Frank came out to sell the job and was kind and patient answering our questions. He is knowledgeable, honest and fair. We were pleased to have Javier and Nestor work on our replacement windows and they did an amazing job. Everything went smooth, they were careful and mindful of everything from dust control to the plants in their way. Our experience was nothing less than great! We'd be happy to endorse the team; definitely consider giving them a call for your home construction needs. The new windows are an incredible upgrade and we wish we'd have done it sooner. The Simonton windows that Rosegold recommended came out looking great. Four windows were done in one day. And the price was competitive.

It was a pleasure working with the team! Frank answered all my questions and took time to explain and make suggestions. His quote included everything I needed to provide to my HOA so it was one less thing to worry about. I love having Javier and Nestor come and install the windows! They did such a great job- they worked fast and efficiently. Best of all, they treated my house like it was theirs and left it clean. Will not hesitate to recommend them. read more

We recently had the extreme pleasure of working with Rosegold Windows to get all of our many windows retrofitted. From start to finish, the process was flawless with clear-cut pricing up front, on-time delivery, and efficient installation working around our crazy schedule at that time. Frank was great to work with in providing us with all the necessary information and recommendations to make the best decisions possible in our window selections. Javier and Nestor installed all of our windows faster than anticipated. Their expertise and efficiency were quite remarkable. On top of that, they were always so pleasant and accommodating. If you are contemplating getting windows replaced, look no further than Rosegold. Our new windows make the biggest difference to the look and feel of our home (now seems cooler inside). It's amazing how new windows can make you feel so happy! read more

Absolute super stars! Frank, Javier, Nestor, and Aiden all did a fantastic job. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Communication from Frank before, during, and after the project was great. I had 12 windows +1 patio door replaced. They all came out great. I spoke with 2 other vendors but felt most comfortable with Rosegold Builders and I am so happy with my decision to work with them and the results delivered. I wish I had a second house to do another 12 windows, as I would not hesitate to hire them again. read more

====Update==== Rosegold helped me replaced windows in May. They've done an excellent job and I am still satisfied after having the new windows installed for months. I also like the satin nickel locks that Frank recommended. The project is worth every penny spent and a huge improvement to my house. ====Previous Review==== Rosegold recently replaced 23 windows in my house. My overall experience was excellent. Consultation & Quote: 5 Stars I interviewed 9 vendors with a yelp score of 4.5+. Among all of them, Frank from Rosegold is the only one who discussed the window designs to upgrade the look and think from user perspective. The quote is in the mid-range and very reasonable. Compared to other quotes I received, Rosegold's quote is very detailed (The specs for every window, left/right, screen are listed on the quote) Manufacturing and Project time: 5 Stars I quoted Simoton windows, and they came with great quality. The manufacturing time is about 2.5 weeks and installation started immediately the day windows were received. The other quotes I had took from 4 to 8 weeks. Some other brands like Anlin would take 3 months. Installation: 5 Stars Two professionals (father & son with 30+ years of experience) came to install 23 windows. It took a total of 3 days, more time was spent on a patio door as it needed to add extra vinyl and wood frames (covered by quote). The installation came in great quality. They use high end quad caulk, sealing both inner and outer sides. The end results looked beautiful as well. They also cleaned the area before (vacuum) and after (vacuum + wipe) installing the window. They also let you pick the style for patio door frames. read more

Great experience with Cody from the start. They showed up at my door literally minutes after leaving a message that I was interested in having windows done. Cody was very professional and detailed when measuring windows. The price quoted for my Simonton windows was a NO BRAINER compared to a quote from Renewal by Anderson of $10k for just my 2 dormer windows. With the competitive pricing I received from Cody I was also able to afford replacing my 2 lower bay windows as well. The installation of windows was completed in a day. The crew was also very professional. They covered areas and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. My wife and I are very happy and LOVE the NEW WINDOWS!! I will have "NO HESITATION" recommending Cody from Rosegold to any of my family, friends or neighbors. read more

Very responsive to quote request. Came out right away to review our needs and provide an estimate. Competitive pricing.

