I also thought the service was a good value for the level of work they provided. What I especially appreciated was that they worked with me to find a solution when my plans changed. At one point, I was considering storing my belongings at their warehouse for less than a week. Rather than simply taking the additional business, they told me it did not make sense to move everything from the original location into warehouse storage for such a short period because it would unnecessarily increase my costs. That advice was one of the reasons I ultimately decided to use PODS instead. My moving needs did change at the last minute, which made the overall move more expensive than I had originally planned, but that was because of the changing logistics, not because they were trying to increase the price. I really appreciated that they were focused on helping me find the most practical and cost-effective solution. I would absolutely recommend them.

I KNOW how long it takes to move my place. Not only did this take more than TWICE as long with allegedly a whole other person, they brought a fourth unauthorized guy. And still took more than half the time. One guy sat in the truck most of the time, I have pictures, the others didn't start on my kitchen until the end, had to wait for that....later to find out when I went back to the old apartment they hadn't even finished the whole kitchen ...ran over my allotted time at the building I was moving out of, at my cost. And then they ruined my couch. So I paid DOUBLE what I was expecting, which was already more than what was quoted cause I was adding a little buffer, but ended up tipping a whole additional person because I'm not a jerk. The guys were nice but inefficient. Kept saying this is what you get with a higher quality mover, but it was not even a better experience. They were wasteful with the amount of packing supplies they used, never presented or communicated the prices of the materials they were using, which I was told was included anyway but also others I never approved or asked for. Just popped it on me in the end. Oh and then they say "we are going to adjust your time by 15 min you'll see a refund on your card" and two and a half weeks later still waiting for it to even show pending at least. But you better believe the charge was instant. I was debating sharing my feedback but was so mad I finally emailed the company. But no one had even dignified me with not even an automated response, just silence. So I come here to do something I pretty much never do. But that's how annoyed I am. Sorry but would rather recommend. Cheap Movers, way better. I used last move were a thousand times better and a QUARTER of the price. I'm not even cheap but I hate being taken for a fool, and it turned out to be just that. That's what I get what I get for using hourly movers for the first time, never again. A slow work scam, exactly what I was worried about, but like an idiot I bought into the reassurances Karen gave me but they truly let her down. I hope she knows they're having her selling lies.

While a perfectly fine storage unit company, this company has a standard practice of raising the…read morerental fee around the 6-7 month mark. We've tried to rent with them twice and it has happened both times. Rent increases over 60%! They say it's based on "current market conditions" but the rate only goes up and never down, and they cannot explain how the "market rate" jumped over 60%. We have prepaid for our unit, 6 months at a time. So we're locked in as a good, laying customer, and they'd rather lose our business than leave our rate the same. They did claim they could reduce the increase but if that's true then it's not about the market rate, is it?

My husband and I ordered our truck and motorcycle trailer for pick up. We called multiple times to…read moreverify and no one ever answered or call us back. We were able to pick up the truck a little earlier on the day we reserved. The truck MPH gauge was not working. We had to call the Uhaul hotline and we got another truck exchanged within about 2 hours. The new truck didn't have much gas in it so it was annoying we had to fill up before we left. We might of made it to Manassas on fumes. The trailer and truck was dirty and was noted on the receipt so we didn't have to clean it upon return.

I originally rented a Uhaul from the Fairfax Boulevard location. Uhaul should consider cancelling…read moreits contract with this provider. The provider was absolutely unprofessional and led to costing me hundreds of additional dollars in my move, which is completely unacceptable. I had rented a uhaul, provided my credit card and the provider decided, without telling me he was going to rent my uhaul to someone else, that he was going to rent my reserved uhaul to another person. The provider had NO remorse for doing this to me. This happened on the DAY of my move. It led to me having to reserve a smaller truck, which meant I needed to do multiple trips, pay for many additional miles because the reservation location was farther away and cause me so much additional stress during a move that was already stressful during the holidays. In my opinion, Uhaul should reimburse me for the additional cost due to their providers bad judgement and inappropriate conduct.
