After months and months of dealing with incompetent contractors and a completely destroyed bathroom, Aviv and Eladio came in and saved my ass from remodeling hell. We first contracted them for an extension project for a SFH in San Jose. The initial visit was nice, warm and welcoming, with very constructive and pragmatic suggestions on what to fix and what not to fix, what to add and what not to add. The quotation was a detailed list of items of everything we covered. They pretty much got 100% of the details that I requested during visit. They have an in-house architect who iterated with us on the design. We talked with the architect over 3 weeks through a few hour-long video calls, where he would show us the plans and move things around to visualize the whole thing. They would also provide 3D rendering of the whole thing, so that we can get a perspective of how things would feel spatially. That's pretty much all we have to provide for the design phase. They would handle all the permitting and such. Eventually we come to realize the permitting process would take several months for San Jose. So we asked if we can just remodel the bathroom right now and move in while we wait for the permit. So this bathroom remodeling mini project also went smooth. They gave us a spreadsheet of stuff we need to buy ourselves (basically all finishing stuff, like tiles, toilet, bathroom hardware etc.) They also visit Home and Decor with us, giving us suggestions of what's good deal and what's bad deal, what's good material and what's bad material. As a first time remodeling experience, we find the process very well supported. I'm a weekend woodworker so I said I want to make my own bathroom vanity. He offered numerous help and suggestions throughout, and have their team installed our hand made vanity pretty much flawlessly. They're very friendly and supportive to this customization, without the rigid processes/rules you'd expect from an established company. As they were installing the toilet they also found a very hidden defect in the toilet bowl itself, and they took the toilet out to let us exchange for a new one, all without additional cost. They matched our existing wall texture - but we actually hated that existing style. We asked if they can re-do it with another style that we like, and they also did it for free. Soon after we finished the bathroom and moved in, we found a couple of items in our home that needed fixing - some overlapping with the bigger extension project we were about to take, and some were totally unrelated. They also helped us take care of all of them for free. It felt so great that they'll be there giving advice and actually fixing things when we need to - a major reassurance for us first time SFH owners. Overall, they accommodated all of our requests (and mistakes) without charging us anything extra from the original quote. The quality of their work was also very high - nothing that I could pick on. And when we found certain things not right, they would fix it within 1-2 days. What impressed me the most was the extra miles they go in terms of minor fixes and help. My contact person was Aviv and I'm really pleased with his service. He's responsive all the time and pretty much answered every single questions that we raised. I would definitely recommend them, especially to those new homeowners who may not know all the details about the whole process. Aviv and Jesus did a great job with my renovation. They ended up updating my three bathrooms, finishing the garage, rearranging the closet configuration, removing a soffit, putting in recessed lights, replacing two beams, and putting in new flooring. We were on a hard deadline of three months and they pulled it off. Every time I went over to the house they were working on it - not something that is guaranteed with Bay Area contractors being notorious for juggling projects. Aviv helped walk me through the design choices I had to make and even went to Home Depot with me to help out. Jesus did a great job explaining what they were doing and asking questions to make sure I got what I wanted. Is everything exactly perfect? No, of course not, but it's just little stuff. For example, some corners aren't a perfect 90 degrees and they had a tough time matching the texture on the new dry wall to the existing texture, things like that. But when the ceiling paint in my bathroom started peeling Jesus came out free of charge to correct it. The most important takeaway of my review is this: I had no problems working with them and I would definitely hire them again the next time I do work on the house. read more

We hired rosegold builders to remodel our bathroom. We looked for months to find the right contractor that was comfortable working with plaster because we wanted a plaster shower. Not a lot of contractors knew anything about plaster when we had different company's come out. Aviv knew exactly what he was talking about and we felt very comfortable with him. Their plaster guys did such a good job on our walls I will attach some photos of the work they did. Over all we are so happy with their work and communication. We just had a wonderful experience working with Aviv on an extension project. Our goal is to convert our 2-car carport to a garage and 1b1b. We initially worked with another designer but then their site plan was failed by the city. It was frustrating and we almost gave up the idea. But Aviv came to the rescue, he came up with a better plan which perfectly matches our goal. Aviv also managed to fit in a WIP in the new bedroom which we were told to be not feasible by the first designer. We also wanted to convert a part of the patio area to living room space, and we were told by the first designer that we need to replace all wooden floors in the house. But Aviv managed to match the existing floor and saved us tons of trouble. It is usually very hard to work with Palo Alto city to get the permit, but Aviv worked really hard and made it happen. Aviv is very good at communicating and his team iterated quickly to get it done. As we are very happy with Aviv's team for the design, we decided to continue to work with them on the construction. During the process, there were several unexpected issues and Aviv handled them extremely well. The issues we had were like: the city asked us to upgrade the gas which we didn't expect in the first place, or that some pipes were found to have issues when we worked on the foundation. Aviv kindly covered these unexpected costs for us, we were deeply moved by his pursuit of customer experience. Another example is the garage door, the company made a mistake by starting to make a different model of door which is more expensive than the one we had in mind, Aviv coordinated between us and the manufacturer, he even covered the a large part of the difference in cost by himself to make things work which we deeply appreciated. Aviv pays a lot of attention to detail, he talked to all the local vendors trying to find the matching window, which was really hard because it is an Canadian company who makes these windows. When picking materials, he gave professional suggestions and helped us find the most suitable ones to fit our needs. One important thing to us is how to have the construction at the same time as we are living in the house, especially that we have a new born baby. Being super understanding and considerate, Aviv made the best arrangement to reduce the impact to our life, such as he found the non-toxic painting to use in the house. Aviv is very responsive and on top of everything so that we can sit aside. We had a great time working to Aviv on this project. The whole process was very smooth and we never thought it could be so easy to make things done when we firstly come up with the extension idea as a newbie.