Great Experience! Frank and Cody came over to provide a quote to replace my windows and doors with retrofit double pains. They were very knowledgeable and provided a reasonable quote. Being an handyman myself, I'm very pleased with there service and quality of work. Thank You Team Rosegold Builders. read more

Frank had the most competitive estimate and worked to time and cost. Very good to work with. Highly recommend.

The company did a fantastic job from the beginning to the end. First, Frank explained the difference between brands, glass thickness, and what is good vs what is a lousy job installation job. Then, he measured everything twice. The quote was quite reasonable, and the order & installation were very quick. In no time had I new windows installed. It's been several weeks, and I haven't seen any problems. All windows operate smoothly and look great from both inside and outside. Highly recommended! read more

There was leakage in our double pane windows. They looked milky, cloudy and dirty, but we couldn't clean in between the panes. We interviewed a number of window companies None were as good as Frank at Rosegold Builders. He came out to our house, was very polite and professional, measured 7 windows and sent us a proposal that night! Because the other estimators did not respond for weeks, we accepted Frank's proposal right away. We wanted our windows in before winter storms! The windows were delivered in 4 weeks! Javier and his son, Nestor, worked seamlessly. They were very organized and neat and they respected homeowner and property. The windows were perfectly installed and look beautiful!!! When Javier and Nestor were done, they cleaned up, and not a speck of dirt or debris was left behind. The job was done in one day and a half, and they returned the next working day to pick up the old windows for disposal as promised! We are so happy with our new windows!!! read more

TLDR; Simply amazing. Detail oriented, will get you great deals, and the finished product is better than anything you've seen on your favorite home improvement channel. We interviewed seven (yes, 7) different local builders/contractors for our massive remodeling project and my wife and I both agreed we wanted to go with Rosegold Builders at the end. From the prompt communications to an honest bid by them, we knew it had to be them. We did a full (envision the whole place gutted) 5br/3br single family home fixer upper remodel in the height of Covid when the city building division was shutdown and permits were scarce. Aviv navigated us through unprecedented times and the end result was simply breathtaking. Everyone who sees our place now is asking us one question "So who did this?" Rosegold Builders (and especially Aviv) work very hard to deliver results according to your exact specification/requests. They go shopping for materials with you to make sure you are getting the best deal and their input is highly up to date with today's designs and looks. From shopping for appliances, bathroom hardware, kitchen cabinets, lighting, flooring, tiles, etc Aviv was there accompanying us. Several times they found issues behind the walls (dealing with a fixer upper of course) and they just fixed them at no additional cost to us which was always a welcomed. Rosegold Builders do NOT cut corners. They will do it right and they will do it amazing or it's not their work. There is a reason they want to do work with permits because they know they will get it right. I wish we had other remodeling work so we could hire them again, but they already did everything we had wanted and the some. read more

I'm not one to go out of my way to write reviews but after dealing with Rosegold builders I feel inclined to give these guys a review. After months and months of dealing with incompetent contractors and a completely destroyed bathroom, Aviv and Eladio came in and saved my ass from remodeling hell. They remodeled my kitchen and bathroom which had been completely upended and left in pieces by the previous workers who did not know what they were doing. Not only did they finish what had been started, but they added a completely new finish to the counters and kitchen island which I didn't even pay for. Will be doing the master bedroom next. Everything was done efficiently, fairly priced, and the finished product is beautiful: see pics attached. Highly recommend read more

We hired RoseGold Builders to build our new home from the ground up. Aviv was with us from the very beginning, guiding us throughout making decisions for our new design layout, choosing all finishes and completing the actual construction phase of our project. The project took a long time and so we have been dealing with Aviv for a while and absolutely love his attention to all of our questions and concerns. Appreciate his professionalism and couldn't imagine working with anyone else. Thank you for making our experience a great one!! Highly recommend! read more

