Friendly staff and delicious cup of coffee but definitely pricy! A medium hot coffee and a brekky was just over $10. Eek. We didn't get to try the flat white but will be back for more! The brekky, a flaky "meat pie" with egg and bacon, was a little salty but was a nice change of pace for breakfast. It would have tasted better if the bacon was crispy, instead it was a bit soft and lined the bottom of the pie. The sausage rolls looked delicious so give that one a try too. read more

Love this place!! I stopped in yesterday for a quick break and was pleasantly surprised to find not only really nice staff, but also really good coffee! I ordered a flat white, and the beans they used were perfect for me (not too bitter.) The server also created really cute/pretty latte art. The space is also pretty large with a good amount of seating, and outlets. I can't wait to come back again and try some of the meat pies and lamington! Also super helpful that they have free 15 minute parking in the lot across the street under the highway. read more

I write this review to you sitting in Cuppacoffee enjoying my brew during my first trip to Boston. Typically I will wait a few days before writing reviews but because this has been such a pleasant experience I feel it needn't wait. Summary: Cuppacoffee's outstanding customer service, diverse menu, and Aussie flair make it a wonderful addition to anyone's day. Pros: Phenomenal customer service, menu has something for everyone and is of good quality, love the Aussie feel Cons: No comfy sofa or relaxing chairs to read in Ignoring my love for all things Aussie, which was the initial hook that got me to visit Cuppacoffee, I truly enjoyed this visit. Jasmine and "Not Kyle" were incredibly friendly which is a key quality I feel every good coffee shop has. This being said, for anybody visiting Boston or even the locals who may have missed it I highly recommend a trip to Cuppacoffee. It won't be your last. read more

I just moved to the neighborhood, and so far each time I've gone to Cuppacoffee the staff has been super friendly and my soy latte has been made perfectly! I really like the Australian coffee that they use, and even though it's a bit pricey for a small, it's just so tasty! I've tried both their house blend (normal prices) and lattes (slightly overpriced). Coffee bean quality is sub par ... if a customer can't enjoy the house coffee black, I think there's an issue! Vibe is nice - a bit aussie, interesting decor of old newspaper headlines. A good place to relax. Been here several times now and am definitely a fan. Great selection of coffee and espresso drinks with some fun flavor syrups as well (hello White Chocolate and Pumpkin!). Several non-diary milk options for those avoiding lactose. Food wise I've tried two different breakfast sandwiches and their Lamington pastry, all of which were very tasty! Additionally the team that works here is super friendly and helpful. The menu and excellent customer service will make this my go to coffee spot when I'm in the area. read more

I have no idea how this is the top rated coffee shop in Boston at the moment... there are no fresh (pour over) coffee options and the food options are lacking for gluten free. I could see this being a great "cafe" option but if you are looking for A+ coffee from the sourcing to the experience then this is not it. read more

I live across the street so really hoped that this place would have good coffee and good food. Nope. The service is great and everyone is friendly, but unfortunately: The combination of high price and coffee/ food quantity/ quality is grossly mismatched. The pies are tiny, and not cheap as other reviewers pointed out. Then is it tasty? No - the pies are super greasy and salty, dough-to-filling ratio is really off (my hubs loves anything in pie form, from empanadas to hand pies to sweet pies and he only had one bite); sandwich somehow managed to utilize a really dry focaccia that was super thickly cut so it was like eating stale breadcrumbs with some meager innards. Coffee was nothing to write home about. They close really early too, 6pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends. I always end up at Wholefoods or CapitalOne bc they have better coffee. read more

UPDATE: drove by, they have parking across the road. Still terrible though. Let me start by saying that this place is easily in the worst location for a business that relies heavily on a quick double park, or walk up customer. There is literally no place to stop safely, and little to no foot traffic. Prices aren't cheep, but on par with Starbucks...and I'm ok with paying for good coffee. I gave it two stars because the coffee was good, but thats about the only redeeming quality. I really should have gone 1 star, though. 5 dollar minimum on cards? Really? No sign anywhere that says this? Come on...its 2016..who does that? At least throw a sign on the counter to warn me. I won't be back...and I don't expect this place to last very long. I suspect the rent in this freshly gentrified neighborhood isn't cheep. read more

Love this place. I have been there for the last three months,and soon it has become my second house. Their ice coffee is one of the best I have tried in Boston.The staff is super friendly and kind. They introduced me to Tim Tam cookies, a very famous brand in Australia. Admittedly I dunno if it was a good idea, because I am addicted to those cookies. I'm changing my review - I was a loyal patronage here ever since they opened since I live just across the street. I just adopted a 6wk old puppy that requires constant attention like when one of my children were born. I ran over to order my usual cup of coffee and out of respect, I opened the door and just peaked my head in and asked "could I pop in for a sec while holding him just to order a cup of coffee?" My puppy was on a leash but I wasn't about to leave a 2.5 lb 6wk old puppy on the street. The guy at the register was on his phone (No one else was in the store) and with a quick peak at me and my pup, the response was a cold "NO". Not another word or explanation, then back to his phone. He came off so cold and rude that it wasn't even just about following their policy anymore - but I'm sorry, you DO NOT greet a customer that way, especially when we tried to be considerate and simply asking a question. I've been to other stores in the past week and have done the same and I know there are many stores that do not allow pets inside, but they were much more eloquent and friendly about this. All my good experiences at this place were crushed instantly. Especially in the South End area where it's such a pet-friendly atmosphere - someone needs to train this guy what customer service is all about. read more

I don't know why I keep giving this place a second chance. Every time it's the same over priced food and coffee. The bagels are always stale. The cream cheese is scraped on in a very thin layer you can't even taste. Their selection of pastries is super expensive. Came with my friend in the morning to order coffee before going to work and the barista was very kind and friendly. However, my coffee did not taste like coffee. It tasted very watery to me. I like my coffee to be strong and still have that strong taste after adding a little half and half to it, but the coffee I had was not good. It was my first time here, and I am not sure if I will be coming back here unless I am in the area again to give it another try. Maybe next time my coffee will actually taste like coffee. read more

While they do serve a mean cup of coffee, they are sooooo slow. I admit, you can't expect a local chain to have the efficiency of Starbucks but every single time I go here it takes an unusually long time to get a latte or cappuccino. Additionally they now serve breakfast on the weekends. We waited 20 minutes only to have our meal completely forgotten, another 10 minutes goes by and no food. Finally one dish comes out (bacon egg and cheese with over cooked poached egg and cold cheese), the second dish is a few minutes behind that and for $14 I'd expect avocado toast to taste like avocado not drenched in lemon and salt making it barely edible (I will say that this poached egg was cooked correctly). They need to work on streamlining efficiencies and correctly training all staff. It appears that the owner/manager micromanages the team so that no employee is competent in completing tasks on their own (maybe this is why there is different staff every time I'm there). read more
