Horrible food! First off I walked into Sultan Curry and the place looked like it was about to close down, like permanently. Next I didnt see one Indian at all, that should have been my tip off. So I opened the menu and ordered a Mango Lassi, wow the first disappointment, small serving size, watered down and had ice cubes in it, not tasty at all. Then I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and it was bland, not spicy at all and i asked for medium to hot spice. I also ordered the Garlic Naan and it too was bland. I wont reccomend or come here again! Low rating has everything to do with bad service. It's a shame their food is so tasty, bc after the experience I had yesterday and the amount of money I paid for an incorrect delivery, only to have to go get the remaining portions myself, I will never take my business here again. The clown on the phone when I notified him that my order was only half delivered, said he will "personally deliver it," only to call me back again in 15 minutes and decide he cannot in fact deliver it because he's on a motorcycle and doesn't want to mess his hair up or whatever. We have ordered online from here a few times, only to have each experience be progressively worse, ending at this, an order that was over $60 of food and only half delivered. The food was supposed to be done 15-30 mins, when we arrived at 645, the food was not even started. Yes, you had two parties at the restaurant, but if we sat down at the restaurant, do you expect us to wait 45-1hr for our food? No. The cashier guy told us 10mins, it took more than that. I took off a bad review because you were right, it was unfair to give you one star. We do like your food but the way you reacted after we received our food, was a little too much. Of course when we got home, we did not get our order correct. You told us we got everything correct, but I assure you we did not. Please do not tell me, I got my order correctly. I know what I see, yes the receipt says otherwise but when I open the containers all I see is chicken, when it's supposed to be shrimp. The food is great but I probably won't be back. read more

Found this wonderful little highly rated spot on Yelp and was so glad me and my co-worker stopped in. We had the Vegetable Pakora and Garlic Naan for appetizer and they set the wonderful tone to follow. We then shared a Chicken Vindaloo dish along with a Chicken Tikka Wrap and both these plates were absolutely great! Went here instead of my usual because I was closer (ps- go to the curry house) and the place was very dirty, not a clean table to be seen. The owner was clearly out. A nonchalant hostess led us to a dirty table and went to get a rag to wipe it. When she came back eventually (over five minutes later) we asked her for some waters to start and you would have thought we were asking for her to go to the well, she was put out by our request and responded with "your server will be right with you" Eventually a guy did come but by now we were over twenty minutes into this show and were ready to go to our usual place, but being ever so optimistic I asked him for waters. What he brought back is best described as room temperature bleach water. We took one sip and immediately left. We love this place; I've only gotten delivery once before but the service was great. We've gotten takeout several times and the food is fantastic. It's so colorful and flavorful. The paneer is phenomenal. Everything always smells amazing. The first time we picked up our food, we thought the portions looked a little small, but we were wrong- the food is so filling and delicious; they pack a lot of meal into one little takeout container. Food quality was good here but the two young people were identified as new and in training, both by themselves and by the owner. Our appetizer was brought out without the sauce, as was my entree the lamb kebab. We requested each sauce, and each one was brought promptly. My wife's entree, butter chicken, was a good meal, and mine was tasty as well, once we got the sauce sorted. We ordered plain naan but I guess they don't serve that because they brought the one with the garlic on it. Our server started to take away our unfinished appetizer without asking. And when we were served our entrees, mine was placed in the center of the table. For my wife, there was a bowl of chicken in sauce, and a bowl of rice, but we had to request a spoon for serving. There was incense burning, and there was music playing, but not Indian or Mediterranean style music. Promptness of service was reasonable, not great but OK. We also noticed something surprising about the menu: none of the dishes is described as curry. My wife glanced over it and said "where's the curry?" Reading more carefully, several of the dishes are prepared in that style, but on the menu they're not called curries. Our server had to correct herself on what type of hot teas were available, and my wife's cup, once empty, stayed that way for a time before we called someone over and requested more hot water. Thought I would try this place based on a local recommendation. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to post a review. I spent $44 dollars for one person for the equivalent of a frozen meal. The sauce for the chicken tikka was watery and tasted like it came from a can. The food was served in a half hazard way using styrofoam plates and containers. The tables and glasses were dirty. The menu had grease all over it and the wine glass was not clean. First, I'd like to say that the owner is very attentive to everyone and extremely nice. He checks on you frequently and makes sure that you're well taken care of. For drinks, we had their watermelon juice. Very tasty. For starters, we ordered some somosas, just the vegetable kind, but I wish I got the beef ones. For our entrées, we had lamb kabobs, chicken tikka, and the vindaloo. The lamb was cooked perfectly and have nice spices to them. The chicken tikka was one of the most juiciest pieces of chicken that I've ever had. Cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The vindaloo, which is his mother's recipe, is also a very good dish. I love Curry Sultan. My church's Marriage Ministry group held our couples night out here last night and everyone enjoyed everything. There we some people who were apprehensive about trying Indian food for the first time, but they were able to find menu items that they really enjoyed. They will adjust the level of spice to accommodate your taste. The service is great, the owner and waitstaff are very attentive and accommodating. This is a quaint, family owned restaurant and the food is cooked with love....so it's not fast, but certainly worth the wait! We came tonight because our son's school had Spirit Night, and a portion of the proceeds go to his school. The food is amazingly delicious and made fresh. Our son is not an adventurous eater, but he tried everything and declared we must come back! We had the chicken tandoori, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, naan, rice and vegetable samosas. I had originally visited Curry Sultan when he first opened in the previous location. It was a Sat., and we went 5 minutes before closing and Russell, the owner would not let us in.I vowed never to go back. However this past Sat., I decided to go to his new location for lunch with a friend. Right at the outset you don't feel welcome because he has a notice about having the "right to refuse service." He also has cliches about supporting small businesses. Upon entering and seating ourselves there was no service for 15 minutes. There are no waiters or any other staff. Russell was in the kitchen cooking. We finally got his attention and placed our order. He then demanded to be paid in advance which we did. I gave him my credit card but then his internet was not working and he asked for cash which I gave him. He brought out our first order of Shrimp pakoras, and said there were only 5 instead of 6 because he burnt one. Later he brought me my order of cauliflower and potatoes which did not have any cauliflower. When I pointed out that he said he did not have any cauliflower. We excused him for that. The as we engaged in conversation he starts sharing his stories about being divorced and not having seen his kids for 2 years. He bad mouths lawyers. Then he finds out that my friend and I were physicians and he goes into a tirade against physicians. His food was very good and we enjoyed. His lemonade was delicious. I had already paid him $ 80.00 for $67 bill. At the end we ordered another lemonade and a nan which should have added $7.Yet he asks as to pay for that when he already had $ 13.00 in excess. On top of that throughout our stay he kept emphasizing he is a Buddhist and is not attached to anything . I think the food was excellent. Russell needs a major revision of his social skills. If you are looking for fresh authentic Indian food, this is the place. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala. It came with Basmati Rice, Paalak Paneer (Indian cheese with spinach cream sauce), Masala Papads (thin crispy toast) and Samosas (triangular shaped pastries with vegetables), and Naan, of course. They also have Garlic Naan, but I'll try that one next time. Everything was cooked fresh and served quickly. Food was absolutely amazing and well proportioned. There were so many appetizers I wanted to try but it was only 2 of us, so I'll have to wait until next time. They also have smoothies and adult beverages. Service was fast.
