Needless to say, this was our first stop before the Festival of Lights Parade started. There have been some changes made to the interior since our last visit (another cooler for drinks and misc goodies and a couple shelves of specialty cookies, etc). M Street Baking does offer many delicious treats and tonight we were told of a "secret menu item" - a pita / pasta served in a cup. The two ladies in the shop were extremely polite and kind, they welcomed us and answered all of our questions. I witnessed them go above and beyond for another customer that needed a sugar-free flavor that wasn't always available. Even though they were packed and very busy, they made the shaved ice promptly and it was absolutely delicious. It was a soft ice and delicious flavor. We will definitely look into renting Local for her birthday parties coming up.

We take long road trips and we are usually on the road on the 4th of July. No difference this year…read more Our routine is to check in, get our room, and start calling to see who is open for a meal. Usually, choices are slim, mostly fast food. Today we were lucky, Eternity Brewking was open until 6 p.m. I dropped the idea of doing yoga and we got our butts to the place since it was 5 p.m. We kike it a lot. Service was excellent, Kylie (?) was fantastic, friendly, funny, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. She was great with all the customers. The space is open, simple, and comfortable promoting a welcoming atmosphere. Few items on the menu, are simple, and tasty. I had grilled cheese with one of the best tomato soups I had in a long time, great combo. Plenty of gooey yummy cheese and toasted crispy bread I washed that down with a flight of very interesting beers. The one that took me by surprise is When Life Gives You Blueberries. Deceiving and sneaky. My nose thought I was going to drink wine and my taste buds were surprised with the tart-sour taste nothing like a beer. My husband had the chili dog and enjoyed it very much.
