Culver's is my favorite fast food spot when visiting greater Chicagoland. This was my first time visiting the Bolingbrook location while I have eaten at the Plainfield location a year ago. My family member ordered at the drive thru and a kind young lady came out of the restaurant and served us our order. We actually had to come back after a minute later because another family member placed an order. We got another nice employee who brought our order out to our car. (There are multiple cars that proceed to a waiting area.) Anyway, I only ate half of my fish sandwich and ate more fries. Didn't really try the cheese curds which I normally really like. Unfortunately was feeling unwell that evening from previous turbulence/motion sickness after the plane ride. Seeing the rest of the fam enjoy the butter burgers, cheese curds, fries, etc is good enough for me. All those items I mentioned I've had in the past. Oh, and hubby really likes Culver's too. The restaurant is a stand alone establishment on Bolingbrook Drive. Around 8pm on a weeknight, it was a short wait from ordering to receiving the complete order. They give you a coupon for frozen custard after your purchase. Will be back next time for a butter burger, cheese curds, and a frozen custard! :) read more

This is a very clean restaurant, the service is very fast and the food is delicious, the fish dinner is done just right and the batter on the fish is very light and flavorful, the Cole slaw is creamy and fits good with the fish, you could get fries, mashed potatoes or onion rings, you get tarter sauce and lemons, everything comes together well, my favorite is the root beer it has an A&W taste, brings me back to the old root beer stands, Culver's has a lot on their menu, I have had many of them, the cheeseburgers are delicious, if you haven't gone to a Culver's yet you need to give them a try, you will be happy you did, don't forget to get a dessert. read more

On September 10th, I mentioned how I felt that culver's claim of "fresh" is meaningless. This is far from being the first time that I have mentioned how items are ready at different times which means that something in the order is no longer as fresh as it could be. On 09/11/25, the manager posted a reply: "Sep 11, 2025 "Nina, thank you for sharing your feedback. Sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet your expectations regarding the timing and freshness of your meal. We value your input and encourage you to visit guestservice@md-restaurant.com to share more details. Your insights help us improve." That is really rich. What the Manager failed to post was that I have contacted Culver's via their surveys (over and over) stating similar statements. I have also mentioned this at the store, face to face and they still fail to try to prevent this from happening again. In their defense, the time that I was vocal about it recently, they did offer to remake the order. I responded by saying that I did not accept that since I would have to wait longer. My reviews will continue to stay on Yelp since it is really difficult for them to improve their timing for when items will be ready close together thereby forgetting about making one of the items. read more

"Fresh" is meaningless when food is not prepared to complete near or at the same time. Slow or busy, no difference. Two sandwiches and a Crispy Fry. God forbid you to order fries "crispy". Crispy fries take longer than regular fries. It's all in the timing. When there is a burger cook, fry cook, assembly, etc in the kitchen, then you have enough people to figure it out. When the crispy fries take longer, the sandwiches sit there. Are they fresh? Not really. I've spoken to the front line but it makes no difference. Again, is it fresh if your sandwiches are waiting for the fries for 2 to 5 minutes? Then don't claim that it's fresh. read more

