This was our first itme to eat here. We pass it many times as we travel River Road, but never stopped because the parking lot was always full. We were going to go to Captains Quarters, but decided to give Cunningham's one more try. It was late after noon and the lot was not full so the lunch crowd had probably come and gone. We know that they have always had rave reviews about their Cod fish so that was our plan. We walked in and got seated right away and the server came and took our drink orders. We both ordered the Cod sandwich and onion rings as an extra side. The fish was exceptionally large and thick. It had a very nice sweet and flavorful taste. What really made our meal were the onion rings. The crust was so crunchy and the onion very flavorful. It is hard to describe just how good the crunch is. The atmosphere was very good, the service was as well and we can't wait to go back. They have deck seating out back on the creek and when the weather gets better it should be fun to try.

Always great food, my fav is the cod anyway you like fried, grilled or baked. Salads fresh, side all tasty. Service last visit was Tara, awesome and attentive.

    Fried Chicken

Been coming here for years mostly for the fish n chips which is top notch. Tried the Fried Chicken for the first time tonight and was highly impressed... Very crispy and flavorful, some of the best I have ever had. The coleslaw is also impressively balanced and not watery at all. The green beans were clearly slow simmered and I am guessing the secret ingredient is love. The entire staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and fast. I do recommend you come early for dinner because they get busy...

Just stopped by for a bit. Got easy seats at the Bar early Sunday. For those who loved KT'S queso, and don't want pay LeMoo prices. It's here. Queso is 100% KT'S. Saw a former KTS employee there. Coincidence? Nope. 100% delish and authentic. Screw Le Moo

Best and biggest fish sandwich in town! We recently got a large carryout order. They had plenty of staff working and order was complete.

It was the perfect spot for a Friday after work in the summer, as breezes over the water would help to quell the sweltering heat. Our most recent visit was on Oaks Day, and we headed in early to beat the crowd. We were able to be seated outside immediately and our friendly server promptly brought us drinks and water. We started with the classic Green Chili Wontons. My only complaint with this is that it's only 5 to an order - I wish it were more! I got the CQ Pizza with a cauliflower crust this time. Large enough to split 3 ways, it hit the spot and still had plenty left in my take-home box. CQ is a classic for a reason, and worth visiting on a nice day!

It's a huge restaurant with indoor, bar, patio and outside seating. Service was great, and very attentive. I ordered the chili lime shrimp tacos and onion rings - food arrived quickly but was a bit bland. Shrimp was tasty but served in a regular store bought soft taco - I ended up not eating the taco since it wasn't heated up and had no flavor. The onion rings were good but nothing out of the ordinary. Views are spectacular - food is so so.

We definitely found the right place. The patio area with the Koi pond and waterfall was perfect. My wife and I had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Selena's Crab Caps. Their menu looks amazing as did the specials of the day. We didn't have time to eat a full meal, but did enjoy our time outside. I'm not sure if the $2 version was a smaller size or only offered at certain times, but honestly... the drinks were still worth it. The flavor was amazing, and unlike a lot of brunch drinks that taste watered down, these were actually strong. Two glasses definitely had me feeling tipsy, so I can't complain too much there. The main reason I took off a star was the parking situation and accessibility concerns. The handicap parking is positioned perpendicular to the main road, which honestly feels unsafe when backing out. If someone already has mobility or visibility limitations, backing directly into a busy road can be stressful and dangerous. The rest of the parking area is also gravel, which can be difficult to navigate with mobility aids, wheelchairs, walkers, or even just for someone unsteady on their feet. It's one of those situations where it's great that handicap parking exists close to the entrance, but the actual setup still creates challenges. Outside of that, the drinks themselves were genuinely really good, the atmosphere was fun, and I'd probably still come back for another brunch date.

There's lots of light inside and a wonderful outdoor patio for warm days. We started with the calamari appetizer. This is one dish that hasn't changed since the Napa days. It has a very fine breadcrumb coating, served with a creamy tartar sauce and a zesty marinara. Fantastic! The best in Louisville, in my opinion. My husband had the pasta bolognese . It was very rich, but good. I had the lasagna. At first glance, I thought to myself that nobody should have let it out of kitchen. Someone put it under broiler way too long, edges were black and it was very dry. I later took it home, added some marinara, sliced the burnt parts off. It was constructed perfectly, very thin layers, not overstuffed. Just overdone. I think next time we will try a seafood dish. Service was prompt and friendly.

If you're a fan of chicken fried chicken with gravy, this was a large portion. We tried the fried green tomatoes, broccoli slaw, mashed potatoes, and green beans as sides. The tomatoes came with a sauce and it had a kick of heat. We weren't big fans of the green beans, mainly because they took the flavor of the broth they'd been cooked in. The menu is huge. We noted we'd gotten a lot of fried items; however, The Goose offers more variety to avoid that. The space is large and can accommodate groups. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and has several spots.

If comfort had a flavor, I'm convinced it would taste a lot like dinner at Malone's…read more From the moment the plates hit the table, it felt less like a meal and more like an experience carefully composed in butter, fire, and just the right amount of indulgence. Let's start with the shrimp. Plump, juicy, and swimming in a rich, seasoned butter that practically begs each bite carried that perfect balance of garlic, spice, and warmth. These weren't just shrimp--they were the kind of dish that makes conversation pause mid-sentence. Then came the steak, wearing its grill marks like a badge of honor. Cooked with precision, it delivered that deep, smoky flavor you expect from a top-tier steakhouse. Tender enough to cut with ease, but still holding onto that satisfying bite that reminds you this is the main event. And just when you think you've reached your limit, the burger and fries arrive like a second act that refuses to be overshadowed. The burger was stacked, juicy, and unapologetically messy in the best way. Crisp lettuce, melted cheese, and a soft bun that somehow holds it all together--it's a balancing act that works. The fries? Golden, slightly rustic, and seasoned just enough to keep you reaching back into the basket. What really stands out at Malone's is how effortlessly it blends upscale dining with comfort food energy. You can dress it up or come as you are, but either way, the food delivers with confidence. Final verdict: Malone's doesn't just serve food--it serves cravings you didn't even know you had, and then satisfies them completely.
