I wouldn't recommend this company. I tried to sign up for a pest and mosquito service and they never showed up. My appt was between 8am-12pm. I called at 12pm to confirm they were still coming. I have been an Ehrlich maintenance customer for over 10 years and service for about 8 those years was good. i have had issues the last couple of years mainly this year actually with scheduling, ie: not showing up for 3 scheduled appointments and then showing up for an appointment without prior notice. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. To be honest, the first service was fine. BUT THEN, it was downhill from there. The first service guy gave me a brochure on their yearly program. I didn't agree to anything. Next thing I know I get a bill for the next month. I left a message that I never signed up for anything. Next month...another bill. Before this I asked about possible skunk removal. A service guy called to say he was coming out. I asked for the fee. He didn't know. I've used this company every couple of years since it was Buffalo Exterminating and then Ehrlich. Everything was excellent until this year. I've been trying to get hold of them for more than a week. On day 1 I was on hold for 15 minutes and gave up, on day 2 for 20 minutes and finally got somebody. I explained the situation and was told someone would call me back. No one did. I called the next day and was assured someone would call me back. A message was on my voicemail two days later, but the name and phone number weren't clear--the most important information! I called back and--you guessed it--I was told someone would call me back. When I called the next day, I was told that my zip code wasn't coming up. I asked if that could mean that they didn't serve my zip code, and was told, Maybe. I have no words. Edit: I think they have an outside answering service that doesn't know the business or doesn't communicate with it. When I search for my zip code, an Ehrlich location pops right up, about a mile from my house. Ehrlich, another answering service would do you good. read more

I just paid $675 to control skunks from tearing up my lawn. They just finished the treatment. The lawn was torn up this morning with skunk tracks all over the driveway. They should have just told me it was not likely that they could control the skunks and forget about wasting your money! read more

Dreadful. This company is a scam! Stay away from them. We used Buffalo exterminating for years and years and years. Somehow that company was bought out by this company and Ehrlich is terrible! They try to upsell you into a "package" deal. There is nothing good about it. Even though we tried to cancel, the company still showed up and sprayed our property. They made a huge mess. Dealing with their so called customer service is nearly impossible, and they are not only rude, but they completely ignore your request. The company is knowledgeable and helpful. In my situation they told me that I initially needed an estimate due to the height of my bee hive... I called back because whoever was doing the estimate was running late and I spoke to someone more experienced and they told me I didn't need an estimate. They offered to send someone out same day and gave me a coupon for the inconvenience. The serviceman that came out was friendly and knowledgeable and taught me a couple things about yellow jackets. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I was a customer for over a year with Ehrlich Pest Control. We live in Western New York and originally called for carpenter ants and decided to sign up for the 365 pest control coverage. We live very rurally and as a result have mice and wasp issues regularly. When we would call they would give us a large arrival window and I would wait at the house for the tech. A few times they showed later than the window time and expected us to drop everything when they got there after wasting most of the day hanging around the house waiting for them to show up. When they showed outside of the window they didn't seem to care that they inconvenienced anyone and said they were unaware of any "window of arrival" for service. Other times no tech would show at all the day of the scheduled appointment and we never received a call letting us know no one would be showing up. Other times I would call with rodent issues and they would tell me no one was available to service us for over a week out! I was paying for 365 coverage, they weren't fulfilling their end of the deal to start with, and then they raised the price!! I was in contact with the regional department manager, Michael Aures, who promised better service and free service for a few months to make up for missed service calls and poor experiences. However, we were still charged 3 times additionally when we weren't supposed to be. The Michael Aures promised we would get a refund for the false charges. It has been 7 months and we still have not gotten a cent!! He has promised to call back on multiple occasions after looking into issues and almost NEVER calls back! He promised a refund for the entire year of 2020 for our troubles and asked that we go our separate ways in November stating that they cannot possibly provide us with the services they promised. We agreed to go separate ways but now they have even less reason and desire to give us our refunds! His department is saying we received the refund for the 3 months we were falsely charged when we have not received a cent from them! He said he would look into it with the credit card and refund departments before Thanksgiving, but when I called after Christmas he still hadn't made those inquires. Now not only do they owe us for the 3 month of false charges made, they owe us for the entire year of promised refunds for our troubles. It's been over 7 months since we have been promised refunds for issues and we still have not received any information as to where it all stands!! I am very very disappointed with this company and all of their lies and false promises. DO NOT USE THIS COMAPANY! read more

