I ordered beef, chicken patties, oxtail, and rice with peas. The chicken patties were overly hard, and upon bringing this to the staff member's attention, I was informed that they were merely crunchy. However, I believe they were, in fact, old and overcooked. Additionally, both the oxtail and the rice were similarly overcooked and unpalatable. Regrettably, I found the service to be lacking, and I DO NOT recommend this establishment to others. Food was delicious. The goat had just the right amount of spice to it. The service here was great. Story time: I went to this restaurant and asked for curry goat. When I got to my car, I realized they mistakenly gave me oxtail. I went back to have my order corrected, and not only did they give me a plate of Curry Goat, they told me oxtail is one of the most popular dishes, and he gave me a sample to try. The sample was very delicious and I see why it is popular. I may go back for the oxtail soon. I just wanna start by saying the customer service was horrible. I walked in and ordered a large oxtail platter and I wasn't spoken too at all, just given a mean look. The price for the plate of oxtails was very steep (around 29$) for about five oxtails on my plate that was all bone and fat, and on top of that, I ordered an oxtail plate and got a mixture of oxtail and beef stew. Food was cold, stale, lower in quantity than what I paid for, and tasted terrible. I ordered 16oz of chicken, and as soon as the food arrived I could tell the chicken did not weigh 16oz. So I put it on a food scale and it showed that I received 13oz instead of 16oz. I was hungry so I tried eating it right away and it was not only cold, but it also tasted like left overs from days ago. I worked with a company that did advertising for smaller restaurants. So I got to see a slice of the tristate area's dining. My second favorite was the Indian fine dining restaurant Sambal. But if I'm going to be honest my favorite restaurant we did service for was this hole in the wall Caribbean restaurant. Perhaps I am biased as I had never had oxtail before. This was my first visit to Kul-Cha. It was a Saturday at noon. I ordered the jerk chicken lunch. The two older ladies working were polite and helpful describing what goes into the meal. It is generally a take-out place but seeing no sitting customers, I sat at one of the two tables. I enjoyed my meal while listening to country music which I think was turned on for me. There is a small television but that was not on. I chicken, the rice, the vegetables and the planteens were great not to mention plentiful.
