We are very satisfied with Custom Exchange Inc. I had read the reviews here at yelp regarding this company and other window contractors, I called Michael and 2 other contractors to do the estimate. We have 6 windows and 2 patio doors to replace ( all from single panel to dual panels). Custom Exchange is the first one called back and scheduled the appointment. Michael did a great job and gave a reasonable price. Even though I still had 2 more contractors to scheduled for the estimate, due to the fact that reasonable price and very good reviews with Custom Exchange, I decided to cancel the other 2 appointments with other contractors, and signed contract with CSI directly to save me some time. I am happy with this decision. The following installation is done quickly, smoothly and professionally, the new windows and doors are great. Robert did a very good job and considered every details during installation, it took him 2 days to finish the job ( we have 2 windows to enlarge to follow the new construction code), and we could not be happier with the new windows and doors. 2 thumbs up. read more

we live in an older house that had those old crank open metal framed windows. Definitely not energy efficient in winter or summer! There are so many contractors out there and you really don't know who to talk to! I thought I would check Yelp and came across the reviews for Custom Exchange Windows. The Five Star reviews and comments clinched the deal for me. I too was very impressed with Michael and Robert, the man who did the actual installation. Craftsmanship and attention to detail were apparent from the time Michael came to measure our windows to the excellent (and very efficient) Robert did in replacing 9 windows in our house! We love the windows! It is cooler and since two of the windows are now clear glass instead of that frosted glaze, we have a view of some trees that look almost like they have been framed in a picture! Good barbers, good auto mechanics, and a contractor that shows up exactly when he says he will are very rare! I would definitely recommend Custom Exchange windows to anyone who asked! read more

I have been a Realtor for 30 years. Over that time vendors come and go and it gets very clear very soon who are the TRUE professionals. I am so delighted with Custom Exchange and Michael Kuron the owner.I work on many trust sales and probate sales where funds are limited. All the way up to high end homes needing new windows to make the sale!!! Not only are the windows BEAUTIFUL and good quality even at the lower end, but Mike ALWAYS gets back to me quickly with an email or phone call when I need him for a quote or an update. His prices for the quality of windows he has can NOT be beat. To have a real professional combined with an excellent product you can't beat that! Try Mike before anyone else. His windows are retro fit. Don't ruin your stucco with those other cheesy windows. Mike will give you references of properties he's done for you to drive by too. Thanks Mike for being my #1 source for windows both personally, fixing up homes to sell and referring you to friends and family. You are simply THE BEST!! read more

We wanted to replace our old windows and were looking in market. We called Sears/Brother's but their quote was very high. Then a Google search for "double-pane glass window San jose" brought me to Custom Exchange: $299 per window, installed. I called Michael was friendly on the phone, and we made an appointment. He quickly wrote an estimate--$299 per window, any size, no tricks or traps. I added grids to mimic the look of the old windows which are needed to make association happy, so I paid $350 per window. It took around 2 weeks for the windows to be made and then Michael call us. Robert showed up to install them. He worked very hard and efficiently, was polite, clean and didn't make a huge mess. He installed all 8 windows in 4-6 hrs. Every window was perfectly installed and works just right. The windows are from "Alside" which are the same ones Sears uses. They are also lifetime (!) warrantied. With new windows we see great difference in heat/cold/noise . Thanks, Michael and Robert. read more

We got new dual pane window retrofit installed by Custom Exchange a few month ago. I really like the quality of the windows which were a great deal. Per our townhouse CC&R the window trim has to be almond color and have to be installed by professional installers. Shopping around we found custom exchange to have the best prices that met our needs. We initially though of getting the cheapest quality windows since we are looking at upgrading our place and moving out, but for very little extra money upgraded for great windows E3 - super spacer and are thrilled with how much quieter and better insulated our townhouse got. [Might as well enjoy the place for a few extra month]. Mike and his crew were very professional and the installation went through without any problem in less than 4 hours! [5 windows and one patio door]. You could tell the installers are very experienced and well organized. They worked quickly and cleanly. I will go back to them next time I have new windows to install. read more

Michal and the crew at Custom Exchange Window Inc. were awesome.  First, Michal came for the bid.  He was on time and a straight shooter.  He did not try to sell me a product, instead he listened to what I wanted and made recommendations accordingly.  After three other bids Michal was by far the most competitive.  We ordered the windows and they came in on time as Michal had predicted.  I had seven windows, a sliding glass door, and french doors installed in one day.  The workmen were ontime, respectful, and very professional.  I also liked that they cleaned up as best they could after the job.  The only hitch was that one window arrived from the shipping process broken.  Michal said that he would reorder and have the window installed the following week.  Sure enough the window was installed the next week just as Michal had said.  I could not be happier with the final product or the crew at Custom Exchange Windows Inc! read more

As the owner of a "fixer" house with tons of ongoing projects, I am constantly chasing down contractors. This was not at all the case with Michael at Custom Exchange. He was very quick to come out and bid the project, I got prices right away and as soon as I placed my order I was given an accurate time frame of when I could expect my windows. As the date approached, Michael called to say the windows were in, we scheduled the job a couple of days later and everything was installed quickly and cleanly. The prices are great and I can honestly say that replacing the windows is a great investment. Our heating bill over the winter has gone down significantly and the temperature throughout the house is even and comfortable. I really love my new windows and it was very easy working with Michael and Custom exchange. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends. read more

