Never disappoints for a traditional breakfast! Prices are great and our kids love it.

Sandy is our friendly, hard working server. Our Brotherhood Luncheon had about 17 present. Everyone liked their food and really liked the service. The coffee and other beverages kept being topped off. I ordered the oatmeal with cinnamon, brown sugar, nuts, raisins and blueberries. Others ordered chicken fried steak, different sandwiches like Reuben, Club, Patty Melt and others. Some ordered biscuits and gravy or omelets with bacon, sausage or ham. We look forward to our next visit. It was fairly busy on this visit, but service was still perfect. read more

This is a local spot run by Angie and her family members as fantastic and attentive servers. The food is always delicious and hot straight from the kitchen. The French toast is thick-sliced, bacon is served crispy, and the hash browns are a mix of crispy and soft. Angie herself is a sweatheart. Angie's is like a well oiled gear. The women that work there are amazing. A plus is it women owned. Angie is super down to earth and so sweet. If you yearn for an old fashion, 1950's breakfast place... you found it. They're pouring coffee, and sling'n hash! The food was excellent, cooked to order and fresh. We had enjoyed Angie's on a previous visit, so we stopped in again. Last time I commented how everything was good and would be improved if they served the food hot rather than lukewarm. This time they nailed it. My eggs (over easy) we're perfect. The # browns were hot & crispy and the bacon was crispy as well. My wife's veggie omelette was equally good. And for the first time in ages, I had corned beef # that didn't taste like it came out of a can. And prices that are incredibly reasonable. Got what you may for an egg McMuffin meal, you can actually get a solid breakfast. read more

A great, diner style place with solid breakfast food. When considering the price of most the menu items here, you really can't go wrong. Besides that, the food is very tasty. I went for two pancakes with hash browns and scrambled eggs. The pancakes were excellent, and the hash browns were especially tasty. The items were made to order and tasted fresh. My service here on this trip was also excellent. I was always getting a refill on my coffee or water. I look forward to visiting again! read more

Angie's does breakfast right. First come first serve - table service restaurant. Got a seat right away on a rainy Sunday morning while visiting family in the area. Tables are turned over quickly to accommodate the steady flow of customers coming in and out. Within minutes of sitting we had our drinks ordered with food soon to follow. Bottomless coffee and a large milk in hand, I ordered the "Big Breakfast" (eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast) with a side of Corned Beef Hash while my mother opted for a French Toast Platter. In no time our plates arrived and we dug in. My entire plate was cooked perfectly. Hit the spot and wouldn't change a thing. My mom reports the french toast was the best she's had in a very long time. Ready to head out, the restaurant accommodated a request for a to-go cup for a last bit of coffee and for around $20 we left satisfied (and very full!). Easy parking, large overhang to hide from the sun or rain in case there is a line to get in. Fantastic breakfast option! read more

Casual seating in a former eatery mostly serving breakfast. No host just defund a table. Great staff and really good traditional breakfast! I had the big breakfast 7.95, three eggs, hash-browns bacon and toast all cooked or toasted to perfection. The staff knows the menu very well, and they also know majority of the diners. The restaurant is clean as are the bathrooms! They are following Covid guidelines so you'll feel safe! I eat here a lot, I highly recommend you give them a try read more

this was my second I've gone to Angie's. I don't remember my first experience but it had to have been alright for me to come back. However, this time was disappointing. after we ordered, we could hear the employees in the back judging someone's order and how much they ordered. Besides them taking our order and delivering our food, we were not checked on at all. I had to reach out and ask for a coffee refill and I had to take some sugar from the next table because they would not come close enough to our table to stop them and ask. The food was pretty good but I'm disappointed with the service we received. I'll likely go back and give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Angie's café is the name of this location and Angie, the owner is a former server at A Nice Restaurant. She decided to buy her own cafe at the former Stricker's location. The decor is wonderful and modest , it has that old hometown feel, and coming in on Saturday at 8:30 in the morning there was barely any places to sit at, its that packed. The food was delivered fast in hot, all items for me to order is homemade and the hashbrowns work correctly and not just on the top! Delicious breakfast we will definitely be back!! For all the strengths of its culinary scene, the Louisville Metro is sorely lacking when it comes to greasy-spoon, All-American diners. In most neighborhoods, it's Waffle House or bust, really. Thankfully, you can surry down to Jeffersonville and find a really solid diner breakfast at Angie's Cafe. Low prices, hearty portions and reliable old-school eats make this place a charmer. I especially recommend the chili cheese omelette. The dining area is pretty nondescript, but that's okay - the focus here is on breaking bread (or biscuits, more specifically)! As long as you're not expecting a frou-frou, Wild Eggs-type breakfast, you should find Angie's to be well worth your time and money. read more

Drove from the east end of Louisville on a Sunday morning just to see they were closed. I completely understand closing due to covid but you failed at posting it anywhere. Why be half professional and post your closings half the time? Your Facebook has a post from 2 weeks ago about being closed due to covid. You open back up and then close again without posting another closing? Wasted 35 mins just driving here. Won't attempt it again. Do better keeping your customers updated. read more
