I am a sucker for anything new. New flavors of chips, new drink flavors, and new restaurants. The exception is Dill Pickle flavored Chips. I cant bring myself to try that one. Culvers is the newest fast food place to darken the landscape in Meridian. They seem to come on the heels of Freddie's offering Frozen Custard like Freddie's does. If you have not yet had a chance to try frozen custard, you need to do this right now. Frozen custard is way better than regular ice cream. Frozen Custard is very creamy and does not seem to cause as much of an issue with my daughters lactose intolerance for some reason. Today, I decided to give Culvers a shot and get a burger and fries from them. I started with the fries because I love good fries. Culver's fries are crinkle cut which Im sorry to say is the best thing I can say about them. Crinkle cut fries are the best. Im not sure if its because the crinkles hold salt better, they get crispier or what, but they are my favorite fry. Here is where the story though is over for their fries. They are tasteless. My guess is that they are straight out of a bag of frozen fries. On my scale of 1-10, I give them a -4. Now on to the burger. It is a common and ordinary burger cooked on a flat top. My wife and daughter said its pretty similar to Arctic Circle. If you like their burgers, you will probably like these. The burger has almost no flavor at all. The meat is greasy and...well there is just no much of anything good I can say here. The only flavor I got from eating it was the bacon. I would rank it right up there as one of the worst fast food burgers I have had. If you want something similar that has a decent flavor to it, go to Freddie's. I can say that the service is good with the people there, they are very nice and friendly but the communication between the front and back is a little hectic and can get your food mixed up as I watched them do that a few times. It's funny listening to them go "And so it begins" "Here we go" sounds like they get busy and everyone is just trying to make it through the day. They did get my order right I think. The only thing that was weird for me was that the fries looked like a small size. The bacon burger was delicious better than Freddie's. The one thing that surprised me was the cheese curds and I am not a fan but they were really good. The grilled chicken was bland but the burgers are great. Have been waiting over 30 minutes in the drive thru with over 8 cars behind me being served prior, many with food. Very clear that my order was forgotten or given to a different customer, but not a single employee checked or gave explanation until asked. I understand simple mistakes, but diligence to customer service is clearly not a priority. A little humility and asking what I ordered would've gone a long way. read more

Food very tasty although i would recommend that the staff pay more attention to delivering food while it is still hot. You do have quite a wait as well because the drive thru orders appear to get preference. The custard is excellent! Nectar time well likely just use the rive thru for dessert. read more

The food was fast AND delicious! The double deluxe was so fresh and such a good burger all around! You MUST try the cheese curds with their cheese sauce, it's life changing! Had that chicken bacon cranberry blue cheese salad recently. Nice big bowl of salad... but wait! The bowl is domed in the center so it just looks like a nice big bowl of salad. No complaints about the greens or the 2 plum tomatoes and the 2 slices of cucumber, but that chicken... oh my. How do they manage to get gristle in EVERY SINGLE BITE! One of our favorite Friday night eateries. Quality and care are the two main ingredients here. Never a gamble. Bigger than average menu. Mostly burgers and fries but with fish and chips and pot roast dinner as added options. Everything we've tried has been good, and nicely presented. Nothing worse than spending the money to take your family out and having the food show up sloppily put together, that won't happen here. The young staff seems very well managed, it's obvious that friendliness is high priority here. Either they all really care or they're great at pretending. Culver's is counter service, but with a restaurant feel. Tons of cozy seating, more like an IHOP than a fast food place. They over charge you and refuse coupons on meals. I have proof that the coupon works on our order and Matt tonight denied the coupon and we only got 1 side on the fish vs 2 like last night. I actually ate at the Culvers in Longmont, Colorado, but since it's a chain establishment, I'm guessing that the one in Meridian is the same. I had lunch with a frequent diner fan. She told me they offered a Kid's Deal which included your choice of burger, good fries, a drink, and a scoop of their fabulous ice cream. It did not disappoint! The serving of fries was kid-sized, but the burger was not. The meat was flavorful and served on a bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles: the works! You get to have it "your way" at this spot, too. Delicious! The meal was under $5, which was a heck of a bargain!!! read more

