After seeing Culver's popping up across the US with an aggressive expansion path, I finally had an opportunity to try their signature Butterburger. I oped for cheese, with onions, mustard, ketchup and lettuce. Like so many menu items these days, the burger was not massively impressive in terms of serving size for the price. Now, the Butter bun was unique and tasty. All of their burgers seem to be served with two freshly-made patties that are relatively thin. It's an interesting way to serve the same amount of meat in one single patty. The burger overall tasted fresh, but still had the mostly common makings of a menu item from a chain restaurant. Will I go back for another try at Culver's? Very likely. read more

I am disappointed with my recent experience. After waiting about 15 minutes for our food, we were given the wrong order. When I notified the employee, I was initially told the order was correct because the receipt matched. I explained that the food in the bag did not. While mistakes happen, what followed was unacceptable. We then waited in the carpool lane while multiple cars behind us received their food and left. I eventually went inside to ask about our order. Several employees were polite, apologetic, and thanked me for my patience. My concern is with the "manager" on duty, Alexis. Although I was given a hamburger and ice cream gift card, Alexis never spoke to me directly or apologized. When I finally received our order, I asked if he could understand my frustration after waiting so long and seeing employees standing around. His only response was, "Have a nice day." The error was frustrating, but the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service from "management" was far more disappointing. Losing one customer may not matter much, but a "manager" who responds to legitimate concerns with indifference will undoubtedly cost you more than one. This makes me so sad to update my review, but to quote my 11-year-old daughter as we left the dining room tonight, "Goodbye Culver's... forever." Their food is decent (I will always hold a special place in my heart for their gluten-free bun). But their inconsistency of getting your order right and the ridiculous wait time is something that I can no longer ignore. It took us over 25 minutes to get our food tonight. Half the order was wrong, my daughter's corn dog looked like it had been torched, and then it took another 20 minutes after that to make things right. I want to add that this is not the first time we've had an experience like this at Culver's. Unfortunately, this is the norm now. We walked into a long line of people waiting for a cashier...then a cashier walked through the crowd announcing that systems were down and the only option was to order from the table. We were able to find a table quickly and ordering from the table was easy to do (you can sign in to the app from web ordering and apply discounts from your app account which is nice). The joint was hopping with a full wrap in drive-thru and the dining area about 1/3rd full. It took 26 minutes to get our order and once received, the server forgot our drinks. Our food did not look appetizing and after sitting there for that long and starving, I wasn't eager to eat. It looked like someone sat on the butter burger bun top and my onion rings were so over fried or the oil was old, that the rings were dark, dark brown. To make matters worse, the burgers and sides were lukewarm at best. I wanted to desperately love the pub burger but it was incredibly dry...even the fresh veggies couldn't bring enough moisture to make it taste good. The garlic sauce was just a hint of garlic...I was hoping for a burst of flavor. At least the cheese was melted, though cold melted from sitting so long. When ordering I asked for the single butter burger basket and added a cheese curd side. I was handed a number and sat down at a table. When the food came it was minus the fries and drink cup. I told the delivery employee and a cup was retrieved but no fries. Not the end of the world and they were busy. Instead I ordered some crinkle cut fries with cheddar sauce and more cheese curds from the table, online (it'll tell them which table you're at). This worked just as advertised. The food was super good, awesome burger and as mentioned, the curds were good enough to get a second order. Yumm. I'm glad too as I rode 380 miles just to try a Culver's out. This was my very first time visiting Culver's, and if first impressions are a good sign of what's to come, I'm definitely excited to return again and again! I received a friendly coupon in the mail welcoming me to the neighborhood, and while reading it, I noticed they have a rewards program through their app, so I happily downloaded it. When I arrived at the restaurant, I chose to dine in because I wanted to ask some questions about the menu items. I'm a very visual person, so instead of reading everything, I decided to check out their colorful menu displayed on the marquee. It took a little while because there was a couple ahead of me asking a lot of questions, but the staff was so patient and helpful. When it was my turn, I asked about what is a butter burger, and Ashley, the manager, explained that it's called that because the buns are buttered. Having never tried something like that at a restaurant, I found it sounded incredibly tasty! To my surprise, they had a Swiss mushroom burger on the menu, so I ordered that as a combo and decided to upgrade with crispy onion rings--they