We first contracted them for an extension project for a SFH in San Jose. The initial visit was nice, warm and welcoming, with very constructive and pragmatic suggestions on what to fix and what not to fix, what to add and what not to add. The quotation was a detailed list of items of everything we covered. They pretty much got 100% of the details that I requested during visit. They have an in-house architect who iterated with us on the design. We talked with the architect over 3 weeks through a few hour-long video calls, where he would show us the plans and move things around to visualize the whole thing. They would also provide 3D rendering of the whole thing, so that we can get a perspective of how things would feel spatially. That's pretty much all we have to provide for the design phase. They would handle all the permitting and such. Eventually we come to realize the permitting process would take several months for San Jose. So we asked if we can just remodel the bathroom right now and move in while we wait for the permit. So this bathroom remodeling mini project also went smooth. They gave us a spreadsheet of stuff we need to buy ourselves (basically all finishing stuff, like tiles, toilet, bathroom hardware etc.) They also visit Home and Decor with us, giving us suggestions of what's good deal and what's bad deal, what's good material and what's bad material. As a first time remodeling experience, we find the process very well supported. I'm a weekend woodworker so I said I want to make my own bathroom vanity. He offered numerous help and suggestions throughout, and have their team installed our hand made vanity pretty much flawlessly. They're very friendly and supportive to this customization, without the rigid processes/rules you'd expect from an established company. As they were installing the toilet they also found a very hidden defect in the toilet bowl itself, and they took the toilet out to let us exchange for a new one, all without additional cost. They matched our existing wall texture - but we actually hated that existing style. We asked if they can re-do it with another style that we like, and they also did it for free. Soon after we finished the bathroom and moved in, we found a couple of items in our home that needed fixing - some overlapping with the bigger extension project we were about to take, and some were totally unrelated. They also helped us take care of all of them for free. It felt so great that they'll be there giving advice and actually fixing things when we need to - a major reassurance for us first time SFH owners. Overall, they accommodated all of our requests (and mistakes) without charging us anything extra from the original quote. The quality of their work was also very high - nothing that I could pick on. And when we found certain things not right, they would fix it within 1-2 days. What impressed me the most was the extra miles they go in terms of minor fixes and help. My contact person was Aviv and I'm really pleased with his service. He's responsive all the time and pretty much answered every single questions that we raised. I would definitely recommend them, especially to those new homeowners who may not know all the details about the whole process. They're friendly, reliable, transparent and easy to work with, while providing lots of guidance throughout. I'll update this once I finish the bigger extension project! read more

Very friendly over the phone and gives brought estimates for windows. Easy to talk to!

Rosegold Builders was amazing to work with and came highly recommended from friends who used them for a remodel. After an initial consultation it was apparent that Aviv knew what we were looking for a truly saw our vision. In fact, I handed him a sketch of what we wanted and it felt like we immediately synced on what the finished product would be. Aviv was also instrumental in navigating city planning and inspections escalating specific items to getting approvals from key people to move the project forward. Throughout, Aviv did a good job of staging on top of things even when I traveled extensively for work and could easily explain my vision to his team. The space came out better than expected with no delays on the part of Aviv or his team. I will definitely be calling Aviv in the future for any home projects! read more

I had my master bathroom remodeled by rosegold builders and had a great experience! I couldn't have asked for a more professional and respectful team. When I first met with Aviv he was very detail oriented, which is why I chose to go with him in the first place. I wanted my master bathroom to be refreshing and somewhere that I enjoy walking into every morning and he helped me accomplish that! The hardest part of this project was choosing the materials, I had so many different ideas in mind going in, but Aviv really helped me with my tile decisions which I am grateful for!! (Otherwise I would still be stuck at the material choosing phase!!) I am really happy with how everything turned out, and grateful for the whole teams patience and attention to detail. Highly recommend going with Aviv and his crew! 10 stars! read more

I recently had all my windows replaced by Rosegold Builders, and I am so pleased with how much it improved the look of my home. Frank has a great eye for what would look good, and his estimate was so reasonable. Javier and Nestor did a terrific job with the installation, very professional and tidy. The windows Frank recommended not only look great, but I'm amazed at what great insulation they provide. During that awful hot spell we had in San Jose over the summer, the house stayed so much cooler than it used to. And when the temperature dipped recently, my house stayed quite comfy. Frank and his crew totally deserved a 5-star rating! read more

We had such a great experience designing our new home with Rosegold Builders. We appreciate their attention to detail and clever design ideas, it really pulled our home together. We love how everything turned out and we want to give a special 'thank you' to our project manager, Nestor, for working with us for the past 6 months! We've appreciated his patience and insights. We have definitely learned a lot about construction along the way. There were, as with everything, some ups and downs, but it was very nice having someone like Nestor to talk us through it all. We love our new space. It's so refreshing to walk into a home and know that it looks exactly how you envisioned it. We highly recommend Rosegold Builders! read more

