Educated! Efficient! Effective!…read more The owner serviced us after their automated response said they were unable to take the job. Turns out it was just because it was after hours, not due to no availability. We figured out a time and the owner came out to spray. It was quick and he said we'd only pay if it worked so he'd check back with us in a week or so. He took NO PAYMENT at the time of service, which really impressed me. It's a local business and I'm sure needs to be paid for all their time and expertise, but he was willing to bank on his product and service. Well IT DID WORK! No more bees trying to invade my home. We'd definitely use them again. And the pricing wasn't too bad $198. Could've been worse. 100% recommend

Hopefully next year is better but if they come back I would call Pro Star again.

To come back to remove the trap was an additional $80. Why wasn't the first removal included in initial cost? He is also NYS certified to use these chemicals. When he showed up is where the problems started. First of all, he pulled up in an unmarked SUV, and I thought he was a friend of the neighbors. Then, when he came into the house, he used the little syringe type of dispensers to place the chemicals on the corner of the windows. Guess what, the ants come from other places as well. Anyways, then he went outside and sprayed. Great. He then gave me a receipt and told me that in 2 months, he would call, or I could call him for re-application. That raised a red flag - who calls whom? Then he said that if we have any issues, to call him back in a week, and he would come and re-apply. Needless to say - we have issues, and 3 phone calls later, and 4 days, he has yet to call back. I give up, and am moving on. Chalking this up to a loss. Next time I will use a credit card so that way when someone doesn't show up like promised, I can dispute the transaction. Thanks for nothing JAMES!

THEN I CALLED PEST Rx. (It was very late afternoon by this time) Chad from Pest Rx said he'd be there by "9AM tomorrow", after first making sure the critters were not IN the house. Next AM, arrived on time, sprayed the powdered chemical in the places where he could see them entering THREE TIMES, to make sure he was getting it in deep enough, and came into the house between sprays to listen at the wall. When we heard the crazy buzzing in the wall after #3, he was satisfied he got them all. All of this cost $50 to $150 LESS than the prices I was given by any of the other places I called, and NO MORE YELLOW JACKETS! (The buzzing was weird, but as it got quieter and then stopped, I felt a whole lot safer and happier.) It's been at least 2 weeks, and there are NO yellow jackets swarming around the nest location. I will ALWAYS call PEST Rx first. Not only did he do the job the first time, but he checked back with me by phone the next day to make sure it was all good. He didn't try to sell me services I didn't need, and best of all (to me) he thoroughly EXPLAINED everything he did and WHY he did it. I'd give him 10 stars if this site would let me! Deb K.
