As someone that is familiar with Culver's in IL the 6 years I was there, the Franklin, TN location is horrible. In over two dozen visits, only three or four times was the food order correctly prepared. How hard is it to get a cheeseburger (with "the works") value basket? It's not rocket science; it's a simple 8 ingredients in total that they apparently can't master. They're food is great and their service top notch! Greeted right when we walk in the door, so friendly and eager to help us. Was able to order our custard with our meals and then bring it out after we ate our dinner. The food was great! I got the fried shrimp with cocktail sauce and it was excellent! My husband had the cod sandwich and said it was really good, just wished the bread was toasted instead of soft, kids had hotdog on a stick and butter burger and both liked them. The Kringle fries were done perfectly and I loved the tea! The custard is excellent! We all got swirl and I will say the vanilla tastes a little gritty but the chocolate was velvety smooth- just divine! I also saw a guy RUN, lightning speed, food out to a car waiting and RUN back in. I don't know what it is about this Culver's location, but truly the employees treat me SO kindly every! single! time! I went tonight to grab dinner, and the three guys working the drive thru were not only nice, but they were polite, they were fast, and the fact that they're working on their Christmas break and they were in that good of a mood just tells you that place is run by someone who genuinely cares about their team! As of my May 21 visit, fries are still being crinkled and buttered burgers are still being flipped. And the dining room remains closed. Drive-through only means the line gets longish at times. The kitchen crew is probably at a minimum staff level, so it seems to take a little longer than I remember pre-Corona. Your mileage will vary with the times and the workload. The order two cars ahead of me was missing something and that slowed progress. It happens even with full operation, but it took a bit of a while to resolve. Thankfully, the runner arrived with three orders in hand and the line shrank by three cars at once. Got your order? Pull into an empty parking space. The outside tables are open. Or you can sit and chill like you're at a competitor's place with the radio on and a carload of good company. Oh, yeh. Ketchup. It's been quite a while since I've reviewed a fast food joint. Culver's is one of those spots that I had never heard of before moving to TN. I am happy that I've finally tried it! The food: Full disclosure, my loyalty will forever lie with Whataburger. I likes my meats big! Culver's did not slack on the freshness or overall taste of the burgers. I was happy with the simplicity of the menu. The fries were a hit too. That Wisconsin cheese... Meh... Maybe queso has done unrepairable damage to my palette. The service: Wow! This place has better customer service than a NUMBER of $$$ rated restaurants in Nashville. Culver's proves that it's not hard to put on a smile and be receptive to customers... I came during the lunch hour on a weekday for a quick bite. I went through the drive through and ordered a single burger with fries and a drink. I liked that I was able to customize my burger and get exactly what I wanted on it without any problems. Once I pulled around I paid at the window and received a number. Then you pull up and someone will bring the food to your car because they cook to order. The burger was absolutely delicious and the fries were piping hot. I was very surprised that the burger was as good as it was being that it is fast food. My only wish is that they different kinds of sauces for the burgers and fries. Very impressed! read more

Ok, so this place is like hit or miss. We always come at night, and a couple times the vanilla was gritty. Like, gross... Sometimes we didn't even realize until we had already driven off. UGH. A couple times it has been heaven on my lips, sweet nectar of the Gods. SATURDAY 9.10.16 was one of those nights! This is one of our favorite spots for dessert, but we really covet the coupons. After missing tastes of the Midwest so much I was thrilled to see that a Culver's had opened up recently and (relatively) not too far from me. Along with my Wisconsinite friend we went there for dinner. The food was just as good was...well, I felt a good deal of nostalgia over it. The burger was solid but maybe I made it up to be more in my mind than what it was. There were a bunch of people and it was hard to find a table but the service was friendly and really went out of their way to be helpful. I ordered the chocolate peanut butter concrete mixer with peanuts and the custard was as good as I remembered it. I'm trying to take my nostalgia for home out of it and rate it objectively, the burgers are okay but their frozen treats are what should bring you in. read more

