What? I haven't written a review for Culvers, yet?? What's wrong with me?!? If you are wondering if you see that rating correctly, you most certainly do! This is a five star establishment, and not just because it's a drive thru fast food place (but especially among those ranks)! This location has outstanding service, a fantastic selection of food and oh.... my.... god... frozen custard! My team at work and I love hitting this place up, we make excuses to do a run and bring back goodies, it's wonderful! Okay, now that I've gotten the excitement out of the way, let's get into this review. First up, service really is amazing for this kind of restaurant. They go above and beyond. Today is a perfect example of that. My employee went to pick us up some goodies and decided to go inside because he wasn't sure what he wanted to order. He placed our orders and of course the ice cream goodness was ready before the food, so the woman put it in the freezer so it wouldn't melt while he was waiting. Isn't that just precious? To top it off, they held the door for him as he left, saddled down with all the food. He said he half expected them to drive him back to work, lol. However, this isn't unusual, the staff at this location is so accommodating and friendly, whether you go inside or use the drive thru. Next, that great selection of food: you can get the usual drive thru options of chicken strips and burgers, but they have so much more here! One of my coworkers always gets the ButterBurgers there and he loves them! Another exclusively gets their Bacon Deluxe and swears by it! FYI, they offer a gluten free bun too. I like to switch it up a little with one of their dinners, and they really have so much to choose from- soups, salads, fish, shrimp, chopped steak. I've had their pork tenderloin before and it's pretty good, but it seemed like a frozen patty and didn't stack up to options I've had since. Almost all the dinners can be made as a sandwich, so today I tried the pot roast sandwich because it's smaller and I needed a quick lunch. It was good, but I prefer the dinner which is AWESOME! That pot roast dinner is higher quality than you'll get in most diners, and it's in a drive thru, I think I might cry. The dinner comes with two sides and a roll. I like their rolls a lot and it goes great with the gravy. The pot roast is shredded appropriately and is a huge, tasty portion served with delicious gravy. They have great sides. I am in love with their crispy crinkle cut fries. They're... are you ready?... better than McDonalds! They have a great crunch and good flavor, but a lot less salt than McDonalds (which I know is the best part of those, but trust me, there are better options out there). I can't stop eating them, I always order them. I'm not a big onion ring person and I really like theirs, someone does an amazing job on the batter. I find their coleslaw a little too peppery for my taste, but some people like that. I haven't tried their cheese curds yet. Now, let's talk treats. I exclusively get their frozen custard but they do have other options. They have shakes, malts and floats in your typical flavors, but also offer raspberry and mint as well. I've heard their shakes are very good. Their frozen custard can be served in a dish, cone, as a sundae, as a concrete mixer and they also offer pints and quarts too! Their original is so good, but if you are feeling adventurous- they do a flavor of the day! Today was KIT KAT... so yummy.... and tomorrow is Boston Cream! It's different every day, you can check out their website to see what the flavor of the day is or go with a stand by- there are a ton of flavors to choose from. Finally value! Prices on individual items are more reasonable than most drive thru burger places by a long shot, under $3. Value baskets are around $4 depending on the type of side you get. They have kids meals and snack packs and sizes to fit all appetites. The dinners range from $6-12, and those are premium options for this type of restaurant, and the portions are very large. Upon getting home and opening my spicy chicken sandwich meal, I came to find that only did they give me half a patty but no top bun! How can that be possible? Does the kitchen not look when they place a patty on the bun that it only is half a patty? Or how do miss the top bun? Don't they wonder why they still have a top bun without the bottom? And once I took it back, the manager says, "We were busy and overlooked it." They definitely did no quality check. And they didn't care to go the extra mile for the customer when they knew they were at fault and sincerely messed up. Actually, a store employee still had the decency to ask if I'd like a water cup as I wait. The manager actually never came back to face me. The previous owners (Mrs. Ann & Mr. Jim) were amazing, caring, and always went the extra mile for the customers. This location is definitely going down in quality and customer service. Wow what a great place. I had been meaning to stop in here for months and I finally had a chance today and I am glad I did. I arrived during the lunch hour on a weekday and it was fairly active but not busy. The seating area is large with plenty of tables and booths. They take your order at the counter and deliver you meal to your table similar to Whataburger. Being my first time at Culver's, I took a few minutes to study the menu. They offer a very wide range of choices, such as bacon cheese burgers, pork tenderloin sandwiches, fish platters, soups, salads, and all types of frozen desserts. The staff was extremely friendly and assisted me in understanding the menu choices. It is great that you can order a burger combo but take a side such as green beans or soup in place of the more traditional sides such as fries or onion rings. I like that the fountain drinks are self-serve. I like to refill my beverage a few times so it is convenient to not have to go to the counter to request a refill. I ended up ordering a grilled chicken sandwich with a salad (this was a light-calorie day for me). It's great that the chicken sandwich does not come with a condiment so it's easy to just add your own mustard etc. The chicken sandwich was great. The bread bun was very soft but dense like a Hawaiian roll. The chicken was tender and moist. The salad was very fresh and the lettuce was cold and crispy. It was the perfect size to compliment my sandwich. They offer a wide range of dressings that are served on the side. My wife had a cup of the tomato florentine soup and it was great. The flavor was very good and it was piping hot (a lot of places serve lukewarm soup which I hate). The value was very good and the price was on par with Wendy's and Whataburger. But no more after this, I gave two free scoop coupon to the customer service at the window but she told the manager only one was given. So the manager ripped the free scoop coupon from the kid meal bag. I did not notice that until I got home. I called the store and spoke to the manager about this but attitude is "you don't pay for the scoop" with no apologies. In fact I lose a free scoop coupon. Burger was good, but they are not allergen friendly. I have a shellfish allergy and they cook the shellfish in the same grease as everything else that is fried. This means I can't have fries or the likes. Like most restaurants, they should allow for a clean kitchen and cook the shellfish in their own grease. read more

