I'd give Mickey's Gyros a solid four stars. It looks a little "weathered" from the outside, and sometimes that will discourage customers, but it's clean and bright on the inside. The tables were all clean and supplied with plenty of napkins and catsup. I had the Gyro combo which will set you back around $13-14. The gyros was delicious and plentiful. In fact the pita almost struggled a bit to contain it all. The fries were crisp and golden. The pita was fresh and moist. All in all, a very satisfying gyro experience. I'll be back! read more

Mickeys bolingbrook, I have enjoyed the food from Mickeys for years, but yesterday placed an order when I was headed back from the city ordered the new Broasted chicken dinner and gyro plate. The last time I order the chicken it was taste and crispy and juicy, yesterday completely the opposite I ordered at noonish to pick up at 1 now I no some places at 7pm ir 8pm let food sit and they re-fire. This chicken was dry and not fresh or crispy its as if it was a day old and they simply refried it! The broasted potatoes were basically baked potatoes not what their ad pictures show! Very disappointed! Their is a Mickeys closer to me I think I will see how that location measures up!! When places get lazy they get lazy. The gyro plate was decent can't really screw that up but they should stop selling chicken if they are going to produce a less than decent product!! Went there for the second time last night. The gentleman at the drive through was so nice. The French fries were so hot that I had to wait to eat them :) and they serve a large portion. My 19 year old was making yummy noises as he ate them. Had the 2 piece breast dinner to share and there was so much food we couldn't finish it. They were a generous size and very tasty. I can't say i ever had anything bad at this Gyro/hot dog stand. My latest finding is their Gyro greek salad. They give you enough meat to have a full size Gyro and still have a great salad on the side. my only complaint is the tiny cup of dressing on the side. at a minimum of two is needed. I believe the standard is one small cup of dressing and one small cup of tzatziki sauce. I always get no tomatoes and anchovies don't come on the salad. Mickey's Gyros came highly recommended from a friend and for good reason! They serve up some tasty Chicago-style food. We popped in for lunch and got a pretty standard fare across the board: hot dogs, pizza puffs, and a gyro. Having sampled all I can honestly say that everything was delicious! Granted, it is not the most amazing or best Chicago-style food around but it definitely does the job. In fact, there wasn't anything particularly wrong with any of it, it just didn't knock my socks off. The same goes for the restaurant itself. I'm shocked I never wrote a review for this establishment. Generally they have pretty tasty food. The fries, crinkled, hot, salted, and very tasty. The hidden gem on the menu, imo, is the Greek Chicken Wrap. No feta cheese for me, not a fan of feta in general, but everything else is so good. I hadn't been to this one for a while so I decided to come in at Cheddar's was way too crowded and I didn't feel like waiting an hour for a table so I thought I'd go down by Walmart hit up Mickey's and see what it's like haven't been here for a while I wasn't let down came in took a look at the menu wanted fish tonight. they have shrimp tilapia perch but I didn't know if they had lake or ocean perch but I did see the boneless catfish fillets which I did have and they were fantastic nicely seasoned nice and hot and fresh something I would definitely come back and have again they were great. I didn't want no coleslaw so they give me some extra fries I got a cup of cheese for the fries and diet Pepsi. the covid standards are kept up very well here it is very very clean tables are wiped down as soon as they're used which is a great thing and they're all in all is a very good dining experience definitely come back here again since it's close to where I park truck. although this is a separate Mickey's and still a good one the ones who taken it over. the can was nice and clean too before I left I used it. read more

I went to Mickeys on Friday, and the gentleman that took my order (slim guy glasses with dark hair) was very kind and accommodating. He spoke highly of their broasted chicken, which I ordered and enjoyed. I went back with a friend the very next day, 12/16/2023, and the woman cashier with the blonde long hair took my order and was very rude and non accommodating. When I visit a restaurant and the food is good, I will recommend it to clients and friends and gladly return. I enjoyed your food, but if the service is going to be like what I experienced on my last visit, I will think twice about returning. I see other negative comments in your reviews that sound like the same cashier. I work with the public as well and service many clients and know there can be bad days. However, we must be mindful of who is coming in and out of businesses spending their hard earned money because bad service doesn't go unnoticed.
