Arrived at 3:30 PM, the place was virtually empty. There were 5 or 6 staff behind the counter, basically doing nothing. I placed an order for 4 items, to go. It took nearly 10 minutes to get the order. When I got home, there were only 3 items although I had been charged for all four. The customer service here is really bad. My stepdad ordered a large frozen custard with our order in the drive thru which they forgot to give to us, no big deal of course mistakes are made. When he went in the store and asked for it, the manager Evelyn didn't even apologize and just gave him so much attitude repeatedly saying "we can give you a refund or we can remake it." Over and over again. And he was nice about the mistake!! There is no reason to give customers attitude when they are kind to you. She should not be working in customer service. You guys just make people managers for no reason. Do better please. read more

Such a long wait for what is supposed to be "fast food." There are often lines at the cash register inside. Even though there are tons of employees, there is often only one working at the cash register. The drive thru wait is even longer. They have parking spots where you have to pull in to wait after you order. I like the butter burger and spicy chicken sandwich. The custard is pretty good too, but the flavor of the day has been lack luster. Instead of mixing the ingredients in, they just dump a little but on top of their normal vanilla or chocolate custard. I absolutely love this Culver's. I'm an avid Culver's lover and I've been to probably every one around the state, but NONE OF THEM compare to Howell. The service is ALWAYS friendly, the fries are always fresh and the burgers are always how you order them (in my experience). I've only had ONE problem with this location and it was once in the many times I've been. The inside is clean and the bathrooms are always tidy. I highly recommend this location. Messed up 3 out of 3 sandwich orders ...ordered no mayo sub cheddar cheese not American , got American and mayo ... ordered only onions and pickles, got the works ... ordered no cheese no tartar on fish sandwich (fish was also very soggy ) , got cheese and tartar ... ... got a bunch of sides and only offered 1 free meal in return ... so none of the 40 dollars worth of food we spent there got eaten !! Also line was 10 deep and got our meal within 3 minutes of sitting in line ... I'd rather wait 10 minutes plus in the parking lot then soend 40 dollars on food my family couldn't eat ... I had never heard of Culver's until I moved to Livingston County. This is my husband's and my favorite fast food go to. I grew up loving Wendy's. I have replaced Wendy's with this place. The butter burgers are the best. You have to wait for your order because everything is made AFTER you order it. Their ice cream is so good. It's custard so it is richer than, for example, Dairy Queen. I order plain vanilla or chocolate because I love the taste so much. The only thing that Wendy's can compete with are the fries but Culver's takes the lead in everything else! read more

Friday night, August 27, 2021 in Livingston county was a dining nightmare. Too long of a wait to dine at so many establishments ,anywhere, so my wife and I chose the Howell Culver's location. To our surprise there was not only a long line of cars for carry out but a long line of customers to dine inside. I fretted it would take too long but I was so wrong. Thank goodness we stayed. The cashier suddenly was alone and painstakingly helped each customer taking their order. His positive attitude and work ethic to do his best for each order was the beginning of a great experience for me. There was a small glitch in my order after I sat down so I returned to the cashier area to be greeted by Manager Jerimie. He patiently listened to my request and he immediately took care of my order. I somehow goofed in placing my order. Which was not Patrick's fault. Jeremie personally made sure my wife and I got the correct meal and to my surprise the chopped steak rather then my usual pulled pork dinner that I love. My meal was so delicious. With real mashed potatoes and gravy with a new side of Cole slaw, I could not believe how savory the chopped steak was. It was cooked to tasty perfection. The cooks did an outstanding job. My dining experience was so good because of the care of each employee. It reflected the night managers faith in his staff. I've reviewed many restaurants but this experience tonight was one of the best. Culver's should be proud of the Howell team. Everyone did an in credit job under the leadership not their manager Jeremie. You cannot go wrong dining here and enjoying their menu choices that they prepare and serve carefully and with pride. I hope the owner/ manager reads this review. The comment page of their survey is much too short. Tonight, I chatted with a new customer from Alaska. He was here fir only a few days but I shared my joy dining at the Howell location. He was a grateful customer who will experience the dining magic of this Culver's for the first time. I pray this team continues to work together. They are exceptional young workers who deserve this recognition for their hard work and care to provide Culver's customers with the best dining experience possible. I cannot wait to return again. I have worked Vinnie the restaurant business from Host, Cashier to Dish scrubber. I recognize the efforts and expectations that a manager and his crew must have to be exceptional. A manager who takes it upon himself to clear off and clean tables without delegating the job to sone one else. How team members help and support each other. What impressed me the most about this Culver's was the level of hospitality I received when walking in all the way through the meal. The cashier was friendly and made sure I knew everything that came on the burger I ordered. When I got my food the manager (or owner?) came and asked me if I needed anything (napkins, dipping sauce, etc.) and checked in with me again. He was clearly on top of it! The food was very good but my only area of improvement would be there was so much mustard, ketchup, and mayo that it left the bun a bit soggy. Nothing crazy though. read more

Always a ton of people behind the counter standing around, yet it takes FOREVER to get your order. Same goes for drive thru. Cars backed up. Last three times I've been to this location there was an issue with the order. Nothing like having your order wrong when going through the drive thru, then having to park and go inside and wait in a line, and then wait some more for your order to be fixed. The food is okay when it's right, but a bit pricey for what it is. Guess they have to charge more to pay all the people standing around behind the counter looking at their phones and acting inconvenienced if you ask them for help. We were not quite hungry but a snack and frozen custard sounded good on the way home from a long day, so we stopped for a side of onion rings and our favorite custard combination- vanilla custard, salted caramel, and Heath bar. If you order anything hot, be prepared to wait. I think the young man who brought us the onion rings was confused by the little bag, but we were happy with our snacks and went on our marry way. I started working at culvers 2022 in February. I was given $11 an hour. It was my first job, I was interviewed and i thought it was gonna be good. First day, It was a Saturday, i was being trained and i stood there doing nothing. I wasn't trained properly, nor was i ever worked my wage. 11 dollars an hour for a shit ton of work. I was put on "Runner" almost every single shift. i was miserable, In the winter i'd get sick for the amount of times i'd be out there running back n forth for food for customers. One day i asked my manager to put me on custard because i was experienced and i enjoyed doing it. She said she would do her best. I was put on Custard one day and the rest i was running. Still getting sick. One day it was 20 degrees snowing then raining. i got extremely sick a few days later, mind you i have a very good history of hardly getting sick, always healthy. Well not as a runner at Culvers, I was constantly being sent home after asking for more hours because i barely worked. The last time i worked was December 19th. I quit in March. That tells you a lot about how they like to schedule. This is my experience, i know that work isn't supposed to be sunshine and rainbows, but you shouldn't cry nor should you dread going to work. I now work at Tim Hortons, and I enjoy every single day i work there. Again Culvers isn't the place to go if you want a good job, they'll over work you, never give you hours, and will constantly never schedule you or send you home if they have too many people working. I don't mind waiting a little longer as you do at Culver's because I know my burger wasn't pre-made and cold. I also like that they offer an unsweetened tea. They were very busy at 6:00 PM on a Wednesday so it took about 10 minutes to place my order and another 10 to get my order served. I have no complaints about the service, but due to their current volume beware that it may take some time. I thought the chicken noodle soup was hearty with noodles, but pretty bland with little chicken. The pot roast sandwich was ok.