were so delicious and perfectly crunchy, and I couldn't resist eating them first! I loved that I could customize my soda with as much or as little ice as I wanted since they have a soda fountain, and I could help myself to ketchup and mustard from the refill dispensers, or use the packets if I preferred. Ashley explained that since I downloaded the app, I could get a discount on my first order and earn bonus points, which I took advantage of, keeping a $10 off coupon for a future visit--there's generally a 90-day expiration on the mailing coupon, so I'll be sure to use it soon. It's such a great perk to download the app because you get a discount and earn rewards! I also treated myself to their special strawberry vanilla custard, which was truly delicious. While reading the paper placemat, I learned that this company started in Wisconsin back in 1984. My double Swiss mushroom burger was cooked perfectly, and I opted to add raw onions instead of grilled, which was a tasty choice. The bun was flavorful and toasted just right--never soggy. I really appreciate how they recognize their employees with plaques on the wall and how spotless the restrooms are, plus they have a baby changing table stocked with supplies, which is thoughtful for families. The restrooms also had beautiful fresh flowers on the sink--a delightful touch I've rarely seen in fast food places! I definitely look forward to visiting again whenever I crave a delicious burger, tasty sides, and a fantastic frozen dessert. Our daughter told us she liked Culvers so today, Sunday, we came for lunch. It was about 1:15 and the place was crowded, which is good for Culvers. My wife ordered a Butter Burger, no cheese or mayo, and fries. I ordered the Sourdough Melt and fries. We cleaned our own table, which I get as the place was crowded and the staff were working hard. We got our food in a timely way. Unfortunately, my wife's had cheese on it. She brought the burger back up to the counter and they were apologetic, and brought another out fairly quickly, but alas, this one had mayo on it. So, like so many other reviewers, our order was not made right. The patties are thin but they are flavorful. The krinkle cut fries are average. I like mine crispy. Don't know if you can ask for them that way but otherwise I would not order them again. The staff are nice, but the ambience is fast-food busy, not tidy or especially clean, and the food so-so. LOVE Culver's! Look at my Culver's reviews. Literally, I have seen BETTER organized riots! Gave our order in slow fashion, paid for it and 20 minutes later the Mrs goes up and asks about it. "Here you go", was the response and it wasn't what we ordered!!!! Wife had to give them the order, AGAIN, then about 5-10 minutes later our order was done. Amazing! We pre ordered a pick up 2 hours before the pick up time. When my husband got there he had to wait 20 minutes. When he got home he realized they didn't account for his burger. Waiting 20 mins for dinner YOU PREORDER and then not getting part of your meal is ridiculous. He also said it was extremely hot inside. All they offered were coupons or he had to drive back. He drove back. Waste of time and gas. Fish and chips were sub par, tasted like the oil needed to be changed in the fryer. I have heard good things about a couple of menu items over the past few weeks and decided to come out and give them a shot. Disappointed doesn't even describe the taste that was left in my mouth (both literally and figuratively). I ordered 3 different menu items that are all seemingly easy to make. Fried pickles, cheese curds, and custard is what I requested and when I finally got home the custard had essentially diminished to milk (if it was ever custard to begin with) and I had two lackluster orders of cheese curds that were chewy and cold. I am almost fascinated at the fact that my custard got warm and melted while my lickles apparently disguised as cheese curds got cold and hard and it leaves me wondering if they are mixing up the appliances. read more

I had never been to a Culver's until today, In fact I only recently heard of them. A co-worker of mine told me they have the BEST burgers stating "they are like meth as a burger! Super addictive!" So yeah, she talked me into going for my lunch break today. I went through the drive thru and wanted to try a burger with a pretzel bun they had advertised on their menu board but unfortunately I was told they were no longer making the pretzel burgers so I pivoted to trying their sourdough double melt burger in a combo with iced tea, fries and the boom boom sauce. I must say their burgers are very good. The patties are really thin so I'm glad I got it as a double burger but they are tasty and I'd say the burgers patties are comparable with Freddy's steakburgers which is one of my favorite fast food burger joints. The burger was hot with delicious melted cheese and toasted sourdough. I didn't realize there wouldn't be any veggies on the burger so next time i get it, I'm gonna ask for some tomato and onion but all in all it was great. The fries were decent crinkle cut fries but nothing super special. I could take them or leave them. The boom boom sauce was great .. it's like a slightly spicy fry sauce, it enhanced the fries and actually tasted pretty dang good when I dipped my burger in it too. I left with my belly satisfied! I ordered online and it was super easy. Did curbside pickup and it was quick and easy. Service was great, quick and friendly. Food was definitely