It's been about a year since we have eaten here and it was a pleasure then. My husband and I decided to go there tonight and all was well for the first ten minutes. We were seated in the very back with another family. A family came in shortly afterward with three children. The oldest of the three children ran laps around the tables and proceeded to place his toy on our table. During all of this activity the parents did nothing to stop this and evidently do not know how to use their inside voices. So basically when our food arrived we requested a bill and to go boxes. I understand that it is impossible to know how your customers are gong to act. But I do think that our waitress should have offered us another table. Basically $70 spent on carry out. read more

Cunningham's is good, no frills, no fuss kinda food. You're not gonna find gastriques, molecular gastronomy or anything like that here. There's nothing fancy about it. Its just good food. Everything I've had on the menu is good, but the grilled whitefish dinner is my favorite thing on the menu. It's flaky, buttery, and a good portion size. Cunningham's is the perfect place to sit on their patio overlooking Harrods Creek, grab dinner and a cold beer, and let the stress of the day melt away. read more

Awful. The restaurant sits on a quiet creek inlet. There is outside dining which is perfect for watching boaters float past. Unfortunately for us we didn't make it past the hostess seating diners. We were greeted by a sullen faced waitress who let it be known in no uncertain terms we were not welcome as "the kitchen closes in 4mins!" (Even though the restaurant was open for at least another hour). She made no effort to be courteous or polite and left us no alternative but to leave. Save yourself the trouble and go directly to Captains Quarters close by. THEY have wonderful service, polite. Staff and delicious food. Waterfront dining at its best. read more

The fish sandwiches here are great as are the burgers. Prices are reasonable. It's is so noisy you can't hear the person you are seated with during week nights. They do offer a spectacular Sunday brunch for a great price to which friends and I go often. It includes many items such as hot brown casserole which are not on the normal menu. They also generally have mimosa's on sale as well on Sunday and it is a LOT quieter atmosphere. Definitely recommend it! read more

We are new to the area & decided to try Cunningham's since our 1st food choice wasn't going to happen and also our neighbor had talked about how good the food is. I ordered the fish dinner (2 pieces of hand breaded cod with a garden salad & mac/cheese), fish was big and salad was ok but the mac/cheese...disgusting...how can you mess up mac/cheese? It tasted like is was cheese out of a can and it was cold. My husband ordered the Grilled Whitefish Seafood Trio dinner (2 pcs on a bed of rice, 3 pcs (yes only 3 pcs) of grilled shrimp & 3 pcs of fried oyster & fries), he liked the fish, he's had better shrimp & oysters, the fries was cold & just ok. But to top off our whole experience was when I look over at the girl tendering the bar & she blows her nose & digs in there really good like she's mining for gold & when she is finished she doesn't, let me repeat that DOES NOT wash her hands. I love Cunningham's Creekside WAY BETTER than Cunningham's downtown. On Sunday's they have mimosa's and a brunch buffet. They have fantastic fish sandwich and cheap burgers. It's also great in the summertime to set down by the dock on the picnic tables and drink buckets of beer. The service is really laid back and everyone is super nice. It's not fancy and most things are served with chips but if you can splurge a $1.99 I suggest adding some onion rings :) read more

The fish is pretty good. Not too much batter. I would like it to be thinner filets (yeah I'm weird like that)but the taste was OK. The 2nd time I went I had their pulled pork. It had a nice flavor. The view from the deck makes it a 4. Very calm and peaceful. Seemed like a relaxing atmosphere (I went at lunch). More of a Florida oceanside small restaurant feel. read more

This place has a very nice Sunday buffet with lunch and breakfast. Dinner is good, too. Lots of nice places to sit down by the creek, but room inside, too. The acoustics inside are horrible, so it can get pretty loud, since most of the inside it taken up by a bar and people will show up to watch the game on TV, so this is not a romantic type of place. read more

My wife and I visited Cunningham's Creekside restaurant for lunch on Wednesday, August 21st. We arrived during the noon time lunch rush. The restaurant was crowded and very busy. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server promptly got our drink orders and brought them to us quickly. Cunningham's is known for their whitefish sandwich and that is what we both ordered. We also ordered some onion rings as their's are usually pretty good. Even though the place was packed, our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was just as we had ordered and our server made sure we were pleased. The fish sandwich is large, fried to a golden brown, moist under the crisp breading and was not greasy. The fish and breading had a very good flavor. Add some of their homemade tartar sauce and everything was excellent. Even the bread was fresh enough to support my large sandwich without falling apart. As good as the fish was, the onion rings were even better. Hot, crisp and not greasy the flavor of the breading was good enough that no ketchup or sauce was needed. The onion had a slightly sweet flavor and were quite good. Just crisp flavorful onion rings. The whitefish sandwich also includes potato chips and a pickle. The chip were Ruffle's style chips and were fresh. I love their pickles! Tart and crisp they compliment the fish very well. So I recommend Cunningham's Creekside very highly. It's a hole in the wall type of place that sits on Harrod's Creek. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Boats pull up and dock from time to time. Just a nice friendly place. If you don't believe me just check the parking lot. That usually tells you all you need to know about a restaurant. read more

