Stopped by for a few slices at lunch. They don't have them ready when you walk in, it takes about five or 10 minutes to get your order but definitely worth the wait. Service good, pizza great. I would give it a 7.6 on my version of the Portnoy scale. Definitely one of the top 5 pizza places in Louisville. Took my pizza carry out but definitely looks like a place you should go to after work for a couple beers or with your wife and or family for a casual night out. Full bar with TVs for catching a game, as well as a semi separate dining room. Limited parking, but overall a nice stop. read more

What a lively, family oriented place! Came with kiddos and saw many other families as well as friends having dinner together. I had the meatball sub and it was so good! They pay attention to the details- just the right amount of sauce, yummy cheese and the bread was toasty on the outside with a nice crunch. The meatballs were tasty and large. I could only eat half of the sandwich! Rest of the table had Aaron's Heat and Sweet and said it was delicious! It came out of the oven piping hot and was delivered straight to our table. Service was fine. They put us at the table next to the host booth, but awkwardly had to walk behind the hostess to get to one of the seats. My Spinach Salad was subpar at best and honestly the worst out of all the locations I've gotten it. Nobody bothered to mix it and the dressing may as well have been straight bacon grease, it would at least have flavor. So much for vinaigrette. Most of the bacon was overcooked, but it was fine. I'm dairy-free, but was there for a birthday so I ordered a BYOB 10" pizza with no cheese or butter because pizza sounded best. I went over the sauce and toppings I wanted (marinara, pineapple, jalapeño, banana pepper, pepperoni and bacon) Had to run out for a phone call, came back to eat and my pizza had all the toppings EXCEPT the sauce! My only solace was cold marinara in a cup for my pizza (which is honestly unappetizing on a warm pizza and not ideal). I'm not sure if my waitress forgot to add that to the order or if it was missed when they cooked it either way it was frustrating. My husband got sick literally in the parking lot on the way out and said the pizza was horrible. Ambiance wise... the speakers were SO loud I could barely hear the conversation in front of me. It was easy to get overwhelmed with the noise. Thankfully it wasn't super crowded, I couldn't imagine if it was. We no have plans to return to this location which is a bummer because it's so close by. We've had incredible experiences at the Bardstown road location and we were really excited to try this one. read more

I had been to the one in St. Matthews before, so going into this my expectations were high. I think now I may go out my way more just to go to this location. That's not to say the other one I've been to is bad, this location was just that much better! We got the dough balls and a 15 inch Gibbon pizza. The dough balls were amazing. They were a lot larger than the ones I've had at the other location and I liked the difference. The pizza was marvelous. It was cooked to absolute perfection! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a pizza that much, that's how good it was. The ambiance of the place is really cool. It was a nice day so we were partially sitting outside. It made me think of a nice place by a beach on vacation. The have a solid beer selection, I went with a blue moon. Lots of selections to choose from. The service was fine considering they were pretty busy. Not amazing but not awful either. I will definitely be back, thanks for the great evening!!!! read more

My family and I went in here on a Sunday evening for dinner celebrate my father's birthday. We were seated in the boat message and TVs and mama say it was a nice comfy area to watch the games. We ordered some little bread bowls with cheese on them I don't know what they're called but they're really good. We enjoyed the pizza itself was fantastic. Big old. Giant slices came out. The waitress was nice. It was a nice set up. We really did enjoy your time here. And I will definitely be back and I can't wait to see what the summer has in store with the outdoor music and things. read more

Ordered a take out Pizza- at 6:15pm, picked it up at 6:29 pm!!! Wow!!! Small Thin Crust-Sausage /Spicy Sausage- Boy did this hit the spot! Best Thin Crust Pizza in Louisville. I have been searching the city, ordering various locations Thin crust. Diorio's has it if you're looking. Only the small size per the menu. 10". They started serving breakfast Thurs-Sunday. Bad idea. Especially bad on a Thursday morning. Was excited to try it out and have a new breakfast spot to frequent. Invited a friend. I felt terrible and embarrassed for suggesting this place for us from the minute we arrived. Coffee: terrible. Decided to switch to tea. Hot tea is on the menu, but they didn't have any to serve us. The breakfast pizza sounded really good. Would not order again under any circumstances. I feel bad putting this out there, but I feel worse not warning you in advance. They have a lot of work to do to be prepared for serving breakfast and for making it a good experience. They can start by having decent coffee that looks and tastes like coffee. Sorry Diorio's. Myself, my husband and our two friends went here on the second day open at this location. The staff and service were awesome. The food tasted amazing. We ordered the cheddar balls for an app, lasagna, pizza and calzone with tater tots. Everything was delicious. Prices are moderate. But they have all sorts of activities to do outside too. We got take out pizza... the gibbon and cheese bread. The crust was very chewy with little flavor, very little sauce. What a welcome addition to the East End dining experience, a unique, high quality restaurant with top level pizza plus a "welcoming" and comfortable bar. This place was abuzz in constant activity with call in and delivery orders Flying out the door the entire time we were there. The appetizers and drinks (Old Fashioned) were on point with great service, a very clean dining area with multiple televisions and very attentive service all around! I want to like this place. Pizza is pretty good! Went there opening night and it was an absolute $hit show, but understood what we signed up for! Went back last night and the service was horrendous for a party of eight. Waiter would disappear for 20/30 minutes multiple times. Drinks were slow coming and when other staff were trying to jump in and deliver food or drink....they don't take away empty glasses and such! Never leave table empty handed in my opinion. Really either understaffed or just don't know what they're doing on service side. Sorry, but won't be back anytime soon! read more

Ordered takeout, one 15 inch cheese and a 12 inch square pan Gibbon... The cheese was very good.... Davey Pageviews would like it.... The pan had too many toppings for my liking, but that is more on me for ordering that many toppings... Next time I would stick to a 15 inch hand tossed and limit it to 2 toppings... This was our first visit - great atmosphere and clean facilities. Our pizza, when it finally arrived, tasted very good. We were part of a party of 10. After asking the server pizza crust questions, we ordered a 12x12 deep dish pizza. I understand it most likely takes longer to cook than traditional crust; however, it would have been good if our server told us this pizza takes MUCH longer - like it got delivered approximately 25 minutes after everyone else's food! We would not have ordered deep dish at this time had we known. About 15 minutes after all others received their food, I searched for the server to ask about ours. She said she saw it in the oven and shouldn't be much longer. About ten minutes later I asked the bartender to get a manager. He asked what the issue was and when I explained he said it should not have taken that much longer and a manager would come see me. The manager shortly after delivered our pizza, apologized and said deep dish takes almost three times longer to cook. Again, would have been nice to have been told this up front. Everyone else in our group was about finished eating before we got our pizza. The server did not come back to check on us, check to see if we needed more beverages.....there was definitely a problem with the order and I simply believe it could have been addressed differently. Our ticket was for full price, which we paid and left the server a tip. My recommendation- be totally up front about the extra time deep dish takes (20-25 minutes more...). If there was a server or kitchen problem with the order, the server should notify the manager. Something to drink with my long awaited pizza would have been appreciated. read more
