HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE…read more The only nice thing I can say about this place is that the lady on the phone taking reservations and collecting the money was personable, and the staff are doing their best with a bad situation. Everything else was subpar. I reserved three units in advance to store all of my belongings, and since it was highly rated on Google, I didn't think to go to visit. When I arrived with full moving trucks and crew of movers being paid by the hour, I was disappointed to find that SecureSpace was entirely unsuitable to store anything of value. First, it was blazing hot inside. There was no climate control, which made me very concerned about potential damage to electronics. More alarmingly, the single elevator took nearly 10 minutes to ascend three floors to my units (more than one group was trying to use it). Even if I had arrived when they first opened at 9AM, it would have been impossible for me to unload everything before their 6PM closing time, (which are pretty limited hours for a storage facility). I had to come up with an alternative quickly (see my review for Mini U Storage on Swann Ave) and cancel my leases with SecureStorage. Since I never occupied the units and the office staff explained I would see a refund in a few business days, I thought my business with them was over. However, three weeks later, I still hadn't received my money back. I had to go back down there in person, where the staff explained that they had other priorities with their facility, and they hadn't gotten around to their admin tasks yet. This is a wild, but understandable explanation given the condition of their facilities and how convoluted their systems are (it took me more than 10 minutes to sign one lease after going through their biometric signature process!!!). To their credit, they did process the refund after that visit. All said, I am grateful that I didn't end up storing anything there. Also, I think I've solved the mystery of the high Google ratings -- they seem to be under new management, but got to keep the ratings from the old owners and previous condition of the building. Hope this gives a more current idea of what you can expect if you ignore my warning and rent there anyway.

It is not often that you get great customer service nowadays. My first interactions were with Ell…read moreand Josh. Ell was very helpful and have a thorough explanation of the rental process and she did it with a genuine smile that you could feel that she was happy to assist without any hesitation. I was able to get the units I needed in the time frame I was looking for. I have to say that it was the team work between Josh and Ell that made that happen. Josh assisted and was able to find the units that were becoming available. He and Ell made this process such a delight when I was expecting it to be somewhat stressful with the time frame I had. Not only was this experience a breath of fresh air, but it continued each time I was at the facility. The maintenance and care of the facility is just as nice. Each time I have made a trip to my unit I see all of the crew doing something around the facility and each time they make eye contact and greet you with a smile. Josh was painting on one occasion and stopped what he was doing to acknowledge me and say good morning. You do not get this kind of acknowledgment anywhere these days and when you do it's definitely recognized. Thank you Josh, Ell and the other extremely kind and helpful maintenance helper that all I can remember is he has been with them for 4 years . I didn't want to get his name wrong. Keep up the great work and keep smiling . We need more experiences like these.

My husband and I rented a unit with the intent of only having it for 3 months. Unfortunately, our…read morecontractor went under and we had to pick up all the pieces, which means we had our unit for nearly 4 years! We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

I had gotten a few other quotes, and their pricing was very competitive. Throughout the months leading up to the move, Danny was excellent with communication and made sure we were fully prepared. On moving day, they sent a 4-man crew. It was unfortunately a very hot day, but the team worked incredibly hard. The move took a bit longer than originally estimated, but they were hustling the entire time. The lead mover, Enque, was especially kind and worked closely with us to get everything moved over smoothly. Highly recommend if you're looking for reliable, hardworking movers!

I appreciate your response, but I need to clarify a few points for accuracy. At no point did I…read morerefuse to pay for services rendered--what I objected to was the lack of professionalism, last-minute changes, and misrepresentation of the job despite providing an inventory in advance.Your team arrived late and attempted to upsell, which created unnecessary stress and forced me to rent a truck myself in order to complete the move. This was not an issue of "budget," but rather of expectations set by your company not being met. Customers should be able to rely on a moving service to honor the scheduled time, come prepared, and communicate honestly. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. What's more telling is that several other reviews describe the same experience I had--so this isn't an isolated issue. Instead of addressing that pattern, your assumption is that I "couldn't afford the move"... interesting. While I understand setbacks can occur, dismissing concerns by blaming the customer is not good business practice. My review reflects my experience so that future customers can make informed decisions.
