I came to Disneyland and had a fun girl's night. While leaving the park, I walked through Downtown Disney and entered into the Curl Surf shop. I saw some cool carry on luggage by "Herschel" that caught my eye. I ended up buying two, one for myself, and one for hubby. The nice sales lady ended up helping me with the lock on both luggages. You have to jam a pen in it to reset. I think something happened cause the lock didn't work the next day. The lock got jammed somehow, and of course she didn't do it on purpose, but I couldn't even get the luggage to open after many tries. On top of having a jammed lock, I ended up having to pay $35 for parking even thought I got a parking stamp from Rip Curl, and that really put me in a sour mood. $35 for parking is crazy expensive! If I would have ate there and got my ticket stamped, I guess I could have saved $15 or something. I also thought I'd get 20% off with my Disney pass but they gave me 10% cause it's not owned by Disney, since it's outside of Disneyland. (makes sense now) Anyhow, within 24 hours my luggage was broken without ever being used on a vacation. I ended up calling 5 days later to talk to the manager about the situation (Taylor). He ended up letting me know that I was past my 5 day mark and I could only get store credit or call Herschel to see if they can give me a new one. I live about 30 min away from Disneyland and the parking there is brutal. I called again and talked to the general manager Taylor Campbell, a different Taylor manager. I explained to him about my situation and asked if there is anything that I can do to avoid driving there to get it returned somehow. He was so kind and understood my situation about how my lock got jammed on the luggage. I wasn't expecting for him to give me a full refund without having to drive all the way there with the luggage. Wow! Thank you so much Taylor for making me a happy camper on a Friday afternoon. I wasn't feeling very well either so, you made my day! Lastly, Chris the sales clerk there at Curl Surf is super awesome. I will return again most definitely! Please bring back more kiddie stuff like the cute Van's, etc. Thank you for your understanding and your excellent customer service! Nice people do exist, and it's very much appreciated. read more

Well, there's not much to say overall but that the service here is totally BAD and sorely lacking any kind of "Disney experience". Staff don't even greet you nor acknowledge you, they're super-bitchy, super-rude if not downright nasty. You're selling clothes guys, not performing brain surgery...staff needs to realize this pronto. Selection is alright with a few "hidden gems" but I would avoid this shop at all costs. Better yet, put Cast Members as sales associates and the place would be much more appealing. read more

Not impressed. Great store with nice products but I refuse to argue with some girl whose too dumb and ignorant to know what a toque is. Idiot. Get google SCOUT and dont argue with customers just to be difficult. Five of us werent impressed with you. Good service doesn't come from making your customers feel stupid because of your serious lack of brains. Even Rip Curl knows and advertises what a toque is. How dare you ridicule people coming to your store for your own defiance and amusment because you choose to call it a beanie or a hat. I'll never go back. DO NOT SHOP HERE Super shady sales tactics and inferior products Horrible customer service. Unbelievable this store is affiliated with Disney Resort. My husband bought a pair of sunglasses last night, obviously tried them on in store and everything seemed fine. Who knows for sure, it's night time. Come morning time we start walking to the park and he puts them on for the first time outside and it makes weird streaks on your eyes. I tried them on too to see what he was talking about and I can only describe it as prisms on your lenses. We try to return them and are now told after the fact that sunglasses are final sale. If that had been mentioned at the time of sale no way in hell would my husband buy sunglasses he couldn't return without trying them on in the sun first. We asked to speak to a manager, this guy was super rude. He said all the staff tells people everytime that sunglasses are final sale. Which no, the girl absolutely did not. He kept saying she did, "there's no way she wouldn't, she's also a manager" (?!?!?) This guy was yawning while my husband was speaking to him, so immature. We asked to speak to a higher manager, he said he was the highest manager, but he couldn't return the glasses because he'd "get in trouble with his job". So who would you get in trouble with? Let me talk to that person! We really did not appreciate being told that essentially we were liars, saying we were never told the return policy until the day after the purchase? read more

This morning I messed up and wore jeans to Disneyland while it was 80 degrees! I needed shorts desperately and I have to say the staff this morning today was great! Very friendly, approachable and helpful! The store was a little on the pricey side but needless to say the shorts I got were cute and the service itself was 5 stars! read more

Curl surf is a cute store reminds me of the quick silver that was there before they sell shoes bags hats clothes and beach attire... overall quite expensive but they have very cute stuff. I've never had a problem with the customer service but they welcomed me and that's it lol... they don't have fitting rooms and the clothes do look like they run small but that's just speculation.... other than that good overall experience read more

I loved all the Apparel and found a great sweatshirt. When I inquired about it because it had tags ripped off of it the manager Jordan was really rude. I was simply asking a question about return policies considering the tags were ripped off and she was very unkind about it. I'm was just bothered because most managers at a disney owned venue at least value the customer. read more

I bought a pair of shoes for $80 that broke the first time I wore them. I tried to return them and the store said because I was wearing them at the time the would not return or exchange them. Worst customer service ever. I will never shop there again read more

They had some cute clothes here, reminds me of Pac Sun or Tilly's but way better. The staff was friendly, I found a shirt and hat that I had to have, price wasn't too bad, same as mall prices. The buyers for this store did an excellent job, they have items here that I've never seen at any other surf shops. read more

This is such a lovely little shop and a wonderful addition to Downtown Disney. My family loved to stop at Quicksilver when it was here, and we were so disappointed to see that it had closed, but I think this shop serves as a nice replacement! My daughter loved the selection of clothing. The staff was awesome, and almost every one of them greeted us and asked if we needed assistance. Scout and Hannah helped my daughter and they were both wonderful. Kudos to the entire staff. read more

Absolutely fantastic! We love Downtown Disney and were very excited to find a new surf store after Quiksilver closed. The reason I'm writing this review is to stress how great the staff is. I was greeted by at least 3 people as I walked in all of which were cheerful and pleasant just as you'd expect from any Disney employee. Olivia rang me up and she was a total joy. She was super sweet and helped me pick out just the right sunglasses. After a long and crazy day, I really appreciated how genuinely kind she was. Her calm, laid back surfer girl demeanor was just what I needed. The store's design is beautiful and bright. Love the large dressing rooms. Plenty of space for moms with strollers. We will definitely be back! read more
