Wow! I'm really happy I've finally found a place where the tacos are worth the price. Carne asada tacos were well seasoned and flavorful. They were generously filled and plenty of salsa to go with it. The both salsa were tasty but spicy. I didn't have the red It was too hot for me, the green was also but tacos needed some sauce. = nice to haves - a few slices of lime. Dinnerware some napkins and such. I did without them, but if I were going back to work a jobsite I'd probably ask for them. The place itself was pretty big. So I ordered a Family chicken package worst ever family chicken was Dry no good taste. I tried the chorizo burger with the papa wedges and it was super yummy. The chorizo did not give me heart burn . And the papas are like baked wedges idk regardless fire ass idea . & my top fav are the salads . I am always on the go so it makes it easy to get something healthy but knowing it going to fill me and my cravings . Always looking for a good spot with healthy options too . Went here lunch with my son and had the chix sandwich. During that time there was 6 other tables and only two people working. I commend their hard work because they were running around trying the make sure everything got done. The only reason why im giving it three stars is because my fries where under done and the chicken had a weird texture to it. Flavors were there I just wished that they didnt rush making my meal. My husband and I have been waiting for this place to open up for months. Now that it's open we stopped by for a late lunch after church. We ordered two Parilla chicken and ribs combo. The platers came with 1/2 a chicken which you can choose from 3 flavor (regular, lemon pepper or BBQ), 1/2 a slab of BBQ ribs, home made coleslaw, salad with dressing, 2 pieces of garlic bread and addition side of your choice..we picked potato wedges. OMG it was a ton of food. We both ended taking home half our meal. The ribs were falling off the bone good. The chicken was tender and juicy. My husband I are were really happy with our meal. I've been here twice and on my second I ordered the grilled tilapia with rice and salad. The portions were pretty big, enough for two and it was very tasty. They try so hard. You can tell the owner put a lot of work into this place and wants desperately to succeed. I wish him all the best. The Ribs are delicious. Every thing else is somewhat edible too if not a little bland. The prices fair and the place is clean, but whenever I go in their or drive by, the place is deserted. My friends and I make it a point to support local restaurants whenever we can, and it brings me no pleasure to speak poorly of this establishment. I had the Route 66 burger, and it was fine. I can't say anything negative about the burger, but it only just met my expectations. The french fries, however, failed to meet my standards. I'm fairly certain they're straight from a frozen bag that you would find in a grocery store. They were crisp, and effectively flavorless. I can attest that the rest of my party felt similarly about their meals. The staff was very nice and helpful, although we were put into a strange situation in which one of the staff members decided to wait on us, as we were under the impression that it was a fast-casual affair. I am from Louisiana and stumbled on this place while visiting the area. It was so delicious and the staff was so friendly I made a special trip back for lunch the next day. I had the tilapia both days (it was THAT good) but I did hear several people ordering the ribs, it appears to be a specialty of theirs. Wife ordered a combo dinner and had plenty of leftovers (it's enough for two people). Comes with BBQ ribs that fall off the bone and Chicken (she ordered the the regular grilled chicken - you can order BBQ or lemon pepper too). Daughter had the kids chicken dinner and she liked it too. I mistakenly ordered cream of chicken rice soup thinking it was an included side. It wasn't but they covered the cost for the confusion. I was driving home and remembered seeing good reviews for this place so I pulled off and decided to go with a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. I didn't mind the short wait and when I got home about 15 minutes later my food was still hot and loaded with flavor. Apparently only two guys were working as both cooks and waiters. The portions were big but lacking in flavor. I order the salmon entree and it was so over cooked. We got two chicken avocado sandwiches. They were bland and the texture seemed a little off.

This was my first time ordering from Parilla Express. The chicken that came with the steak was literally falling off the bone, although the stake was rubbery it had a decent flavor, the chicken noodle soup was alright it lacked flavor. If you're going to order from here I would recommend the chicken with rice and beans. P.s if only they sold Mexican style salsa (Chile tomate y cebolla) with home made tortillas. Recommendations to the cook: in order for your steak not to be as rubbery don't pre cook, it's OK to take 15 minutes more. The delivery took no longer than 35 minutes. read more