Aviv and Jesus did a great job with my renovation. They ended up updating my three bathrooms, finishing the garage, rearranging the closet configuration, removing a soffit, putting in recessed lights, replacing two beams, and putting in new flooring. We were on a hard deadline of three months and they pulled it off. Every time I went over to the house they were working on it - not something that is guaranteed with Bay Area contractors being notorious for juggling projects. Aviv helped walk me through the design choices I had to make and even went to Home Depot with me to help out. Jesus did a great job explaining what they were doing and asking questions to make sure I got what I wanted. Is everything exactly perfect? No, of course not, but it's just little stuff. For example, some corners aren't a perfect 90 degrees and they had a tough time matching the texture on the new dry wall to the existing texture, things like that. But when the ceiling paint in my bathroom started peeling Jesus came out free of charge to correct it. The most important takeaway of my review is this: I had no problems working with them and I would definitely hire them again the next time I do work on the house. read more

We hired rosegold builders to remodel our bathroom. We looked for months to find the right contractor that was comfortable working with plaster because we wanted a plaster shower. Not a lot of contractors knew anything about plaster when we had different company's come out. Aviv knew exactly what he was talking about and we felt very comfortable with him. Their plaster guys did such a good job on our walls I will attach some photos of the work they did. Over all we are so happy with their work and communication. Everyone we have come check out our new bathrooms are blown away. I have never seen anyone else do plaster bathroom walls. We love doing things around our house that we don't see. I want to touch a little on their crew. The guys came everyday at 8am and cleaned every well at the end of everyday.. they worked hard and loved seeing Aviv buy the guys lunch almost everyday. Aviv is really a great guy who cares about his guys and clients. Thanks again Aviv you made our experience so great read more

Highly recommend Rosegold Builders and especially Aviv! We worked with Aviv on two projects for our home - a fireplace removal and a master bathroom remodel. Aviv is detail oriented, gives a fair quote, and has a "get it done right" attitude - a true pleasure to work with him. We just had a wonderful experience working with Aviv on an extension project. Our goal is to convert our 2-car carport to a garage and 1b1b. We initially worked with another designer but then their site plan was failed by the city. It was frustrating and we almost gave up the idea. But Aviv came to the rescue, he came up with a better plan which perfectly matches our goal. Aviv also managed to fit in a WIP in the new bedroom which we were told to be not feasible by the first designer. We also wanted to convert a part of the patio area to living room space, and we were told by the first designer that we need to replace all wooden floors in the house. But Aviv managed to match the existing floor and saved us tons of trouble. It is usually very hard to work with Palo Alto city to get the permit, but Aviv worked really hard and made it happen. Aviv is very good at communicating and his team iterated quickly to get it done. As we are very happy with Aviv's team for the design, we decided to continue to work with them on the construction. During the process, there were several unexpected issues and Aviv handled them extremely well. The issues we had were like: the city asked us to upgrade the gas which we didn't expect in the first place, or that some pipes were found to have issues when we worked on the foundation. Aviv kindly covered these unexpected costs for us, we were deeply moved by his pursuit of customer experience. Another example is the garage door, the company made a mistake by starting to make a different model of door which is more expensive than the one we had in mind, Aviv coordinated between us and the manufacturer, he even covered the a large part of the difference in cost by himself to make things work which we deeply appreciated. Aviv pays a lot of attention to detail, he talked to all the local vendors trying to find the matching window, which was really hard because it is an Canadian company who makes these windows. When picking materials, he gave professional suggestions and helped us find the most suitable ones to fit our needs. One important thing to us is how to have the construction at the same time as we are living in the house, especially that we have a new born baby. Being super understanding and considerate, Aviv made the best arrangement to reduce the impact to our life, such as he found the non-toxic painting to use in the house. Aviv is very responsive and on top of everything so that we can sit aside. We had a great time working to Aviv on this project. The whole process was very smooth and we never thought it could be so easy to make things done when we firstly come up with the extension idea as a newbie. We won't hesitate to recommend Aviv to other people and will definitely work with him again in the future. read more
