This place is the bomb diggity. Servers are outstanding, food was great. They do a special on sliders on Mondays. Great atmosphere on the inside of the location I would recommend sitting outside if you can.

Have you enjoyed their Christmas vibe? It is absolutely AMAZING!!!! The food is so so good!!!

Nice vibe, amazing service! We came with a group of friends for lunch after church and none of us had visited / heard of this place before! The menu has tons of delicious options from salads and burgers, to fish options or sandwiches. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potatoes fries; my husband got the reuben with tater tots. We were both so blown away by the quality of the food. My sandwich was juicy, flavored just right, and tasted amazing. The sweet potato fries were crispy without being too hard. My husband loved his sandwich - made with meat from a smoker out back!! We all joked that we were gonna come back for dinner it was so good. Our waiter was incredible. He talked to us about the place, how it started, the owners and said he truly felt so passionate about his job and the place. It was really cool. We will definitely be back!

If your familiar with Norton Commons than your familiar with Karems. We stopped in for their Grand Re-Opening a few weeks ago after new owners took over. It still looks exactly the same and has your neighborhood bar feel, continuing the tradition as Norton Commons Neighborhood "Cheers" The new menu is a combination of new and old selections alike. We started with the Hot Brown Fritters with Smoked Gouda Fondu. Can I just say FIRE!!!! For all y'all tomato haters out there like me, it's has crushed up sun-dried tomatoes and you'd never even know their in there! We also tried the hand battered fried chicken tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce which were also delicious. I can't wait to go back to simply hang out and eat delicious food.

I've heard about this place for a while but finally visited! Got carry-out of course, since COVID-19. I called them and they said they'd be ready in ten minutes. They have a lot of homemade sides that I'll have to try next time. I got the Reuben with fries. Yum! So filling! It's hard to find a good Reuben, especially below the Mason-Dixon. The fries had cracked black pepper on it. Wow! So good! My sister got the Caesar chicken wrap with chips. She enjoyed and also found it filling! Prices were fantastic! Service was great too! I'd try something else off the menu.

Crazy that they pass the 3% credit card fee on to their customers - their food is already too expensive!

If comfort had a flavor, I'm convinced it would taste a lot like dinner at Malone's…read more From the moment the plates hit the table, it felt less like a meal and more like an experience carefully composed in butter, fire, and just the right amount of indulgence. Let's start with the shrimp. Plump, juicy, and swimming in a rich, seasoned butter that practically begs each bite carried that perfect balance of garlic, spice, and warmth. These weren't just shrimp--they were the kind of dish that makes conversation pause mid-sentence. Then came the steak, wearing its grill marks like a badge of honor. Cooked with precision, it delivered that deep, smoky flavor you expect from a top-tier steakhouse. Tender enough to cut with ease, but still holding onto that satisfying bite that reminds you this is the main event. And just when you think you've reached your limit, the burger and fries arrive like a second act that refuses to be overshadowed. The burger was stacked, juicy, and unapologetically messy in the best way. Crisp lettuce, melted cheese, and a soft bun that somehow holds it all together--it's a balancing act that works. The fries? Golden, slightly rustic, and seasoned just enough to keep you reaching back into the basket. What really stands out at Malone's is how effortlessly it blends upscale dining with comfort food energy. You can dress it up or come as you are, but either way, the food delivers with confidence. Final verdict: Malone's doesn't just serve food--it serves cravings you didn't even know you had, and then satisfies them completely.

We definitely found the right place. The patio area with the Koi pond and waterfall was perfect. My wife and I had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Selena's Crab Caps. Don't bother looking at the menu as the daily specials are the BEST. I think 80% of us ordered the salmon, dirty rice and Brussel sprouts. Some opted for other sides and were accommodated. Beware a few of the menu items. Extreme heat comes with them. One of us chose the 3 entree, I believed jambala, etoufee, plus one more. You could see the sprinkled Cajun heat all over the food and plate. And she likes heat!! But for us, the salmon was out of this world, perfectly prepared with that blackened seasoning. Dirty rice perfect and amazing that brussel sprouts perfectly cooked/steamed for me....some can be almost raw... these were not, plus awesome flavor. They gifted one of us with a birthday treat!! So nice!! It's an old house. So the area we were in....no conversation without screaming!! Very loud. And why this owner doesn't pave the parking lot, is a question many have asked in the past....not even a trace of salt when we arrived after a major snow turn to ice event. I had just been to another equally nice restaurant a day before.....salt for traction, if no other reason, everywhere. And another restaurant, salted before the snow event. Gravel plays no part of ambiance in my life. We've been a good customer thru our 30s, 40s...now in our 70s, 80s, gravels not fun anymore. Just saying!!

In my defense, I think it's because we have so many great local restaurants! Suffice to say, this place will be on my top 10 of places to recommend, especially in the fish category as well as scenic spots for dining ambience. We sat outside on the lower deck overlooking the dock. The only drawback was the intermittent almost nauseating smell of exhaust from idling boats. This was tolerable for us since it was thankfully only occasional and brief. Parking was also a bit of a hassle, but patience will be rewarded. Our party of 4 was seated within 15 minutes of arrival for a Saturday 5 PM dining, which is fast for anywhere in this town for this time slot. We also never felt rushed during our visit, which is also a great compliment considering how busy and popular this place happens to be. Our server was absolutely fantastic. Sorry that I don't recall her name, only that she wore a hat that referred to her dog (Max?). She was able to make great recommendations and also shared some insider tips about the queso dip. Food and drink service was efficient and timely. We ordered the queso dip, fried fish, broiled fish, grilled shrimp, rice, steamed broccoli, onion rings, baked potato, and salads. Consensus was that all of our choices were delicious and prepared very well. Looking forward to future visits, especially during nice weather to be able to fully enjoy the water views during dining.

I had the shrimp dinner ($22) it came with about 12 large fried shrimp and two sides. It was very good the shrimp, coleslaw and cocktail sauce all tasted amazing. Everyone else got the fish sandwich entree ($18) and it was massive and so crispy but not greasy which was nice. It has a nice community scene and great bar area. The patio overlooking the river would be nice to enjoy in the spring/summer months. My one take away was it does have some improvements that need made, the women restroom the handicapped stall lock was broken and in turn not usable if anyone may need it. But for food and service it is a top contender for great fish in Louisville!

It was the perfect spot for a Friday after work in the summer, as breezes over the water would help to quell the sweltering heat. The "toppings", however, elevated the burger from ho-hum status to "pretty decent". My wife and son both had the steak tips over rice.
