Chicago dog

If you visit the area and don't visit Parky's, I honestly don't know what you're doing. This place is LEGIT old school. The fries are fire, the Chicago dog is everything it should be and the service is *CHEF's KISS* perfection. It's a little hot dog stand and in that way, the ambience is AMAZE BALLS. Don't miss this hidden gem. It's been around forever for a reason.

I'm so glad they are back! Parky's has amazing French Fries! I go Italian combo or beef hot dog. If there is a crowd don't be afraid, they are fast. The crowd is just proof you are in the right place.

Ok I had a couple of bites already cuz I was hungry.

Went here for a quick bite. Ordered the Chili cheese dog with some fries and my husband ordered the chicago hot dog and chili dog. I liked the flavor of mine. Service was fast, staff was friendly and efficient. They have their own parking .

When I lived in Oak Park, this was my go-to place for dogs and sausage. Chili was outstanding. Great folks that worked there as well.

Absolutely best Italian Sausage in the area, and it's not close. Cash only of course.

Simply one of the best hotdogs and fries the Chicago area has to offer. Love their fries (with salt)!

Terribly run business. The lady in charge always seems frantic and overwhelmed. Low quality hot dogs. A little pricey.

Down-to-earth, humble spot for some Chicago fast food!…read more They have gyros, hot dogs, burgers, shish-kabob, Italian beef, fries, onion rings, and more. When I was here I got the #8 Greek chicken which was nicely seasoned broiled chicken, garlic bread, and rice. It came piping hot and fresh and served with a drink. I loved it! Their fries and onion rings were delicious, too. Pop's totally reminds me of a true Chicagoan spot for some grub - you'll see locals coming in and out while talking with the staff (because they're regulars) about the Bears, work, or construction nearby on I-90 (very Chicagoan). I loved the lowkey and charming feel here. Their pricing is affordable with most combos (including fries and a drink) being under $11. It's better to eat individually or with 1 person if you want to dine-in since they don't have tables inside, just a built-in tabletop against the walls so you're facing the window/wall when you eat. I recommend taking your food to-go. The 2 men at the counter helping me were personable and approachable. Located in a tiny stip mall off the busy street, this place is a small spot with convenient parking right out in front. Pop's is one humble fast-food place that serves up fresh menu items and Chicago classics. I'd recommend it!

There's a table and window seats for fine in, the young man who took our order was very friendly and polite. We ordered a steak sandwich with fries and a combo (beef and sausage) the steak sandwich was decent size it just needed a more seasoning, the fries were crinkle cut frozen fries (we prefer fresh cut) and needed to be a crispier. The combo was tasty and good size. I give this restaurant 4 stars nice little spot. Try it out and let me know what you think. Ciao, Ciao for now.

For only $7, the Italian beef sandwich was incredibly tender, juicy, savory, and packed with flavor. Even with how popular the place is, the line moved surprisingly fast and the whole experience felt easy and efficient. Our only regret was having to fight the urge to order a second sandwich! We had another meal planned and needed to save room, but we easily could have eaten another one. Such a great first taste of Chicago and definitely worth the stop.

It's a small, no-frills, old-school spot where you walk in, know what you want, pay cash, and watch your food come together almost instantly. I got the Italian beef and fries. The beef was easily my favorite. It had so much flavor, and getting the bun dipped was absolutely the right move. The fries were simple but hit the spot; crispy, fresh, and basically what you'd expect a fast-food fry would taste like. What stood out to me most was how genuinely original the whole place feels. The little building, the outdoor tables, the cash-only setup, the fast-moving line, and the way everyone seems to know exactly what they're doing all add to the experience. You order, they make it right in front of you. Pick it up and go. I can see why people make a point of coming here. It's not just about getting an Italian beef sandwich; it feels like getting a little piece of Chicago. The food is simple, but it has so much character. Nothing feels overdone or reinvented; it's just a classic done really well. Definitely a place I'd come back to next time I'm in Chicago.

I ordered burgers, chicken tenders and the bahn mi chicken sandwich. I only tried the chicken sandwich but it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly spicy (not overly so) and a good ratio of bun to chicken/toppings. One of the burgers vanished before my eyes swiftly so I assume that was delicious also. Fries looked yummy as well. I will definitely be back. Great for pickup but there is also a surprisingly large dining room as well and you can order, get a number and have your food brought to the table. Delicious!

It was ready in under the estimated time it be ready. I was excited. Unfortunately my fries were very soggy and my burger looked nothing like the picture used when you place your order on their app. The lettuce had brownish color, tomatoe was soggy. I decided to give it a bite and it was not a $25 meal. Paying $25 for a burger and fries deserves a much better experience. I wish it was better. Oh yeah, and the brioche bun feel apart after 1 bite. So it was probably past it's life span to serve. I wouldn't even post anything like this if I hadn't spent $25 for a burger and fries.