better than your average FF joint. I got the burger with cheese and fries with a smoothie. The burger was fresh and tasty, they actually have a cheddar cheese option and not just your typical American. The fries are crinkle cut and fried nicely. This maybe the only FF joint that offers crinkle cut. Nice differentiation from other places. For my drink, I opted for the smoothie with peach that I didn't really care for it. It has a strong lemon base to it and was not a real fruit smoothie. I do love the options you get to choose as you order that will make your meal more or less depending on what you choose. For example, adding bacon or removing something like tomato for -.3 less,etc. I like I know what I am paying for. Since it was curbside, I don't know how the setting was. I visited this location of Culver's with my brother-in-law, and unfortunately, the staff behind the counter seemed to have a negative attitude, especially towards the customers. When my brother-in-law went up to order, the girl at the register (my receipt lists her as Reg3) wouldn't even look at him while he placed our order. Instead, she kept glancing at me or at anything other than him. This felt quite strange, especially since I had never been to a Culver's before; however, my brother-in-law frequently visited because he enjoyed the food and custard. As a first-time visitor, I found the associates to be rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. It was disappointing that the only staff member who smiled or offered a kind word was the busser on my way out; he told me to "have a nice rest of my day." I will say that the food was hot, but my sandwich had almost no condiments--it was as if they had scraped them off. As a result, it lacked flavor, which was surprising considering how my brother-in-law had raved about their delicious and flavorful sandwiches. To add insult to injury, I noticed that the employees were offering free samples of their custard to other customers. While I was eating, I watched them kindly offer custard to every table except for my brother-in-law and me. It was astonishing; even the people in the booth next to us commented on how odd it was that we were skipped. I genuinely don't care if the food had been the most delicious I'd ever tasted (which it wasn't); I would still never return to this location. It was disheartening, especially since my brother-in-law was upset that I disliked the experience as much as I did and found my food both unappetizing and lacking. I would rate this location a 0 out of 10 and definitely would not recommend it. They need to improve their employee training in customer service and learn to smile while on the job. It's disappointing to enter a business where all the employees--and even a supervisor, judging by their different shirts--are frowning and scowling. Personally, if I had been alone, I would have turned around and left right away. Call me old-fashioned, but I love a good Butter Pecan ice cream! I recently recently tried Culver's Butter Pecan frozen custard. It is EXCELLENT! Smooth, creamy, full of pecans, and delicious! The butter pecan flavor is more pronounced than any other butter, pecan ice cream I have tried, due to the generous amount of toasted butter pecans. Normally, the hand packed frozen custard pints at Culver's are $4.99 each. I picked up two flavors, but the helpful employee at the cash register encouraged me to go and pick up two more for just a couple more dollars. They were having a sale, offering Party Packs of 4 pints for just $3 each. I was told that starting starting yesterday, they were just going to be $2.50 each. I assume that this is a Super Bowl special. Culver's is open until 10 PM tonight, so you have still have time to run out and get 4 pints for $10. Culver's sells a special Party Pack Cooler for $8; it fits 4 pints. Once you have one, you can bring it back and get 4 pints for $2.50 each anytime you want. I declined because it was so cold outside that I didn't think there would be any issue with me getting my frozen custard home without melting. Also, I hadn't tried Culver's frozen custard before, so I didn't know how well I was going to like it. Boy, was that dumb! I have since tried two other flavors, Chocolate and Mint Cookie. Both were outstanding! I will soon try Georgia Peach. There's no doubt in my mind it will be just as good. I recently tried the chili too. It is excellent! Highly Recommended!!! 4/14/21 Culver's I went to Culver's in Meridian today to try their walleye. Normally, they have it through the end of April, but they ran out early. So I tried their North Atlantic Cod Filet sandwich ($5.59). For three dollars extra I got it combo style, which includes a generous portion of french fries and a medium drink. This is the best fast food fish sandwich I have had to date. It's a generous portion of high-quality fish that has been perfectly cooked. The cod was nice and flakey. The batter is light but crispy. Everything about the sandwich including the bun, shredded lettuce and cheese was very fresh.I like that you can get extra tartar sauce on the side for no charge. The crinkle cut french fries were excellent.I like that both the fries and sandwich were made to order, as is all of their food. That alone is pretty much a rarity for fast food restaurants these days. As I was getting ready to leave, one of the employees came up and told me they had made an extra caramel milkshake by mistake. They asked if I would like it. I don't normally eat caramel but because I've heard such great things about their frozen custard, I said I would be happy to. The milkshake was excellent! I like that they took the extra step of lining part of the inside of the cup with caramel. P.S. I later tried the Walleye Dinner. It was very good too! Very attractive building, great menu, good service, but, my wife and I were both somewhat disappointed with the food, my burger was HUGE, but the bun was stale and hard? My wife had a fish sandwich which was somewhat tasteless. We drove 12 miles to try this place and will most likely not seek it out again, will most likely go to the HABIT or Freddy's for fast food. