The best part of Jakes is the real estate. They're in a prime location on the corner. Beer selection is okay, burgers are very heavy and you're going to be in the bathroom a couple hours later but overall it's not a bad spot. I used to frequent Jakes years ago and really enjoyed it so when a burger craving hit, I decided to come to this location. I came in not to long after they opened and sat in and ordered the jalapeno bottle cap burger and an order of fries. This location seems pretty popular, it filled up quickly while I was there, but my server Bethany was friendly and attentive. My burger looked as hearty and delicious as I remembered and it absolutely was. The burger was juicy, flavorful and though it's a double patty it wasn't meat heavy. The burger was skimpy on the fried jalapenos next time I'll either ask for more or just order some on the side. Fries weren't the freshest but they were still good. Overall, everything hit the spot so Jakes will definitely be seeing me again. read more

When I asked the manager if he would eat the burger they served me, he literally laughed and walked away. Blue Cheese means crumbles ... not 4 oz of liquid salad dressing on a burger. Amending this to answer the managers reply below ... note how she blame shifts and gaslights me for not knowing that when their menu said blue cheese, it meant salad dressing. Note how reporting that to management immediately, while there at the table, is in her mind ... insufficient. It is this attitude that cascades from her incompetence into bad food and my 1 star review. Amending again to answer Kendra's second reply. Notice how she deleted/replaced her first comment so you could not see it for yourself. Notice how her second reply gaslights me for feelings instead of apologizing for a burger with thin Dali's dressing pouring out on all sides before my first bite, or apologizing for the manager's failure to offer then what she offers now. My husband and I had such a pleasant experience at the Flower Mound Jake's recently. We were out and about on our bicycles and decided to sit at the bar for a few drinks and dinner. The service was ok but the food kinda took longer than expected ( 35mins ). The Hangover was the best part of the food! The fries were alittle stale it felt like they were under the heater for too long the management and server did come check up on us soo that was a plus . The only thing that was good about eating at jake's yesterday was our server. Everyone else including the manager and cooks have terrible customer service. Got served a full raw piece of chicken and then when i say i don't want it they later come back with desert and instead of putting cinnamon on my churros they wanted to put salt and pepper. I'm sure they that it was amusing but i came here to celebrate my birthday. Also the burger wasn't cooked fully so my stomach still hurts onto the next day. don't recommend coming here ever again read more

I used to like this place but it has been a while since I was there. Today we went for a burger and several things jumped out to me. First they removed the 16oz PBR beer, they removed the Jake's single. The prices were raised AND fries were no longer part of ordering a burger but a side (bad choice). I ordered the Double burger with all the toppings and when it arrived it looked like an attempt at a smash burger but a total fail. Very dry even with all the lettuce and I mean ALL the lettuce. (Enough for a side salad). As for the burger itself it looked like it could have been assembled by Stevie Wonder. Condiments half on half off. Burger patties were in pieces, sort of put together like a puzzle. Then comes time to pay the check and out whips a hand held calculator looking thing held in front of my face and asked if it looks right. I said yes and pulled out cash and the server seemed confused. I gave him some money and he asked if I wanted change. By now I was not very satisfied so I said no and put in another buck. Had he brought me a paper check and change he would have gotten at least 20% but he ended up with maybe 10%. I never did get a receipt. Too bad because this place is close to one of my houses and we're over that way a lot. Looks like we'll have to find another place for a burger. read more

My daughter ordered the burger and fries off the kids menu along with a Sprite. I had the seasonal pastrami burger with Jake's fries. Everything came out hot and quick. The burger itself was pretty messy. It would not hold together. The condiments pretty much made it slippery and you had to hold it together with your hands. The caramelized onions did not want to stay on the burger. Maybe location? Of the onions could have been adjusted like between the bottom bun and the burger or between the top bun and whatever was next after that. The taste was just okay. Maybe even perhaps the option of charring up the pastrami, or maybe even cutting into it into strips and making it crispy like bacon or deep frying it, would have made it better. The burger also came with bacon, lettuce, tomato, etc. Service was definitely a five. They had many waiters and waitresses attending to our every need. read more
