We have used them in the past to rid us of wasps and just this week, we needed them again. Called them at 1:30pm on a Wednesday and told them that we had hornets under our front concrete step. They said they could have a guy go look at our situation that same afternoon! When I got home at 5:30, I could see that they had dusted the area and there was no activity at all coming from the step. Then when the owner calls back and says he will listen to the phone calls to see how his company is being represented by her, he doesn't even call back to apologize after 6 days, so we aren't expecting to hear from him either. We have had such tremendously terrible customer service experience with these people. We noticed a bee infestation problem outside one of our bedroom windows with many bees coming and going behind the wooden siding boards. Phoned on Friday evening to set up an appointment. Appointment set up for ~9:30am this morning. At around 8:15 am I received a phone call, the lady couldn't hear me apparently although I could hear her crystal clear. She called back 2 times saying she couldn't hear me. I didn't even realize who it was at first since the caller ID said "Comfort Pest" so I thought it was one of the other places calling back to talk to me about the bee problem. I was in a meeting at work. Then I received another call from the same number, this time a man, at ~8:40 who said that they had cancelled our appointment and that someone would have to call back to the office to set up a new appointment. I was like "what are you taking about? Why? And why do I need to call back when you're on the phone now? what do you want?" But he was a little adversarial in his manner and would not discuss it. He said if you want to set up an appointment then you'll have to call back and pay in advance. I was a little taken aback by his attitude and demeanor quite frankly. I was in exactly the same office with exactly the same phone answering the same call to the same company and apparently he could hear me just fine! By this time I was perturbed to say the least. Who does business this way? So rude! and so unhelpful! Regardless, my partner, Ethan, phoned them back after work to find out what happened, after all we were told that nobody needed to be home for the apt., and to set up another appointment. The lady that answered the phone told him there'd be a missed appointment charge!!! But she didn't know how much it would be and that he'd have to discuss it with the technician that would phone him back. When Ethan told me this I almost blew my top! It was them who cancelled the appointment. They who behaved unprofessionally and discourteously. They who failed to communicate what their procedures were, and why didn't they ask for payment up front when we phoned to set up the appointment in the first place? Shabby service altogether! Plus every time we've phoned there they answer on like the 1000th ring! (Yes I'm exaggerating but the phone is ringing for a long time before anybody answers) I am absolutely not paying any damn charges for any damn company that can't get their act together and I'm certainly not paying for a cancellation fee for a service that they cancelled. The way I feel right now is if they were the last extermination company on earth I would never call them again! When we phoned to make the appointment we were not informed that somebody would be calling us early in the morning to take payment before somebody would come out. The lady that called sounded annoyed from the get go that she couldn't hear me! I have no idea why she couldn't hear me I don't have any issues with my phone whatsoever! I'm sick and tired of companies providing terrible customer service and then blaming the damn customer for their inadequacy. I am Vice President of a small manufacturing company employing ~100 people here in WNY, and if any of my people behaved like this, then there would be a huge problem. I asked Ethan to call them back and tell them we don't want any services from them and that we'll be going elsewhere. Guess who will not be performing any such services at my company in the future either?! Shoddy disgraceful service all around. I'd give them less than zero stars if it were possible. The kids saw bees in the basement and got stung for their trouble. I called Amherst Exterminators at 1030 am and John was out by 3 pm. He removed a nest from the basement and sprayed "dust" to the exterior wall entry point to keep the other buggers away. He said it may take up to 7 days for them to stop returning to the entry point and if I see them thereafter to call back for a second spray. I will keep an eye on the area and am hopeful that this is our one and only run in with those blasted yellow jackets.