I had a contract with them for a few years regular maintenance. I think they came every month but I'm still not sure. it took me about five phone calls to eventually cancel the service. The reason I canceled the service is because even after being a loyal customer for several years being 40 bucks a month they still wanted to charge me about $300 to take down a birds nest. It was exposed it was next to my driveway the only reason I called is because I couldn't go up the ladder at the time. I eventually did take care of it it took me two minutes. I'm not the only one take a look at the other reviews and also check the Better Business Bureau there are lots of complaints of this nature against these guys. I used Buffalo exterminating when they were local. I ordered the 3 month summer exterior spray and last summer they showed up twice and I paid even though they never did the back of the house. I let that slide when I realized they had my old phone number and couldn't call me to put my dogs in the garage. But the 3rd time, no phone call, no bill left st my house but received a bill in the mail a few weeks ago, 10 months later. I know they didn't spray my whole yard because my dogs were never put in the garage for the service to come. Maybe I should pay half the bill for them Spraying half the yard. I'm done with them. Everyone we've dealt with was incredibly knowledgeable and ridiculously nice. However, smart and nice only works when they actually show up. The initial phone call and first visit was wonderful. Very nice and intelligent people. However, part of our package was "unlimited follow up visits until all mice are gone." We have now scheduled three follow up appointments since that first visit and they only showed up once. No phone calls before or after to apologize. And the one time they actually did show up was because my wife called and complained about the first missed appointment. We still have mice three weeks later and can't get a hold of anybody after 5 hours of trying to reschedule this latest missed appointment. They all seem like very nice, well intended people, but showing up only 33% of the time makes us think we are definitely not getting our money's worth for what we paid. read more

They called me 8 hours after my June appointment was supposed to happen that I stayed home for to let me know it would be rescheduled. I never heard from them again. Their billing department is an absolute scam. !!! DO NO SIGN up with these people. Be careful what you sign up for. They will extra-charge! We had a credit card on file with them, yet we still had to call every month to tell them to use it. After a year, we said, enough was enough. And then, we found out that we were being billed for an extra charge that was not part of our original contract. On 9 Sep, I had an Ehrlich rep at my seasonal property in Western New York to check out an insect problem. The rep stated he would need to consult with other company personnel and would get back to me in 1 or 2 days. I never heard from him again despite trying to contact him by phone and text for the next 5 days. Whenever I tried phoning the Ehrlich call center, I got someone new that had no knowledge of my case. I finally rescheduled another inspection for the morning of 15 Sep through the call center. After waiting all morning, the inspector was a no show! When I called to complain, I was told no supervisors were available to speak to me but someone would be out to my property by the end of the day. Surprise, after waiting until the end of the day, another no show! I can not rely on this company and suggest you do not either. This was a major waste of my time. read more

I have an issue with things with more than 4 legs . So I got a package from this business. The office staff was friendly and answered my questions while I was getting signed up. But that's the last I've heard from (Alina) them. I had to reschedule on Sat. So I left a message and a email on Sat. No one contacted me back so on Sunday I also left a message. The office never called me back. But the Exterminator who was scheduled to do my house did . He called because no one let him know that I called to change the date / time. He was great . Made me feel better. I rescheduled the Appt. With him . He came to my house and did the job and answered all my questions. I think his name was mike. We paid $400 under the impression that they would fix the rodent problem we were having. We had 3 different men tell us they would get it done. The first guy set the traps wrong, the traps were too big for the boxes they were put it rendering them useless. We were told we would get a free visit due to this. On the 3rd visit, my husband asked the technician how it was going and he told him he would let him know. He packed up all the equipment and left without any conversation. When we contacted Elrich, we were told he would call us and he never did. $400 for 3 visits, one of which was just them collecting their boxes. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!! You could save a fortune by setting your own .69 rat traps, which is essentially all they did. read more

We hired Ehrlich to perform year round pest control shortly after we purchased a lake front home and noticed lots of cluster flies, beetles and spiders inside the house. We agreed to a yearly contract and continued our relationship for almost 8 years. Throughout that time, we continued to see these pests, although not at the intensity we observed in 2008/2009. About a year ago, the intensity really picked up and we called to complain. A rep came to our home and suggested we consider a monthly extermination. We asked for some type of credit since we felt we were paying a monthly fee (for a seasonal service recommended by the sales rep) for an outcome that was unacceptable. They were not receptive so we terminated our contract and hired a local pest control service. I am writing this now because we have had 2 visits by this local company and we have not seen one cluster fly, one beetle and the spiders have been drastically reduced. read more