THE PICKLE KING Dill, sweet, fried-on-a-stick, I'm a big fan of pickles and Culver's understands that obsession better than most. You'll find the Bolingbrook Culver's on Route 53, halfway between Boughton and Lily Cache Rd. It's one of two near our house and we throw plenty of business their way, since ButterBurgers are one of the better quality burgers around and a single patty bacon chee at Five Guys costs nearly $11 now (those greedy bastards!) I was feeling famished on 7/8/21, so I ordered the double bacon deluxe w/extra pickles ($6.29) as part of a meal (+$3.40). My side is usually mashed potatoes w/gravy, and I always opt for root beer (Culver's has their own brand, it's smooth and creamy like A&W). I also picked up a strawberry shortcake concrete ($4.39) for my wife, because I love her. Culver's -- like Chik-fil-A -- has long had a reputation for polite interactions with customers, and though this location isn't quite as jovial as the Franklin Park spot, they're still pretty nice. We've only experienced 1-2 hiccups across a dozen visits, minor stuff like no ketchup in the bag, regular coke instead of diet, etc. On this last trip, the guy in the drive-thru gave me the nastiest, jankiest $1 bills I've ever seen. They were crumpled, torn, slightly moist, someone drew a beard on George Washington......and the guy handed the trio of singles to me like he was disposing of a biohazard. How many stripper's asscracks had they been in?? I'm worried these bills gave my wallet an FTD (financially transmitted disease). * TL;DR * Ever since I bought a bag of dill pickle popcorn from Trader Joe's, I've welcomed pickle-flavored things into my life. I'm a little surprised that fried pickles aren't on the Culver's menu (their cheese curds & onion rings are battered, how hard would it be to do the same for crinkle-cut pickle chips?) but maybe that's only a matter of time. He then gave the total cost of the food but I told him I think he forgot a meal that I ordered. He made a bit of a snarky comment " oh I thought I read back the order" which when he did it was correct but he still forgot the 1 meal I ordered. We love our trips to Culver's we probably dine here twice a year because we live in the city and Culver's are always in the suburbs. We tend to go to Culver's after a fun family activity when we're hungry and want something better than McDonald's and custard treat. Culver's has pretty good service and clean area our kids have a good time eating their kid's meal which comes with a kid size scoop of custard with sprinkles on top. My husband and I fill out their survey to share a custard cup together. We had their Mushroom Swiss burger, and cod fish sandwich it was delicious. I love their burgers I can really taste the the beef and it's not overly salty food. I love their onions rings because it is beer battered. I like their fries too very good for crinkle shape fries. Our kids had cheeseburgers they gobbled it down and my youngest had chicken fingers which she enjoyed as well. We like our time at Culver's we will be back probably in another year or so as we don't make fast food chains too much of a habit anymore. read more

I've got to say that my mom and I aren't big fast-food eaters but we actually had a great experience here about a week ago. It all started when one day out of the blue, my mother who always eats home cooked meals, was craving french fries! So, I knew right away that she had to try Culver's fries... they are undeniably one of the best. You know what I mean right? Anyways, I remember having some Culver fries months ago and they were memorable so I decided to take my mom out on a mission. Now since I'm a coupon fanatic (but not enough to be on the show for Extreme Coupons), I had handy in my purse a B1G1 for a Delux Butterball burger. It was a great deal. Normally, one burger was about $4 but we got the 2nd one for free. It was a double stack with cheese, mayo, veggies and all sorts of goodies inside. We then ordered a side of fries (small size) and it all came out to be about $6.50 after tax. The fries didn't fail to disappoint and my mom was impressed. Then, we had split one burger between us (since it was only 4pm so there goes spoiling our dinner) and it was good. They don't call it a Delux for nothing, there was definitely oil and bacon involved so don't tell your doctor. What I'm most impressed with this place is not about the food or the burger (or the fact that they had great coupons though that helps) but it was with the staff. They were pleasant and helpful. Granted, it wasn't a busy night for them but the person who took my order was Spencer, Associate Manager, and he was very kind to us. He came and check our table if we were alright and the young gentlemen who brought our order out kindly check on us 5 minutes later too. They made me feel like I was dining at a decent restaurant and not a fast-food place and I only spent $6. Now that is priceless. At one point, when asked if I needed anything I mentioned that I wanted a knife to cut my burger, the staff went to get it for me so I wouldn't have to get up. Then when I told the AM that it was my mom's 1st visit to Culvers, he gave us a complimentary custard. We were blown away by the service and friendliness at Culvers because it is something we haven't seen at fast-food places in, well, ever! So good job management, whatever you're doing, keep doing it! Usually, my experiences with Culver's is wonderful, but this time it was terrible. Let's start with the kid taking orders at the drive thru. I ordered a hamburger snack pack with everything, a cole slaw and a sweet tea. He asked me if I wanted cheese on it. I repeated that I ordered a hamburger with no cheese, but everything else. I pull up to the window, the girl taking my money was very nice, but when she repeated my order back to me she said I had fries as a side. I said no, I had cole slaw. She looked over to a co-worker, who, I assume, was the guy who took my order and kinda snickered. She then asked me to repeat my entire order, which I did. When I pulled away after receiving my bag of food, I just so happened to look in my bag and voowallah, I had fries, I pulled around and went inside and a girl who was just about to head out the door with an order asked me if there was a problem. I said yes and I said the nice girl at the drive up window had me repeat my order, but I still got fries. She looked at my pink slip, and it said #50, which the bag that she was holding also had the #50, which was my right order with cole slaw.