I stopped by with the kids on a whim as I had seen Culver's a couple of times while driving in the area. The restaurant was clean for the most part. My interactions with the staff was lack luster. Definitely not service with a smile. We ordered the cod fish sandwich and a three piece cod fish meal. The food was delivered hot and appealing, however the meal was served with no utensils. I had to wait at the counter for assistance as there are no utensils available at the condiment kiosk. My kids said they enjoyed the sandwich, not the best but acceptable. My cod fish was flaky and moist. I really enjoyed. It comes with two sides and a roll. The sides were not so great. The slaw was drenched in mayonnaise and the quantity of fries was a small humorous portion. We took some chocolate custard on a cone to go and that was creamy and enjoyable on this warm afternoon. If I am in the area and craving fish or a cold snack I will definitely give them another try. read more

First time visiting and purchased a pint of prepackaged Butter Brickle and it was solid vanilla custard with absolutely nothing in it! I would have returned it, had it not been that I tossed a receipt and brought it to the park to eat it was family. Very disappointing. Just tried to get food through the drive thru, butter burger and fries. I had number 132, pulled up behind 3 cars in front of me. Those 3 cars got their food and then so did the next 7 cars that had pulled up behind me. The food runners saw me sitting there, no one asked me if I needed help or was I waiting for something but they walked right past me. I had to call explain the issue of my missing order to the manager Taylor, he didn't try to explain, no offer to make it right, no apology, just said wow that shouldn't of happened. Gee you think it shouldn't of happened, that's very astute of you. Now that you have shown you are a real life Sherlock Holmes, how about you learn about customer service. I completely understand that mistakes happen but teach what is proper when they do. read more

3 of the 4 times I have been here I have been forgotten about and waited it my car for at least 45 minutes to get my food. Each time the manager talks me into coming back. This last time was the last and I waited 54 minutes for 2 milk shakes and was forgotten about 3 times in 1 Visit and the excuse was I'm sorry we have never been this busy. I'm kinda torn on this review. Staff was great and the Butterburger was tasty. However, it was barely room temp. Hot food is 101 when it comes to meal prep. It's the primary job you have as a restaurant. Both of our burgers were so cold the cheese still had sharp edges and wasn't melted at all. We aren't ones to complain so ate the meal without returning them. But there's a good chance we won't be returning to Culver's. They just don't have the basics figured out. read more

Indigo was fighting her nap and winning, so we went out for coffee. We got there and she was asleep, so I found a drive through. That drive through was at Culvers. I ordered a the original butter burger with all the fixings and the custard of the day, butter pecan. The butter burger was fabulous, no grisly unpleasantness, and I ate the burger so fast I don't really remember any other details. The custard, the custard, the custard. I think you should try it without any preconceived ideas. Now the customer service was great! The gal working the drive through was helpful, polite and quick. The girl bringing the food to the car in front of me was funny and we briefly discussed the mini thunderstorm that was occurring. The young man who brought me my food was friendly and smiley. Indigo has no comment, she was napping. I recommend this place for the customer service and custard. i recently read an article that said that culver's was #2 burger chain in the nation behind in n out so obviously i had to go and see what the hype was about. i have been before for the custard but didn't really feel like reviewing just for that. (it's really good in case you want to know!) we ordered 2 double cheeseburgers and a large cheese curd and a large fry to split. it was a lot of food. the burgers were very fresh tasting and i liked that the patties tasted like they had just been grilled. they had a charred flavor to them. the burger also had american cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and mayo. my only complaint was the entire thing lacked salt or seasoning. it tasted like they didn't put salt on anything. and i'm not really a salt fiend, it just was under seasoned. i also didn't like the bun very much- my husband and i debated on that one as he said the bun was excellent. so i guess it just depends on your tastes! the cheese curds were okay. i wasn't a huge fan of the breading on them. the fries were pretty good though- crinkle cut is always a good choice! i think we will likely be back, but i will have to try some other stuff on the menu. or maybe i will just get custard! haha! read more

I really liked it here! $8 for a Cod Filet sandwich with Krinkle Kut fries and a drink. Didnt walk away feeling hungry which was good. It has a homey feel with photos on the wall and they bring your food out. I noticed they've got custard, their own Root Beer, Cheese Curds and a feeling I dont usually get when I go to a place like this. Way better than Chick-Fil-A down the road which I dont have much good to say about. Wanna come back and try the Reuben which isnt easy to find one that's good read more

I looked to see if it was a mess from dropping it and saw only one burger. He again said he was sorry and ran back in. Brought the burger he dropped back out to us and said the other will be out soon. REALLY!!! Can I get the together and hot???? Answer to that is no. Nedlxt one came out cold and unseasoned.
