I really dislike this place. I've been to a different location and actually had their ice cream, and once again the flavors are just wack! This location is conveniently located in the main area of The Factory. The shop has a few tables. There are also benches and tables in the common area next to the shop. My favorite thing about Jeni's is that the standard size comes as two half scoops. I love being able to choose two flavors without ordering two full scoops. It's a generous serving. Kid scoops aren't listed, but are perfect for kids or someone trying to control their portion. This is one flavor only. Jeni's offers standard flavors as well as seasonal flavors. My favorite flavors here are Almond Brittle. Double Dough, Wildberry Lavender, Pistachio Macaron, and Darkest Chocolate. The little piece of cone in each cup is tasty. If you're going to be a regular then make sure to sign up for their rewards app. It's not an inexpensive treat so this is helpful. Tried Jeni's ice cream for the first time and absolutely LOVED it! They have some unique flavors that you can't find at your typical baskin Robbins type of ice cream shop. Definitely more high end too based on the atmosphere and prices. Almost $7 for two "half scoops" of ice cream. It's still a nice treat if you're there to grab lunch or dinner with family or friends. But if you want to indulge a little more I suggest just grabbing a pint of your favorite flavor from Target. They carry the Jeni's brand pints in their frozen food section and you get much more bang for your buck! Delicious ice cream though! Well, darned if my husband didn't devour the ice cream before I could grab a Photo . We grabbed a quick scoop of ice cream after enjoying Hattie B's very hot chicken. We needed some thing to cool down our taste buds. My husband ordered a scoop and before I could even snap a picture it was nearly gone. There were so many options and he was a little overwhelmed as it was our first visit there. Thankfully, he grabbed his bowl just in time because before long, the line stretched out the door and down the hall into the common areas. Obviously, it was worth the wait for them. We were lucky to get it without a wait. He enjoyed it so much that when we returned home from our weekend away, I drove to Whole Foods trying to get him a few flavors. Sadly, they were all sold out. So I guess we'll have to just come back and try them all in person. The shop was small with limited seating, but you are located right at The Factory, so there's plenty of seating in the main area. We are usuals to the Factory on Tuesday nights. Typically the line is so long and there aren't many people working which makes the experience not very fun. The ice cream is ALWAYS SO GOOD, the waffle pieces are INCREDIBLE, so so tasty. It's always bright and clean. They currently have their 5 new holiday flavors out and yuuuuum! The gingerbread and white chocolate peppermint are favorites for sure! My everyday fave is peanut butter chocolate flecks. One of our friends had a birthday today and got free 3 scoops! Mmmm! Jeni's ice cream was fantastic. I really enjoyed the Brambleberry Crisp. It was like having berry pie ala mode. The shop is located inside the old factory. There are several restaurants and shops around this location. This is a fun location with a courtyard with seating . Jeni's staff were friendly and the shop is clean. Well I thought Whits was the only ice cream game in town, but is was wrong. First of all, the shop was a little tricky to find as it is located in an old factory. This place is cool! There are a lot of restaurants and shops located in the same spot and it's fun to walk around and just browse. Now back to Jenis. I sampled several different flavors and they were phenomenal! I chose the half and half with buttercream birthday cake and salted peanut butter with chocolate. Let's just say, my tummy is full and very satisfied. The young ladies at the counter were pleasant, engaging,and knowledgeable about their product. I think if given the choice, I'd have to choose Jenis over Whits. Really, really rich and unique ice cream here in the Factory building at Franklin, which is like a mini version of NYC's Chelsea Market. Their Texas sheet cake flavor is insane! Will definitely get this every time and can't believe it's made with coconut milk instead. This go around I got the Blackout Chocolate Cake, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake (I like to call it triple cake). I have had at least 20+ Jeni flavors over the year and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake and Blackout Chocolate Cake have to be two of my favorites. The waffle slice is always delicious, and a little known secret is you can add sprinkles for free. Overall, Jeni's just has the best ice cream in the area. The smell of fresh waffle cones allured in customers as a long line began to form down the side of the entrance in The Factory. While we had to wait for a few minutes, the flavors and experience were top notch. It may be smart to have a QR code menu with daily flavors and pictures for customers to browse while in line. Upon getting to the counter, it can be a little intimidating. Many of the flavors are unique and have unusual names/combinations. I played it safe by sampling the Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks ice cream. I was hooked. I decided to get just a single scoop (kid's scoop) in a freshly made waffle cone, since we had just eaten dinner next door. The portions were the perfect amount, and I had plenty to enjoy! The staff was friendly and didn't make us feel overly rushed as we browsed the case/checked-out. There are multiple locations around the Williamson and Davidson area. We will be back, soon. I ordered the Trio, which is three half scoops in a bowl with a waffle wedge. * The Cream Puff tastes just like those frozen cream puffs that come in the box, not too sweet. I absolutely love this flavor and it's such a pretty color! * The Goat Cheese with Red Cherries was really yummy. It was like eating cheesecake, only better. Pushing the boundaries of ice cream flavors, perhaps even a step beyond those of Ben & Jerry's, Jeni's combinations are diverse, flavor-packed, unique, creative, and down-right cool and satisfying. One flavor in particular (Sweet Cream Biscuits & Peach Jam) takes me back to childhood, reminding me of my Grandma's biscuits and fresh peaches picked in the neighbor's orchard right behind our house. Goat Cheese and Cherries takes me back again with slightly tangy goat cheese and delectable, sweet black cherries (like the ones picked in that same orchard). Lemon, Blueberries, and Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt - oh my! The sweetness and the creaminess are so unexpected, especially if you've only ever had store-bought FzY. (FroYo) Moving into the newer arena of my long-lived-yet-still-evolving-in-adventurous-tastes palate is Yazoo Sue, a delectable concoction that combines my love of craft beer (Thank you, Yazoo, for the cherrywood smoked porter!), rosemary (got lots growing in our garden), and the end-of-bite, back-of-palate, slightly lingering heat from cayenne .(Yes, I'm a chili-head and proud of it!). The surprising light smoky notes from the deeply rich porter are unexpected, while the coldness of the ice cream itself blends beautifully with the medium heat of the cayenne. (Take a second taste, it might grow even more on you....and I'm not suggesting around your middle--we're talking unique taste.) Prices and sizes as criticized in some other reviews? My comment is that they are fair for the quality, the creative genius, and the smooth, cold pleasure. Slow service? Please take a deep breath and relax, you're in for a treat...just like the other people in front of you who are tasting multiple flavors before making their final decision...the same courtesy that will be afforded to you in the unfortunately small service area.
