I had that "Jersey Meat" (Taylor ham or pork roll, whatever you call it) egg and cheese but I'm happy I listened to the owner here and also got the Chopped Cheese. This breakfast sandwich was stellar but the Chopped Cheese was very possibly the best one I've ever had. The Jersey meat had a hard sear to it, which I love. Plenty of meat, cheese, and eggs on a fresh hard (Kaiser) roll. I got it with just pepper. Jersey meat is salty enough on its own and I typically don't rock ketchup with eggs. This would have been awesome with a splash of hot sauce though. Great sandwich. The chopped cheese was the hero here though. This was on a fresh jersey long roll and the seasoning in the meat was fantastic. Best seasoned ground beef I've probably ever had for a chopped cheese. Plenty of cheese, the roll, and the toppings were all very complimentary. The sauce is great on this as well. I got that extra drizzle overtop and I'm pumped I did. I had a side of it as well and trust me, I used it. Do not pass on this sandwich if you come here. The owner here is awesome, the food is great, plenty of parking on the streets around the business in a residential area, and the price is right. Salt Pepper Ketchup - Didn't Suck!

The pernil was honestly some of the best I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot of pernil because it's one of my favorite foods. It was incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection. Even the skin was delicious and packed with flavor. I'm usually not a fan of vegetables mixed into rice since a lot of restaurants use frozen veggies, and I prefer fresh ones. But the rice was so good that I could have eaten it by itself. It was a thicker long-grain rice, not sticky at all, and it paired perfectly with the pernil. The empanadas were amazing too. Next time I'll have to get there earlier because they sell out pretty fast. I even made sure to save some leftovers for the next day because I was already craving it. Honestly, I'm craving it right now while writing this review. Unfortunately, I forgot to take any photos.

We were greeted by a woman who apparently doesn't know how to smile. She proceeded to tell us this is a take-out restaurant. But we saw plenty of nice tables so we asked if we can buy our food and sit down. She said yes so we ordered. I got the lunch special of oxtail, yellow rice and beans and ordered a side of Tostones. Scooped up my food with an impression like she just dreaded to be at work. It comes with a bottle of water or soda. The food was lukewarm. It was served lunchroom style. Anyway, the food was fine. There's a clean restroom there. However, the feeling you get is one of being UNWELCOMED here. I saw 3 staff. No one seemed happy. I am giving it 3 stars for atmosphere and 3 stars for lukewarm food.

Known for their empanadas. A few parking spots out front, not really meant for dine in anyway. Wasn't busy at all on the Monday afternoon I went, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of their orders were just Uber eats or catering runs. Price Point: Around $2.50-$3.50/empanada. Overall seemed very reasonable for the quality/quantity of the food. The rest of the items seemed well priced too although I only got empanadas. Pros: Service was quick, food was made fresh, and everything tasted delicious. It was a very simple lunch run for me and it was executed perfectly. Cons: Since they weren't very busy, they weren't sure if they had the gyro meat for my gyro empanada, but were able to find it and whip it up. Could've just been an off day and they were waiting on inventory, which isn't much of a con, but it's the only thing that had potential to ruin my quick lunch. Overall: Highly recommend trying this place out! Never knew it existed and I'm certainly going back for more empanadas and other food. Great local small business that I am happy to support in my hometown.

This vibrant culinary tapestry weaves together indigenous ingredients, European techniques, African traditions, and Asian influences to create some of the world's most exciting and diverse food experiences. For over the past two decades, these chefs have elevated traditional ingredients and techniques to new heights. We've passed this restaurant many times on a busy River Road in Fair Lawn and decided to stop in. Upon entering this warm and cozy interior without a reservation as first-timers, my partner and I managed to locate a table outside on this summer-like day. Juany's Cafe is a cozy, family-run establishment making a great impression as a place for brunch on locals and visitors. The owner is Peruvian, and the Mexican cook began in the kitchens of his homeland, known for its authentic Latin-inspired cuisine. We decided on the Latin bowl with marinated steak accompanied by black beans, sautéed veggies, avocado, and sweet plantains & Grilled Chicken Burritos with Sweet Potato Fries. Complimentary fruit salad started our meal. All ingredients were fresh, and the seasonings were unique with their bold flavors. There was a wait time for food as everything was homemade, made to order, and well presented. The prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the food. Our server was friendly and accommodating. The service was a bit slow due to a large party group. Brunch is the norm here, but we can't wait to try it out for dinner.
