If you are Mexican, or have lived in Mexico, or have dated a Mexican, or love Mexican food, or have dreamed of ever being Mexican, you must go here to have a Chamoyada! Not to be confused with en-chi-la-da, please! A chamoyada is usually made with mangos, but can be made with peaches, or just about any other fruit...it's a dessert. I've never made one before, but I've certainly eaten my share of them in my lifetime. Let me describe how it's done. First, the ice cream parlourista pours chamoy (spicy sauce) on the cup, then spicy chili powder, adds mango gelato, mango purée, lemon, fresh sweet mango spears, spicy sauce...and then I don't know what else...but whatever it is, it's GOOD...ADDICTING! If you close your eyes and drink this...your taste buds might make you think you have traveled to a city in Mexico (FYI this dessert contains no hallucinogenics)....a spoonful of this famous chamoyada may make you feel just like Samantha from " Bewitched," and POOF! ...you're walking down an old narrow lopsided cobble street passing mercados and street stands, a couple chickens and a scattered crowd. YES IT IS THAT GOOD! If you have never had one before, and you are a daredevil, adventurous, and opened to new discoveries, I highly recommend it to you! You will not be disappointed! This place also has Popsicles of all flavors, all 100% natural! Strawberry, kiwi, guava, watermelon,....etc...even sweet corn! The location is hidden on the side of a small shopping mall, next to a tobacco store, which catty-corners to a Mexican restaurant! Ha! Great thinking people! Prices start at $2.25. I heard they are opened late on Saturday nights. They have several tables and chairs inside and a couple outside benches. Go get your Mexican on...I doubledogdare you to go try a mango chamoyada! :)

A plethora of paletas

10 stars!! great popcicles made on the premises. Their assortment of flavored waters is outstanding and delicious. My favorite is the coconut water. The ice creams are creamy, delicious, and hand made. If you're wanting to try something adventurous, I highly suggest the Piña Loco. A combination of pineapple mango juice and chamoy ( a salty, spicy paste that os out of this world)

The key lime pie ice cream.

Talk about perfection: The ice cold treats are incredibly delicious, with flavors that sparkle thanks to real ingredients; the prices are a complete bargain; the service is friendly; and the menu is unique. The menu mainly consists of paletas --Mexican popsicles -- and ice cream. The paletas come in a huge variety of flavors (everything from strawberry cream and grape to avocado and pico de gallo). The ice cream has chocolate and coffee-flavors, but also chongos and key lime pie. The key lime pie ice cream is simply incredible. I'll probably need to get them to sell me a gallon of it the next time I go to visit my Mom and aunts, who are all fiends for key lime. It's gonna blow their minds. The shop was started by a family from Mexico, and brings many of the treats of their homeland to Franklin. The neighborhood has a fairly large migrant community, and they flock here for a taste of home. It took a little while for the rest of the community to discover the place, but there are now lines at the counter whenever the weather warms up. Families love this place. If you're a native-born American looking for something adventurous, try out the Chamoyada! It combines mango ice cream and fresh slices of mango with lime juice, chili powder, and chamoy sauce -- a sweet, sour, slightly salty and spicy sauce made from fermented fruit. It's amazing.

Delicious, delicious, and delicious. Priced well! And excellent service. A must try... you'll be hooked.

Brightly dark colors. Colorful signs. On a Sunday night it packed to the gills with families enjoying delicious ice cream bars. I myself enjoyed the creamiest sliced strawberries and cream bar. Heavenly. The fresh strawberries being both sweet and tart against the creamy ice cream. The also serve a dish with a large deep fried chicharones covered with shredded lettuce, hot sauce, cream, tomatoes, onions, pickled chicharone sliced or cucumber, homemade chili sauce, and I asked for corn. It is a texture hodge podge of insanity in your mouth. Your taste buds get an explosion of texture and flavor madness that just seems to work. The employees are eager to provide a great experience and get you the fastest assistence they can while ensuring they smile and make you feel welcome!

Tasty paletas (popsicles) for a hot summer day! Fruit and milk-based options are available. The frescas are also tasty and sweet.

Amazing Mexican ice-cream, with and without dairy. They are in odd looking strip mall, but otherwise everything is good

Music city madness vanilla with no chocolate syrup add double peanut butter. I'm so excited! Also EVERYONE is so friendly, the store is clean and cozy and lines wrap around the building for the drive through and wraps inside as well. These guys are busyyyyyyyyy. This isn't JUST Custard. This creamy, flavorful, incredible consistency (ie not grainy at all), all the way to the bottom. Usually I'm NOT a small size orderer when it comes to iced treats but I feel full and completely satisfied. A bit sad that it's over but glad that it happened! Cannot wait to go back. My husband was annoyed driving out this far but by mid small of his "Hawaiian La'ua" (spelling) he was singing their praises, "I'd definitely be back and get this again!" lol Sooooo good does not disappoint!!!! Highly recommend and will absolutely be back!

The store itself is SO cute and aesthetic on the inside. You barely have to interact with the workers to make your froyo happen. You get to choose which size cup (choose wisely because you pay based on weight) to fill up. They have a bunch of froyo flavors, my favorite being cake batter. Put as much as you want in and move over to the topping dispensers. I'm a big fan of the chocolate rocks, non pareils, and m&ms. My only qualm here is that sometimes you dispense the candy and just get powder, but you can get around this by turning it until the candy comes out properly. Next, go to the self topping bar, where I recommend cookie dough, any fruit, chocolate chips, etc. (Avoid gummies, they get really really hard). Top with hot fudge and whipped cream (no need to go light on that one since it weighs almost nothing!), and then pop it on the scale to get weighed. I used a small cup, packed it with froyo, toppings, and whipped cream, it came out to 6.8oz, and it was just over $5. I really don't think that's a bad deal at all!! I'm a big fan of sweet ceces, and the fact that this one is in downtown Franklin (great place to walk around) is awesome.