Went to Cunningham's for the first time this past Wednesday. The parking lot was packed. We almost left because we could not find any place to park. But things started to clear out about 1. Took my family to lunch. We all thought the fish sandwich was really good and my sister enjoyed the burger. I recommend the steamed broccoli (fresh) but not the mac and cheese (fake cheese taste). The place is very clean and the service was excellent. Nothing fancy but a comfortable place to go. We will go back. Sounds like the Sunday brunch is worth checking out. read more

Been here a few times, so I must like something about this waterside restaurant. The menu has a good mix of food and the prices are right. Their club sandwich is traditional, but exceptional. Soups are very good. Have not tried many menu items yet, but visually, as serves bring by other diners lunch or dinner, most things look tasty. There is a neighborhood feel about the restaurant. Service very slow on a very slow night less than 6 tables filled. Our waiter was on break or in the back apparently when after 10 minutes the waitress decided after staring at us to bring us a menu and get our drink orders. Our waiter did show up he was very pleasant. Our beer batter cheddar cheddar cheese bites were great, my husbands dinner salad looked very brown wilted and worn. Worst service I have experienced for at least a decade. I know that Sunday can be a busy day for restaurant, but that is no excuse for what our party experienced today. We had a reservation for 6:00 p.m.--were not seated until 6:30. Then had to wait 10 minutes for our waitress to come by to get a drink order. Took another 10 minutes for the drinks to be served & our food order to be taken. Our food arrived 45 minutes later. Not once during that time or during our meal did the waitress come back to ask about drink refills or new drink orders. We did see her a number of times standing on the deck texting on her cellphone. When we were finally able to get her to come to our table towards the end of the meal & ask for more drinks, she took a very sarcastic tone & aggressive attitude towards us. As for the food, my grilled fish was good, but the onion rings were overcooked, and I thought the fried shrimp & panfried oysters nothing special. Our party was eager to get away from this bad dining experience as soon as we finished eating, but it took us another 10 minutes to literally track down the waitress and ask for our bill. No wait to be seated on a Tuesday. My salad was brown. I ordered the grilled chicken which is served on rice ... The rice was still crunchy & the chicken was tasteless and flat. My boyfriend got a club ... Decent but the turkey was dark meat? Then we tried to order onion rings .... Bad idea again. The server was nice she comped my margarita that was juice. Ive been here several times in the past and absolutely LOVED it. On Saturday, October 14 my friend and I took his family there and it was the worst. First off they have completely changed the menu and don't have half of the things we used order. So my friend who would usually get the roast beef ended up getting a fish sandwich. It was a big slab of fish on two pieces of bread nothing more. Lettuce tomato cheese would have all been nice. Secondly while I understand they were busy the waitress was quite rude. When she asked if they wanted their sandwich on rye she never gave any other options and came off kind of smart alecky. We walked out of there feeling like it was a big waste of $50. I went to Cunninghams last night, ordered a beer, it had lipstick on it. The waitress brought another one, it was fine. Ordered another beer with dinner, got the same lipstick glass again! Waitress said I wouldn't be charged for it. What a relief, I wasn't going to have to pay for beer in a nasty glass. The food was ok, service was fair. read more

I wanted to like this place since it is a spot where I have fond memories, when it was Bus Parson's years ago. The atmosphere is still very laid back, its a place that you feel right wearing flip flops to. The down side, I just wasn't impressed by the food. I'm a seafood lover, I like seafood that is fresh and flavorful. I ordered the combo of fish, shrimp, and oysters. The fish is plentiful, two huge pieces, but as I stated before, once delving in I was disappointed in the heavy amount of breading and lack of any flavor. Also in the meal were 2 pan fried oysters, and 2 butterflied shrimp. Both very mediocre at best, not much flavor. Included were two sides, slaw and green beans-not bad but nothing special. The service was pretty fair, our server never came back to check on us after bringing our food, but I noticed he was the exception, other servers seemed to be working hard. This would be a great place I think to go with friends after work for a drink and a burger or something, just don't go thinking you're going to get great seafood.
