First time here, not a pleasant first time experience. The guy that took our order was very rude and didn't seem to know the menu when asked questions. We ordered the fish dinner, it was fresh and good, yet the fries were not fresh. The shrimp dinner was horrible, saturated in grease and obviously frozen and mostly all batter. I wish my wife and I had discovered this place a year ago. The prices are comparable to local McDonalds, but the quantity and quality of the food is better, and the staff and service is superior. I used to like Culver's back in the day when they first opened this location. Went again yesterday for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted with deer in the headlights staff just standing around waiting to take your order. No welcome, no nothing. Both order takers looked like they didn't want to be there, very unmotivated. The restaurant was filthy, half of the tables were dirty and the floor was even worse. When the food came the same guy just sat the tray down and walked off. The fries were barely warm and the "juicy hamburger" was dry and barely warm. Not what I remember. Eventually one of the staff finally came out and started wiping tables, what a joke that was. Again, no effort given. He missed half the trash on one table and overall this place is a joke...go somewhere else I won't be back. read more

I don't know if I'd call it a hidden gem but it's a place that might get passed over when it really shouldn't! I mean a place with crinkle fries (that are still good when they're cold) awesome burgers, and custard!! Let's start with the burgers... so juicy and that cheese is unreal, you just have to experience it!! I got the mushroom Swiss and it would absolutely be in the top 5 that I've ever had! Then the fries, so good!! They have the perfect crunch to softness ratio thay compliments the burger so well!! And for the trifecta they kill it with custard! Culver's is one of my favorite fast food restaurants- and a Flower Mound staple. I love their burgers and custard. However, on my most recent trip I had one of the worst customer service interactions I have ever experienced. When I went up to order, the employee did not say a single word. They also seemed annoyed to be serving me. There were around 7 people waiting for orders in the lobby, while 4 employees stared at us blankly not filling a single order. When asking for a status update on my to go order- the employees informed me that they were unable to fill orders because the "manager was making tea". Burgers and fries were coming out of the kitchen but sitting cold because nobody was trained to pack orders. On top of that, multiple customers walked in while I was waiting but I did not hear a single welcome in, thank you, or have a nice day. Very disappointing! Like I said, the food is great but with this service I fear that Culver's Flower Mound will be out of business soon. I am upset that this was my experience! read more