I couldn't be happier with the experience I had with Custom Exchange Windows! From start to finish, they exceeded my expectations in every way. First, their punctuality was impressive. They arrived right on time and worked efficiently throughout the entire installation process. Second, their communication was excellent. They were very clear about every step of the process, from the initial consultation to the final installation. I always felt informed and confident about what to expect. Lastly, the price was the cherry on top. I shopped around, and Custom Exchange Windows offered incredible value for money. The windows look amazing, and I've already noticed a difference in how much more comfortable my home feels. I would recommend Custom Exchange Windows to anyone looking for quality work and great customer service. read more

Michal and his team were great. When we contacted him, Michal came out within a few days to take measurements and provide a quote. During his visit he was efficient and up front about both costs and expected lead time. Michal was also very responsive answering additional questions after his visit. Once ordered, our windows were received from the manufacturer within a week of when Michal predicted, and installation was scheduled the same week. Replacement of 11 windows and a custom, extra large sliding door was completed by a team of two in just one day. They arrived on time and worked tidily and efficiently. We love our new windows and would recommend Custom Exchange to anybody looking for new windows in the area. read more

Recently, my tentans were complaining about the gap between these old single pane windows, and i was looking for a more energy save dual pane which would keep the house from leaking the heat. Seaching on the web, and got quote from the local stores. After I got the quote from Custom Exchange, it was way cheaper from the local stores and HD. I went ahead with the ordering, took 2 weeks and only 1 day to install. Now i have no more leaking windows, and the house look much better. Its definitely a good investment for my rental property. I would very much recommend to anyone, CustomExchange has quick service, good communications, and great prices. I give them five stars. read more

I'm very satisfied with the job Custom Exchange did retrofitting the windows in my house. The best price with superior quality and short delivery time! Now I have a well insulated house with new look, way better than it was with the original windows. I'd like to mention that the installer did a perfect job not only with the windows fit, but also keeping all walls and furniture intact. At the end of the day one wouldn't be able to say that any construction work was performed in the house. It was so clean and neat inside and out! I'd gladly recommend Custom Exchange and wouldn't hesitate, even for a moment, to hire them for my next home improvement project. read more

Choosing Custom Exchange to install our new windows was a delightful experience. Michael Kuran came out on a Sat., measured our windows and got back to us with in a few days w/ an affordable, in the ball park estimate. Love our new windows and the workers were so methodical about their procedures. Very proffessional. Never late w/ a phone call or showing up to work. The difference in our home environment regarding the air is remarkable. We open our windows just because we can. They are energy refreshing and would not hesitate to give out info regarding Custom Exchange Windows. We had 11 windows and a slider replaced in less then half a day. read more

Custom Exchange Windows have very competitive pricing, and are quick and efficient throughout the process. Michael came to the house on time for the free consultation/estimate and we signed with him that day. The ordered windows arrived in a couple of weeks and we quickly scheduled for the installation. We are very pleased with the quality of the windows and Robert's installation, and appreciated how he kept everything neat and clean as he worked. For 8 windows replacement, he started after 8am and finished by 3pm. I would definitely recommend using Custom Exchange Windows if you're in need of window replacements. read more

We had our windows replaced with Mike and it is one of the best experience we had in home remodelling in last 15 years. Everything was done perfectly right. Installation was done for all 10 windows in one day and all payment was taken only at the end of the job. I had recommended to one other neighbor who got the job done at the same time and he was very happy with similar experience.t w Mike has done a job a year or so back and that is where i got the reference from. I went with Simonton daylight max with sound option as i was close to main street and that is helping. This job was done in North fremont. Thanks Mike read more

I love the windows CustomExchange installed in my home. Michael came to my house ON TIME, and wrote an estimate 1000$ Less than any other company. Within two weeks which Michael promised) my windows were ready. Robert came my house 4 days later on time, and installed 5 windoows in about 4 hours. Robert, took his time with installation, and gave me tips on how to care for my windows.I've had my windows for two weeks. The outside noise has been cut in half and no more cold nights keepin me awake. I would use Custom exchange for future projects. Michael and aRobert are a credit to their proffession....amazing! read more

Michael and Robert were very professional with their work and I love the new windows. We did run into some problems at first and took a bit longer to completely replace every window. Nevertheless, the overall work quality and effort was there and I would recommend Custom Exchange Window to anyone for new windows. On a sub-note, I do not know if the windows are suppose to be low profile or something but I find that tiny handle on the side of the window hard to use, which is the only way to open the window. The design probably looks sleeker, but it definitely loses points on practicality. read more

Finally I decided to change our windows. I did a lot of research and compared the price between several windows installation companies, Custom Exchange eventually beat all of the others. Michal gave me the fair quote and he is very professional on measure. The windows are ready in three weeks and the size is perfect. Robert was sent to my home to install the windows for me. He is surprised me. I can't believe a man can do his job so conscientiously. He finished all six windows in four hours and cleaned everything very well. I really like this experience. Highly recommend Custom Exchange! read more

Replaced 34 year old windows with modern double-pane vinyl. Got a few price quotes, one for $18,000, another was $12,000 and finally Michael's which was a little over $6,000. It was basically a no-brainer! Work was done quickly and right on schedule. Clean, efficient, professional work. We are very pleased with the results. The windows look like a million bucks and has certainly added to the home's curb appeal. The house is quiet and the temperature stays constant. This has to be the best deal in double-pane windows in the entire Bay Area! You can't go wrong with this company. read more

I had been searching and searching for someone to replace my 7 windows and my patio door. I found Michal on Yelp. I had called him and even though the Tracy area is not where he normally does business he was kind enough to still come out and take care of me. Before installation Michal called and let me know what I needed to do to prepare and what time they would be here. 2 people showed up right on time and finished the job in one day, they were very professional and clean. My windows and door are amazing I am so happy with their service. I would recommend him to all my friends!!! read more