We have not been to this location for about 5 years. We stopped going because everytime we came they either closed early or closed the dining room early. Fast forward, NOTHING has changed. Dining room says open to 8pm but we walk in at 7:50pm and we're told that we can order but have to order to go, that dining room was closed. When asking to speak to the high school age manager we were told they close it 15min early for "deep cleaning". Is that not why you are already closing it earlier than your regular hours? Will corporate please address this location and the constant lack of quality customer service that the typical Culver's has? We would love for things to change. read more

I dig Culvers! I didn't know what it was until I was searching for food on Yelp and it came up on search. I came for a double burger with onion rings and cheese curds. The burger comes with mayo as standard, you could switch it out for mustard. Burger was great! Onion rings were crunchy and cheese curds had a variety of different cheeses. I swung by on a Tuesday night around 6:30pm, and there was barely a line for their drive-in, so I ordered and got my food in less than 10 minutes. It's interesting that you order first, drive up to pay at the window, then drive up to idle and wait for them to bring you your order curbside. I've been to this Culver's location twice since moving back to DFW. Both times we were happy with our experience. This chain has a huge assortment of food and desserts. They offer everything from frozen custard made fresh each day to hot and hearty soup and chili. They also have fried chicken, burgers and snack foods. They have prepackaged cartons of the most popular flavors of their frozen custard that's ready to grab and go. On both occasions we were immediately greeted upon entering the lobby. The customer service was a lot better than most of their competitors in this area. We chose to stay and eat our food inside the restaurant. As mentioned previously it takes a little longer for you to get your food here than what a typical fast food place however it's worth the wait for fresh made to order food instead of whatever happens to be ready. You're given your drink cups when you order and there is a Pepsi fountain located in the lobby so you can fill and refill your drink as many times as you wish.Even though the lobby was about 1/2 full the staff made sure that any empty table was a clean table. The restroom was also clean which is something that determines if I am going to stay and eat or run out of fear of food poison and potential death. During our visits here my family has eaten their hamburgers, chicken strips, fries and the awesomeness of their cheese curds. We've also been naughty and either getting a freshly made Concrete Mixture, sundaes, shakes and waffle cones in the lobby. We have also purchased various flavors of their cartons of custard to take home to eat later. We will definitely return to this location the next time we are craving good fast food and yummy deserts. Was ok tasting again nothing special. Now I also got the cheese curds which I have heard alot about. Again I took it back to the house so it wasnt fresh out of the frier. This is a fast food hamburger chain. Except they don't call them hamburgers. They call them butter burgers. Presumably because they butter the bun. Though that's just a guess on my part. Maybe the burgers are made with butter. I'm not really sure about that. They also serve frozen custard. It's a Wisconsin based chain that is fairly common in that part of the country. So I guess that's why they're so big on dairy products (they also serve fried cheese). I'd say it's better than most fast food burgers, but not as good as a Whataburger. I'd choose this place over a Wendy's or McDonald's, though. And probably over DQ. Your opinion may vary. But at the end of the day it is perfectly adequate and about what you'd expect from a fast food burger chain. read more

I first discovered Culver's while vacationing in Wisconsin, and later, as they started popping up around the country, I've always enjoyed a good Butterburger and Frozen Custard. This is my first venture to a Culver's since moving to Texas, primarily because the closest one is 13 miles from my home! Not having one in a while, I debated between the Culver's Bacon Deluxe and the Cheddar Butterburger with Bacon. I asked the girl taking my order what the difference was, and she said that the Deluxe comes with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Red Onion and Mayo, but ...since I can choose my toppings on whatever burger I select, I still don't know the difference - unless maybe the regular cheese isn't cheddar? Anyway, I selected the Cheddar Butterburger with Bacon (because I didn't want lettuce and tomato anyway) and, of course, cheese curds as my side. I had forgotten how good the Butterburger is. Two thin grilled patties, most similar to Freddie's, but I like both the burgers and the custard better at Culver's - and who doesn't like fried cheese on the side? So why the 3 start rating? For what it is, it's really, really good, but in the arena of best burgers, I'm not going to act like it compares to some of the top burgers across DFW. Culver's is a solid, affordable, burger chain that's a great change from the standard fast-food burger. If you haven't had one, you should definitely give it a try. read more

Ordered a cod filet it was over cooked and hard and inside it was cold cause it was such a thick piece. New to the area just trying different things chicken sandwich was good on my 1st visit. I called and I asked could I substitute for something else or refund still had food and receipt whoever answered phone said no that's my problem and hanged up phone. I walked in and there was no greeting whatsoever and as I read the menu the guy working the register took a while to even acknowledge me. It was at the end of our first meal there, ever, that they decided that it was their new favorite place to get burgers. Best quick hamburger in Flower Mound which is unfortunately very conveniently located on my trip home. They are quick, but slow enough you know they are doing it right. Get the double, it's worth it. Well someone suggested it and I was skeptical but decided to try it expecting to get a Long John Silvers experience. I was wrong.