I've been here regularly for the past three years. It seems like the place keeps getting smellier. Like an old sock smell when you enter the doors. I am not sure if their carpet/booths need a refresh but EVERY SINGLE TIME the smell is there. It honestly makes your stomach kinda turn. The food doesn't even overpower that smell. We come here when we stay in Nashville. They have good service whenever we visit. We have visited alone (hubby + me) and with family. We normally order butterburgers. Hubby loves the fried cheese curds. There are great kid's meal options like a grilled cheese sandwich or corndog. Went to Franklin, TN Culver's on 10/17/2020 @ around 8:15pm to order their vanilla custard. I had went to this location once before and LOVED the custard and went back to order it while in the neighborhood again. Well this time around the custard was NOT satisfactory. The custard's texture wasn't smooth, and was very grainy, like the ingredients weren't blended enough leaving it very clumpy like. I called back to complain and the manager was very unsympathetic and nonchalant. When I told him my issue he responded to me with, "Well, what can I do"? and later said, "I don't know what you want me to do." I asked him was there anyway that he could do to compensate and he continued to say there was nothing he could do. I did become angry due to his lack of insensitivity towards my issue and I eventually ended the call. I WILL NOT be going back to that Culver's. I understand that custard alone isn't much and it's not a major cost. However, it's the principle of the matter and it was still MY money wasted. Also, the manager really needs to learn effective customer service and more empathetic to customers spending money there and to make it right when a customer is unhappy. read more

One of the employees, Hunter, is the best employee I've ever seen anywhere. He is polite, genuine, and very attentive. I have now visited this location twice with my fiance, with recommendations from a friend of ours and also a coworker of mine, both from Wisconsin. The food is great and so is the frozen custard! So far, I have tried their grilled chicken sandwich with fries and their grilled chicken salad. Both meals were delicious. I particularly enjoyed their salad, as it was fresh and very tasty. I have also tried one of their shakes and their cheese curds, which were awesome! The staff is very friendly and the service is also great. A few years ago a friend of mine in Wisconsin got a job at a Culver's up there. Shortly there after, Culver's opened their first Tennessee location in Murfreesboro, but due to the distance, I was never able to try them, even though my friend encouraged me to do so. Then this location opened up and during Tax Free Weekend I finally got around to trying it. Culver's has one of the largest menus I have ever seen at a fast food restaurant. Burgers, fries, onion rings, sandwiches, dinner platters and more. And let's not forget the custards and other frozen treats. Their burger is a better bargain than Sonic, and far more flavorful. And just like most fast food and burger joints these days, their food is all made to order. The fries are crispy and by no means greasy. Then there are the cheese curds. I have had a lot of fried cheese since going to college years ago, where I had the best fried cheese, and this is the best fried cheese I have had since moving to Nashville, hands down! The service is also top notch and everyone is friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next Culver's experience, albeit a some time away as my only negative is that Culver's is not the healthiest of restaurants. read more

Yes it's a fast food joint, no it's not your typical fast food joint! They are a Wisconsin based chain so make sure you order their cheese curds which are truly authentic being from Wisconsin I should know. Their burgers at actually beef and taste like something you just cooked on your backyard grill. The double butter burger is my favorite. If you have children don't forget that each kids meal comes with a free ice cream treat so don't throw your receipt away immediately. This location has been in Franklin for quite a while now, but hubby and I just visited last night after a movie nearby. Think Steak and Shake burger, with Shakee's frozen custard, in a restaurant that reminds you of Perkins. I realize Perkins and Shakee's are no longer in Nashville, but old timers like me will know what I mean. This is fast food, so we didn't have off the chart expectations of course. It was just 8:15 post-movie and we wanted a little something. The burger was good, quite reminiscent of Steak and Shake with perhaps a better bun and a little more grease. Hubby had fries which he said were fine, nothing overly exciting. What drew us in was their board with the frozen custard flavor of the day, Crunchy Peanut Butter Dream. Yep, sold. Frozen custard versus frozen yogurt versus ice cream... I dunno. This wasn't my favorite frozen dairy-type treat of all time at all, but wasn't bad. I had my crunchy peanut butter dream put into a milkshake, and it seemed to melt a bit fast and come across less luxurious than I was expecting. And then when you get thru most of the shake, you have this residual chunks of peanuts and syrupy goodness just hanging out in your glass. The folks at Culver's need to take lessons from Dairy Queen who perfected the Blizzard, oh, I dunno 30 years ago... and not have the stuff do that. This location offers a large patio that was surprisingly crowded at 8:15-8:45 Saturday night. I mean, it sits in a Wal-Mart parking lot. I can't imagine that Culver's is cool? Whatever. Their menu did offer some melts and chicken sandwiches, a Philly, etc. that looked somewhat interesting... but we had opted for the Deluxe Burger at the friendly cashier's suggestion. It's what they're kind of known for, in their own little world. They do offer fried cheese curds, which truth be told, I did experience maybe a year ago at their Murfreesboro location's drive thru. Basically fried cheese, in little turd form instead of sticks. Wisconsin dairy mentions are all over their menu, so I guess they're proud of that. It is good, just can't say that it's superior to Sonic's fried cheese sticks or what you'd get at a bowling center concession stand or something.