I go to the Culver's in Flower Mound if not more than two or three times a week . And normally I have a wonderful experience but tonight something was off if it had been my very first visit I would never ever go back . Tonight I ordered a grilled chicken basket with a root beer . Then I ordered the special ice cream of the day and a root beer float . Unfortunately I was focused on my float and didn't realize they had messed up my order totally . First of all they put in the custard in first and then they root beer so by the time I got to me it was just a frosting mess but custard had melted and very little root beer . Then when I got home I realized they had just given me a sandwich not the meal . This I could look past but when I bit into the chicken it was not cooked . Now I didn't have the fries I was looking forward to and potential food poisoning . But I realized I had been charged for the root beer that should have come on my dinner . They were a couple other things I won't get into but I was just so disappointed and angry . Because I going to the window at 9:30 it was too late to go back they were now closed maybe that's why my order was so rushed they were wanting to go home whatever the reason was it will be a while before I attempt eating there again . I should have turned around when I didn't see Allison at the window she always makes sure every order is correct and that be custard is fresh not put in the freezer with a film on it . Oh and I spent $19.19 and didn't have a damn thing that was edible . Because the chicken was still raw I was afraid to even eat the bread it came on . My husband is from Ohio and loves Walleye fish. We come to this Culver's because it's a good spot to meet our grandkids. Hubby called to ask if they had walleye and how long the dining room would be open. We do not like to sit in their LONG drive they and we wanted to visit with the grandkids. When we all got there the dining room was closed again. The manager rudely told us they have staffing issues. We explained that we called ahead but he did not care. So we went to Chick-fil-A. My wife and I were wanting to find a close by hamburger for lunch in Flower Mound. I looked on line and Culver's came up. Being new to the area we went and tried it. We both ordered the double patty burger with fries and drink ($20.00). The burgers were very good, juicy and hot. The Kringle cut fries were great too, more fries are Han we could eat. I highly recommend Culver's, it is very clean, service is very friendly and the burgers here are great too! We are used to eating burgers at Southlake at Kenkades which we really like. I think Culver's is equal quality in food. Other hamburger places close to us are at best one star (Whatabutger, McDonalds, Burgerking, Freddie's, and Dairy Queen). I love Culver's. I use them frequently in South Dakota. Shamefully they're not readily available in the Texas area. When you can find a Culver's restaurant, you have found a gem of a place to eat. They are extremely popular all day long. Be patient because times have changed. No one has the servers and the quality of food and workers that was evident in the 1980s and 90s. It's new times. Culver's is an excellent example of a restaurant and takeout place that serves good food. If you order the fish dinner, you get real cod fish- not a cheap imitation white fish. That's my usual order. I can substitute broccoli for coleslaw and have a decent healthy substitute. I love driving along in a state and finally finding a Culver's restaurant. I don't use the Flowermound restaurant often because I'm usually using a South Dakota location. I find they hire young people and old people of all races and nationalities. Dining room was closed due to "staffing issues". Waiting in a long drive thru line. Ordered flavor of the day in a waffle cone. Website said it was: CHOCOLATE CARAMEL TWIST Chocolate and Vanilla Fresh Frozen Custard swirled together with ribbons of old fashioned salted caramel and chopped Dove® Chocolate pieces. Was given plain vanilla instead. When I asked why I was not given the flavor of the day, the employee insisted it was, the items were "underneath". I started eating it and it was vanilla all the way through. Why lie? So as we were pulled over waiting for the other item we'd ordered, I asked to have it replaced with the flavor of the day, as it was dripping all over while we waited. Finally a person took it. Then they came back with the other thing we ordered. Then someone came back with a cone that was vanilla with chocolate shavings on top. No chocolate or caramel swirl anywhere to be found. Again, why not just admit you were out of the flavor of the day? I would have ordered chocolate instead. But I suspect they were also out of chocolate. Even then I could have ordered a strawberry shake instead. Seems like this Culver's is not run very well. Hi, today was my son's and my first time visiting Culvers. We walked in, and the dining area was clean, and ample seating allowed us to enjoy our first experience. The cashier, Joshua, was kind and patient with my request for time to review the menu. We ordered and were given a number card for table delivery. We proceeded to get our drinks, condiments, and napkins...that area was a little messy, but that is to be expected sometimes due to being a high-traffic area. We received our food, and both enjoyed our respective meals. The crinkle fries were a hit with my son who decided he wanted to try a dessert and went up to review the many options (a 10-year-old's dream). He came back and informed me that he noticed that he had stains on his pants. Upon a closer look, I realized that his pants had been stained due to sitting on the seat that had been cleaned with a bleaching agent. I recalled smelling a hint of bleach upon our arrival, and due to my own personal use of bleach to clean my home, I didn't mind. I appreciate Culver's dedication to maintaining a clean and sterile establishment. However, I think the workers should be given additional training on correct measurements and/or proper methods of completely drying off seats and tables when using agents that could affect the customers' clothing. I am thankful we had changed from our church clothes and had on casual attire! Will we return? Absolutely! I've recently been on the search for the perfect burger. I want it to have a buttered, crisp bun. I want thin patties, with crisp lacey edges, and I want a good bit of American cheese. I've been going to Michigan and Wisconsin for almost my whole life, and I'll admit, I never once stoped at Culver's. Please don't kill me Midwesterners, I've already gotten a lecture from my entire yankee family. I was in the area recently, and decided today was the day. I waited long enough, so I swallowed my pride and walked in. I was amazed at all the different options, from pot roast, to soup, to fish. But my heart pretty much stopped when I saw the Butter-burger. I know all too well that when a restaurant has this on the menu, you order it. I also went with fries as my side, because I didn't know you could change it for something else. I would have if I knew, because I'm not the biggest fan of fries in general. I desperately wanted to try one of the shakes, but I had too many places to go that day, and a shake just didn't fit in my future. I really liked that the inside was a little vintage looking, even though this location isn't even old. It really reminded me of a Braums, just with nicer employees and cleaner tables. My burger was quite good. It wasn't mind-blowing, mostly because crisp edges weren't exactly there, but it was still very good, and I was so hungry I ate it in two seconds flat. The fries were better than I expected, and were just salty enough to be crave-able. I still have research I need to do at Culver's. Every time we come here, it has been drive thru! All times, we have gotten their concrete mixer. DELICIOUS and packed to the rim in the cups they serve it. The only downfall is that sometimes (I know it is summer time) their custards are a bit melted when served. Burgers here are much more flavorful and fresher here than In and Out, in my opinion. Ice cream is also always a hit; so refreshing. Service is usually good unless there's a long line then they get kind of annoyed, but the food still is made fresh and not sloppy. Too bad there's not more Culver's opened around Texas. Hello! First things first, I work in the kitchen at this Culvers and everyone is very dedicated to their job. Although we all are humans and don't get it right sometimes, we always work through the shift and are grateful for having customers come by. As to the wait, we at times have only 2 people in the kitchen when it is meant for At least 4 people. At times we have 6 people running the restaurant in total, which unfortunately can cause delays. Nevertheless we work tirelessly to ensure we get orders right which is why it may take a bit longer than some customers would like. Sometimes we make mistakes, or we get so many orders at once that it takes a minute or two to catch up with all of the orders being placed at once. As a worker at Culvers, I've opened my eyes to what goes on behind the curtains of many fast food places, and I've learned that mistakes are bound to happen, because nobody gets it right 100% of the time. Furthermore, my patience has grown as an individual and when going to get food at other fast food chains. In conclusion, here at Culvers, we strive to do our best for all of our customers, and I'm glad to see that this restaurant has so many people that love it. read more

Disappointed! Drove 40 minutes to visit. The line was backed up and when we got the turtle concretes we ordered they were soupy. My husband took them back in and asked if they could be remade and the manager said they would be the same as they use 200 degree hot fudge and caramel. The real issue is that the line was backed up and they made them as soon as we ordered them and let them sit while we waited to get to the window. I've visited this Culver's many times and I have never been served such a soupy concrete. If the fudge and caramel were really 200 degrees wouldn't the turtle sundaes be immediately melted by the heat?! Poor customer service followed by clearly poor management given the line, how backed up it was and the lack of organization related to getting orders out in a appeasing fashion.