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Culver's in Meridian. My wife and I came in for lunch on Sunday just after 1:00 p.m. with a couple of friends and their 4- and 6-year-old kids. The restaurant was busy, but when it was time to order we were greeted by Selah, who welcomed us with a warm smile. It was the kids' first time at Culver's and they weren't quite sure what they wanted. Selah was incredibly patient and kind, asked all the right questions, and made sure the kids got exactly what they wanted. We ordered a couple of dishes of custard for the kids to enjoy after the meal. They had seen a dessert come out topped with M&M's and asked if they could have some on their custard as well. When I went to the counter to pick them up, the store manager, Andrew, helped me. When I asked if I could pay for a small amount of M&M's to add on top, he happily said yes and added them at no charge. I know these may sound like small things, but during the busy Christmas season many places seem to let customer service slide. That was absolutely not the case here. Culvers reminds me of another fast food/ice cream shop I used to frequent, only better. This location is very clean and the staff super friendly. The line was a bit long, but moved quickly. The food is tasty. It's fried fast food, so the bar is set pretty low, but the bites here are yummy without being greasy. The cheese curds are super delicious. The cold treats are very good. My kiddos love the concrete mixers and husband enjoys the shakes. The price point is fantastic as well. Worth a stop in! read more

I'd been drooling and dreaming over Culver's famous Butterburgers and ice cream for months now and finally decided to brave the Eagle Road Rage plus lunch-hour traffic to satisfy my growling belly. I totally understand this was to be expected considering the time of day. What is frustrating is waiting 25 minutes for tasteless, bland food. I thought Culver's was better than that! I was by myself and hate wasting food so I passed on ice cream this time figuring this would be the first of many visits. But now I'm not so sure if I'll return. I ordered the ButterBurger Cheese with Crinkle Fries ($7.79 for a combo meal). The burger features two never-frozen beef patties, american cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato and some kind of mayo-based sauce. While the ingredients did taste fresh, there was zero flavor. My taste buds were confused! Even drenched in their just-okay fry sauce hardly added any kind of pizzazz. The same went for the fries. Hardly salted, and didn't provide any kind of taste. At least they were crispy. Sadly, I only ate about half the burger before setting it aside, and maybe about 7 fries. My high-metabolism blesses me to be able to eat virtually whatever and not feel guilty, but I couldn't even do it with this meal. My conscious felt bad even with just how little I ate. A waste of calories, time and money. And did I mention - I absolutely HATE throwing food away. Thank God it was only $8.00. Will I go back to try the ice cream? Was that my greatest mistake to omit it this trip? I don't know. I don't want to wait 30 minutes during rush hour for ice cream I may/may not enjoy. Sigh. Oh well. The manager, Matt , has excellent customer service every time we go there. When we save up tokens for prizes for the kids, we went yesterday and he kept trying to find a needle to pump air into the ball we wanted, and since he couldn't he went ahead gave us the full pumped up ball in the display cabinet. Been going to Culver's for years. Always, or in the past, I have enjoyed the "flavor of the day" custard. Tonight went for Turtle Dove. Wife and I ordered two orders of the turtle dove. Was handed vanilla custard with a chocolate dust on top. I parked and walked in to show the manager what I received. She apologized and made two new orders. I looked at them and asked, where is the Carmel, pecans and chocolate? She told me it was mixed in the custard. Well....there was two pecan slivers, a literal drop of Carmel and almost no chocolate pieces. I did not even eat it. I'm not a fan of just vanilla custard. For months this has become the normal when ordering a Custard Flavor of the day. You never get the goodies that is advertised and posted on a photo board. I told my wife that Dairy Queen has become 10 times better and I really do not want to return to Culver's. We eat there also and do enjoy the food. But even that has become less desirable. I only wish the local owner would read stuff like my comments so improvement could be made. When things like this continue you loose one, then two and more customers don't go back. It will be a while before I try Culver's for a final visit to see if I ever go back. I'll attach a picture of what it is supposed to look like. Maybe a year ago, it look like the photo.
