Greedy unethical business practices. I used to order two large size porridge from them on ubereats roughly twice a week. After about a month or so I noticed they stopped offering the large size which is a $3.00 uncharged/addon from the extremely small size that they sell for $10. Essentially greedy owners who decided fleecing their customers by charging $10 for 6-8oz of porridge vs $13 for the larger size. Fantastic times a thousand!!!! I don't have much else to add--- I can describe the jerk chicken I ordered. A small will fill you up! They sell other bakery items-- a family style Jamaican bread (unsliced) and sliced (delicious-- I enjoyed toasted with butter at home). Their chicken seems charcoal grilled (but honestly I have no idea) it was amazing! Crispy and juicy; falls off bone, hot, fresh-- and they offer sauce -- I didn't try but want to next time. I have to have a few more meals from this place to give this place a proper review but so far so good. My first time coming here, I ordered a beef patty and it was really good so I certified it a solid spot for beef patties (yay). Their patties are flavorful (as they should be) and the crust has just the right amount of flakiness to it. I've since had the ackee & sailfish. The portion was a good size and the taste was pretty good, it just needed to a tad more salt. I also went back for a customer appreciation event they were having where they were giving out free jerk chicken and chicken soup. The flavor of the chicken was good and the sauce was superb but the chicken could have been cooked a little more. It may been because so many people were waiting for jerk chicken and they were driving serve them as quickly as possible. I would have to go back order the jerk chicken another time to really give it fair review. Aside from the food, the space in the restaurant is decent enough to stay eat in. I was recommended to Mamma's Kitchen by a fellow Caribbean co-worker a few years ago and I've been coming here since. I'm in another county, but my husband and I will drive from afar on weekends to get food for the kids, and they love it. It's always a real treat for them. I get a few pounds of their flavorful jerk chicken (call ahead!) with delicious ripe plantains (those go fast, so order early), and of course the beef patties are the truth!!! They go fast too. And this is one of the few restaurants that I've noticed that carries the full line of Veggie Tarry drinks, my hubby's favorite! I won't say his favorite flavor, lol, but they always have it. I gave it two stars bc the chicken was pretty good. The cabbage was terrible! Absolutely no flavor and it was so hard, almost raw . The rice... what can I say about the rice?
