Finally, we decided to do it and we started looking at doors in the neighborhood and asked folks about who installed their doors. We were surprised at how many of these folks had used Elegant Door & Window and were, obviously, very pleased with their work. They used to be located in Dublin but moved to San Ramon near the Brass Door. This is a small family-run business. Mary, the wife runs the office and Matt, her husband does the estimates and runs the crew that do the install work. We found Mary to be low-key but very helpful. We liked that she did not push us toward any specific products. She let us take our time in choosing the door of our choice. Everything went smoothly. We chose the doors (unfinished, solid wood, double doors) and Matt came out to check what we had and Mary sent us a quote by email and followed up to see if we had any questions. Later, we confirmed our choice on the door and after a few weeks, Mary called to tell us that our doors had arrived from the factory and proceeded to schedule out the job. The installation was quick and flawless. The workmanship is First Class and they were done in less than a full day. The fit was perfect and we were very very pleased. Too bad the company that we hired to paint the new doors was not as proficient and skilled. Our contractor sent us to Antigua Doors to meet with the owner Clay Ramsey. Over the course of several months we worked with Clay and his assistant Beth to get just the right look. They were both incredibly helpful, patient and more than generous with their time in educating us about the in and outs of pivot doors. Approximately 1 year after ordering (No delays on Antigua's part) the expert of all expert installers, Arturo and his assistants came to install the door. With the precision of surgeons, they installed the door and sidelights in one full day. The door is so finely balanced, that it moves with just one finger but when it shuts.... it's like Ft. Never knew about life time warranty until last month, one of the window cracked. We didn't have any receipt or anything, just an email we did 14 years ago. We just contacted the company on their website and amazingly, they have the record by the address. The service department was so helpful, they contacted us and contacted the manufacturer to set up appointment with the case number to get it replaced. The windows were replaced 14 years ago in one day and we had many custom sized windows. The amazing thing is they know exactly which window that cracked by us describing the location of the window. Anlin Delmar (Milgard) called us and setup the appointment. They came and replaced the windows in a few hours. It was amazing and we're extremely happy. Now we know, go with the best and reputable company like Custom Exteriors and a good manufacturer like Anlin Delmar to have after service years after the work is done.
