perfectly and gave is perfect attention. Food: 5 stars. Oh my. Everything our party of 6 ordered was amazing. I had the pecan crusted grouper. My son had the duck. There was no issue. All was creative and perfectly cooked with great flavors. Price: 5 stars. Impeccable food and service! We had a party of 8 and were treated like royalty. Ask for a tour of the wine cellar. The open kitchen functions like somewhat of a machine. Quiet, systematic and well oiled. The scallop appetizer is to die for! The salad choices ingenious. Entrees are by far the best in the part of Florida possibly in the country. Wow! What an incredible dinner experience. I have been here many times but I brought a friend for her first visit. Such a great evening!! First of all, I want to give personal thanks to Phillip for being a wonderfully attentive server. He was funny and charming. He had us giggling when my friend asked his opinion between two entrees and he had her convinced to just get both. Our meal was so delicious, starting with the parmesan oil dip for the house made Italian bread and ending with another round of drinks. We just couldn't make it to dessert but it looked tempting!! As a regular , resident (for 4 yrs), disappointed with the new happy hour policy, bad biz. You can get happy hour pricing if you can find a seat at the bar (until 6:30pm) , but if you sit 3 feet away at a high top, you have only til 4:45pm to be seated or you get to pay double for the same food... Drinks? Short pours, martinis are an inch from the top... BREAD? Dry/and rationed out...MUSIC? Same guy , every night . Is he the only musician in Inlet Beach??? Good happy hours' condition the customers to come back and enjoy the full menu selections also....Short sighted business decision. We have been traveling to the Emerald Coast for 20 years and the experience we had here was by far the worst. We are very easy going, friendly, non complaining people who always find something to appreciate, but it was difficult during my wife's birthday dinner here. Timelines: We were seated right away with our early reservation then promptly ignored for the next 10 minutes. No menus. No water. No acknowledgement. We finally got menus and a bottle of water then waited another 15 minutes for any further contact as we say there with our menus closed. We had a great time talking together but were astonished at slow the service was especially before the evening rush. We looked around and weren't too alarmed at this point since everyone else was in the same boat. We joked that it felt like we were in France. Service: Quite honestly, after we interacted with our waiter a little more (and as I have read other reviews) we determined he was the culprit for everything. This also says something about the culture or absenteeism of the owner or someone who cares. Really poor attitude. Slovenly, stringy, inappropriate facial hair. Plopped down everything on the table with barely a word. When he did speak, his Asian accent was so strong we barely understood a word he said. His overall persona made us feel like every interaction was a complete bother. We were kind to him in the few appearances at our table, but this guy is personally responsible for my taking the time to leave this review as I can see he is also responsible for many other low reviews as well. The owner would be prudent to let this guy go. A breakfast cafe is where you might expect a waiter like this not at a fine dining establishment. Portion Size: My wife and I are not big people and are not big eaters but I left there still hungry after 1 tiny peice of complimentary bread and olive oil/herbs, a salad that would fit on a saucer, and the main entree, seared tuna, which 4 slices about the size of a thick band-aid. My wife's main entree was the pecan grouper which she shared with me because it was closer to a normal portion. Food Quality: The taste of the food was good to me (my wife thought her grouper was bland) after it finally came out and was almost dropped on the table, but the whole experience was tarnished by the other factors. Pricing: We live in Dallas and are familiar with many fine dining restaurants and have always felt that we could expect to pay slightly more on 30A due to the beach location. Our meal for two cost a little more than $150. This is way overpriced for the atmosphere, the quality of the wait staff, the efficiency of the restaurant and even if all of these things were excellent, the portion and quality is the food does not command these prices. I would pass on this place. There are so many other amazing places to eat on 30A. My prediction is this review won't matter after another season as this place will be gone. read more

We sat at the Chef's table last night for my wife's birthday. A wonderful experience for us. You select 9 different dishes and they are paired with wine. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Every dish was excellent along with the wine. The service was impeccable. Sitting in the kitchen of a top-notch restaurant is a great experience. We are local 30A residents and have patronized your restaurant on a number of occasions - each was a delightful experience.  This evening, we had a good meal.  Our server, Steven, was fantastic.  Tonight, our young daughter was in the mood for some pasta Alfredo from the kids' menu; however, she asked if it would be possible to add shrimp to her meal. We were told she could get two or three pieces and opted for the latter. We expected there to be an upcharge; however, when we got our bill and saw a $14.25 charge for the 'habanero shrimp', we thought it was a mistake. When we asked our server about it, he told us that was how he was instructed to account for the three additional shrimp added to our child's meal. When management was informed that we thought this was excessive, they were indifferent. NOBODY aside from Steven discussed the matter with us.
