I've been to this Culvers twice and both times they got my order wrong. Today I specifically asked for no tomato or pickles on my sandwich and a small drink. I got a large drink (yes, its free product but I do not need the sugar). I also had tomatoes and pickles on my sandwich, The juice from those soaked into the lettuce so there was no getting rid of the taste. I pitched the whole thing in the trash and went without lunch. When I arrived at the drive thru window and the employee taking the orders is jabbering away about her social life to another female employee instead of paying attention, I should have known. When we want a little treat we head to Culvers because we love their bacon cheeseburger snack pack. Great food without being a horridly overwhelming heavy meal. I also love their Boston Cream flavor ice cream and am a fan of other flavors as well. Tonight I found 3 hairs in my green beans. Alsthough that was rather gross, it does happen. i CALLED the branch at which I had ordered the food and they gave me profuse apologies and offered a coupon by mail for free food when I declined their offer of a replacement. I have eaten culver so much since I'm so close to one I'm kinda sick of it now lol, food is still awesome though. However I would like to write a review about the customer service at this location which is amazing. My son begs to go there every day simply for the friendly interaction from the staff. When they aren't busy they talk to him while he waits for his order. He goes nearly every day for at least a fry, a scoop of custard, a drink, or a full order for the family. I visited this newly openned culvers while on a business trip to brookfield. I found it to be expensive and a let down . The menu selections were a hodge-podge of items that can be picked up at pretty much any drive-thru. No originality, although I guess thats hard to find at a franchise, It'll do in a pinch read more

Went here a few weeks ago and Darius (?) was working. He and Anthony are so sweet and even though I ordered two chicken tenders (did you know you can order them one by one?!?!?!?!?), they laughed with me and didn't tell me I was completely crazy.... Also, the custard is always on point and it's so nice to have such great customer service. Seriously. Culvers has great food, but this review is about the employees at this particular Culvers. I have two elderly parents, one in a wheelchair and it is difficult taking them out, especially when stores/restaurants are not easily accessible and people don't/won't lend a hand. More than once at this Culvers, the employees literally jumped to help us with doors, getting to the table and.....grabbing an umbrella to hold over my mother as we walked to the car. I went to Culvers today with my grandson. I inquired about a coupon we were supposed to get in the mail for a meal that was totally wrong. I had ordered the cod and when I opened it at home, it was a shrimp dinner. My son has cerebral palsy and cannot eat shrimp. I had complained about previous meals that were terrible. For what you pay at this HIGH priced FAST FOOD place, it should be made right!! I was treated terrible by Chris, the manager. He was very ignorant to me. He said that he was informed by the owner, Guy to not issue me any more coupons and from now on I needed to come in and check my order to make sure it's right. I use the drive thru for convenience, I do not think I need to come in and check his employee's work. I have never in my 63 yrs. been insulted or treated like this at any other business. Culvers used to be good when it first opened. It has gotten worse every year and the prices have gone up so much. I could go to a sit down restaurant and get quality food for less than what it costs me for a meal there. I cannot believe their managers are trained to treat paying customers like I was treated tonight. Instead of berating their customers, the managers should help with the upkeep of the restrooms. My family and I went to the location at Lyons around 9pm last night and we could clearly tell that some managers had a terrible attitude toward several of the employees who were working that night. The place is not so big so anybody could clearly hear everything said. I could tell that the organization is terrible and abusive. Worst of all, the prices are ridiculous. Not coming back again. You are greeted here with a smile and making sure your order is correct if you get Dan behind the register. Dan is "The Man" and is so pleasant it starts your dining experience off on a great note. I had the Chicken Cashew Salad which is a good portion and very tasty. The salad is fresh and has large pieces of chicken, cashews, tomatoes, cheese, and other things. I give the drive thru workers 5 stars for pleasant, friendly service. BUT, I am tired of ordering the FOD and getting home with vanilla custard with so little of the FOD flavor that I can't tell it from plain vanilla. I just had Pumpkin Pecan FOD. No pumpkin, few pecans. I've had key lime pie custard with NO key lime. I don't know if it is because we usually come in the evenings and they run out of the FOD and try to fake it, or what. Sadly the food is fun and good when they get it right. This is not a joke, almost every time that I have been there lately the employees don't get the orders right and they are rude about it and not helpful. They won't tell you about the specials they run either when you are ordering those so called specials (mixer deals people, Mon-Thurs, around 3/3:30-5ish mixer shorts buy one get one!) and then charge you full price unless you mention the deal or special. They will then say wait I'll check and then oh yeah sorry. And then for some reason have an attitude about it. It's very expensive compared to other competitors. And they will still charge you for a bun even when you don't want one at all. Portillos won't charge you for a bun. That's sucks for gluten free people. And we don't like the gluten free bun either. The restaurant was great when they first opened years ago but has declined each year after. The older gentleman that works there is the best. He is constantly cleaning and helping people and even is kind behind the counter. Different generation obviously as the younger kids there are rude. Too many times now with mistakes and rudeness. Been waiting to post on Yelp, giving them another try after try to make things better there but here I am sadly giving a poor review. :( read more

First, I'll say that I am a HUGE Culver's fan-I've been going to Culvers for nearly 10 years, and have visited many locations in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan. I've learned that every Culver's has a distinct personality that is driven by the store's management - I so want to love this place because it's so close to where I live, but on 3 out of 4 visits, there was something wrong each time, and the manager on duty seemed indifferent. The last time we visited, it was just for ice cream. I ordered vanilla custard topped with fresh raspberries, which is normally a wonderful thing. Not so when you receive your ice cream and all that's on there is some rasberry juice. I showed it to the manager, who looked rather embarrassed, and then added some berries, but didn't take the time to correct the employee or offer any sort of apology-I felt like I was bothering him. Another occassion, my dining companion ordered a chicken sandwich and received a tiny piece of breaded chicken on a bun, not consistent with what we've had at other Culver's locations. We tried to point this out, and let a manager know, but the worker bees were in no hurry to get a manager to the front. They looked at us with that blank "Why are you bothering me?" look. So, we won't be going out of our way for this place, and I wish it were different, 'cause I love Culvers. read more

whenever i've been there it takes at least 10 minutes for the food to get to me, and then they still have high ass prices compared to other options within 5 miles of it. good food, but speed and price suck in my opinion! still willing to try it but it's somewhat a distance away from where i live. read more
